App to see if you are [Data] Roaming or Not - Nexus S Themes and Apps

I have low signal at my work.
I was wonder if there is an app that tells me if I am data roaming or not. I am running CM7 on my Nexus 4G with, Netarchy kernel, and have set my data roaming to "Automatic" ... I see there is an option for "affiliated network" and I tried that but saw no difference.
Thanks,
Chris

You will have the roaming triangle next to your signal.

Can't force 3g on .2233

I am in a fringe 4g area where I don't have a really good signal, so I want to force to 3g but the option for preferred networks is grayed out. Anyone else have this problem?

I was able to install LTE onOff from the market, but I should be able to do it in the system settings.
Go to the Dialer, type *#*#4636#*#* and then go to Phone Information. In the lower half of that screen you'll get every network option you could ask for. Go "CDMA Only" for 2G data only and choose "CDMA Auto (PRL)" for 3G
Thanks for that, buy we used to be able to switch between 3g/cdma and LTE in the settings menu. I am just trying to figure out if it is an unfinished part of the leak or something permanent of ics.

LTE in San Antonio,TX?!

So today my atrix did something odd. I walked up to my phone turned it on and the symbol for the data had changed to 4Glte but wasn't showing that it had connected. I downloaded LTE Settings off the play store and set it the way I've seen some people say to do it on T-mobile, which is the GSM/WCDMA auto (PRL) but now the logo went back to just 4G. I saw someone say to change the APN settings to fast.tmobile.com but mine shows epc.tmobile.com and it won't let me edit it. Am I missing something?

Create a new APN and copy the other settings. The same thing happened to me in Hollywood, CA the other day but I couldn't get data with either APN.
I'll try it out after work see if maybe I can get it working. At least keeping the auto prl I have data

I still couldn't get data last night. I noticed today while playing with APNs that even if I selected my custom LTE APN, it would revert back to the original APN. So I modified my custom APN to match these settings and drove today to an area with LTE signal and I was finally able to get data.

[Q] help pkease. no LTE connection.

My problem is different: I live in los Angeles. I have very strong lte signal around my house. And I know that the tower in my neighborhood is done. However, I just can not connect to lte. When i toggle the airplane mode, the lte signal shows up, then disappear in s second. It seems that the network does not like my phone. The weird part is the the phone worked with lte only at one And only one sprint store. I already updated prl, profile, and check the SIM card. The problem stayed. Please help.
Go to settings>mobile data>network mode and make sure its lte/cdma and not just cdma

[q] lte, hspa+, edge

I'm looking for a method that will allow me to manually select what sort of mobile internet to use (LTE, HSPA+, EDGE).
This is for two reasons mainly:
1)Better battery life on 3G vs LTE
2)With a data cap I'd rather have lower speeds where I can control data usage better
3)All 4.2 ROMS do not show the mobile signal strength indicator on LTE but does show up for HSPA+ etc
I have tried several methods shown in various forums but to no avail. Also even unselecting 'automatic' and manually registering 3G under 'network operators' does not seem to fix this.
I am using T-Mobile in an LTE area.
Thanks

Dial *#*#4636#*#* and you can choose network options.... If you are on stock att or bell it will not work and you should download an app called network which also does the same...

thanks will try it out.
Also, *#*#4636#*#* works on Mexican Retail (confirmed). And this fixes the problem for network signal indicator (not for LTE though)

Verizon LTE not working after MF1 update

After the latest MF1 update from Verizon, my phone will not connect to 4G LTE network. I am not rooted, and wondered if there is something I can do without rooting to fix the problem. I do have the app "phone info" and had it set to CDMA (auto prl) so the phone would quit searching for a 4g signal constantly as I'm not in a very large 4g area and use only when needed. I was wondering if maybe when it updated, it saved that as a "default setting" and if so, is there a fix?
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Chris
