I'm currently with the stock music app on cm, and I can't seem to control the volume with a iphone earbud that has the volume and play/pause buttons. I can answer calls, use the mic, and play/pause but no volume control.
Is anyone able to control volume? I think I was able to control volume on stock rom, but I'm not sure anymore.

hi everyone
i would like to enjoy the music by my D2 as i hv turn it into the mute mode
can i do it?
it is great for me to listening music in the library
thx a lot..
You can control the volume of the ringer and system volume separately. In Manila go to Setting, Sound & Display, then turn single volume Off.
Normal and Headphone Mode uses different volume level.
You can listen to music with headphone while the phone is set to mute/vibrate

What controls?
vol up/down
Hi, Does anyone know of a way or an upcoming update that allows the ringer and external earphones volume controls to be separated? I have been blasted many times in my eardrums because i left the ringer at full and the media volume didn't stay at where it was when i left it.. Isn't good for both the ears and the heart.. lol
I am using the N1 car dock only as a charger/holder for the phone. I am not connecting the N1 to the dock, but rather to the A2DP compliant stereo in my car which I am using for both media and calls.
For some reason when the phone is docked changing the BT in-call volume or media volume does NOTHING. However, when I am not docked but still connected to the stereo, at least lowering the BT media volume lowers the output through the speakers (the in-call volume still doesn't change anything).
This is a problem for me because the in-call volume is quite low compared to the media volume so I always have to pump up the volume to hear properly. The kicker is that upon call disconnection the media starts up again at a MUCH louder volume because I raised it to hear the caller.
1) Does anyone know why the dock disables access to the BT volumes and if there's a way to disable that?
2) Is there another kernel I could flash compatible with the CM7 nightlies to boost the in-call volume?
Thanks a ton!
Is there a possible way to utilize the +/- button on headphones to 1 press and change the volume. I found an APP on Google Play called "Headset Button Controller" but it still doesn't seem to be able to recognize the Volume + and Volume - keys.
Any suggestions?
+1 I would love to know if this can be done. I have also had quite an extensive search on this issue and I have not been able to determine why this is not possible. I have seen apps that allow you to use the one button to increase or decrease sound by pressing 4 or 5 times (how stupid?!).
I have a set of Dre Beats (before people comment: if you don't like them I don't care) and want to be able to use the remote.
I have seen images of the headphone jack which has been pulled apart which indicate several connector rings, meaning that a remote control with three buttons should work. I would even settle for a stock remote from Samsung which allows you to connect your own headphones to it but nothing.
If anyone can shed any more light on this subject it would be greatly appreciated.
The white Samsung headphones that come with the SGN-7000 change the media volume when the up/down buttons on the headset are pressed.. or am i missing something here?

I would love to have an adapter where it have volume control and the receive/end call button and yet you can use your own 3.5mm earphones too.
The IEM with buttons that came with n7000 sucks moreover you cant use your own earphones
anyone managed to find such an adapter? :/
