When I connect my nook color to pc, nook shows that usb debuging is conected now, but on my pc neither the hardware manager shows something like android device nor other app detect this.
And when I manually unselect the usb debuging and reselect,it just shift to the usb mass storage page.I dont know why.
I am running the newest cm7.1 RC1
Sorry for my bad English, Please help!!Thanks!!
I have spent a long time trying to get the USB connection to work with adb with no success. In the end I just installed adbWireless from the market. It works flawlessly...

Connect USB to mainboard usb port .
Install latest Kies .
Reboot phone .
Connect phone with Debugging off .
Connect phone in USB mass storage mode and wait for windows to find drivers and install them .

Tried that as well and still not recognized. I'm beginning to this the problem is from the phone itself, cause i've tried it on my PC and Mac and both had the same results (not recognized)
However the phone is working normally, except to this problem
Check for damaged pins in phones micro usb socket.Use fine needle to straight them up.I had the same problem and my phone now is fine.

Yes.
Do you have Kies? If not install it.

If you connect to kies, enable usb debug.
If you connect as mtp or ptp, disable usb debug.

Do you have force fast charge turned on? If you do simply turn it off.
You have to install usb samsung drivers

Yes, from developer option enable debugging mode as pic below
And about Odin don't recognize your phone, you have to download Samsung driver>Restart PC > boot your phone into download mode then plug it to PC it will be recognized.. If you have win8 installed and it still don't recognize your phone then install driver from windows update..
In win7 it install it automatically

I've already got those settings enabled. But My phone doesn't get connected
Usually it gives me notification USB Connected and then I could select it to turn on USB or not. But now it doesn't give me that nitofcation when I connect it even though it still charges my phone. Are there any drivers inside the phone Which may have got corrupted or something?

1-I know that you are using semaphore kernel so, Did you enabled fast charge? If yes disable it as shown in pic
2- try to unplug your phone, uncheck debugging and re-enable it again then connect your phone and see

No, its useless and consume ram
Try a new flash... factory reset. Wipe cache format system dir etc to get a clean start.
It worked for me to clear the problem. Just remember to back up apps and data first.... titanium or similar.

Hello Hussam91,
I can think of two things:
First - maybe you didn't see the message in the notification bar? (see attached picture)
(The button in the middle - tap it and allow the USB connection in the next screen).
If this was not the reason - maybe this can help you then:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2144709
I had the problem that I could not connect the phone in myPhoneExplorer via USB. The reason seems to be a new usb security feature.
Make sure you have the latest adb drivers installed, like mentioned in the thread.
I ran "adb devices" from the command line (like mentioned in thread), first the phone was shown offline. Then, a popup was shown on the phone that allowed me to add my computer's fingerprint. After that, everything worked fine.
Greetings!

Hi mates
I'm running Unofficial CM 11 by wolf. But ever since CM 10.2, I've never been able to connect to Windows PC via MTP.
1. Plugging in phone to pc, lg 4x hd shows charging, but no pop out MTP in device
2. All up to date drivers are installed on my pc
3. My storage path is storage/sdcard0
Could that be the problem?
* When I set it to PTP in device, nothing happens too, just shows its charging
I tried using other Android devices connecting to my pc, it works. Only CM. Is CM the problem?
No usb plug in sound when i plug in lg 4x hd to pc, cable works as i used it with other phones, usb sound plays, recognized in device manager except lg 4x hd, no sound, not recognized in device manager
Could be due to the fact that fast charging is enabled? If so disable it and you should be good to go.

Plugging in usb to windows charges the phone but windows doesn't show it in device manager! I think phone doesn't recognize being plugged in to windows? (phone problem)
Do u knw if its CM 11 on our device that cause the problem?
