[Q] 3 button hedset control - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hey everyone,
i just bought a new headset for my captivate running continuum 6.1 and i cant get the volume controls to work. i tried a bunch of headset control apps from the market and no luck. there are designed for ipod but i thought there would be an app out there to make them compatible.
i've currently using player pro and the stock music app that came with continuum. is it possible that the volume control is not compatible with the player?
i tried to find the answer using google and forum search but no luck.
any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Have you tried voodoo control app?

i have voodoo control and i dont see anything there that would enable my headset volume buttons to work...

Functional DSP Manager for Galaxy Tab request...

As with many other users, my Tab suffers from very low volume & mediocre audio from its internal speaker specially when watching certain movies. Ive been looking for an app to control audio volume and EQ that works on the Galaxy and found an app called DSP Manager (current version 2.2).
It features a beautiful interface that is great on the Tab's 7" screen, installs without a problem but doesnt seem to have any effect when applying EQs or settings... the sound is always the same.
I was wondering if I could request to make this app fully functional on the Tab

Would be great that supercurio owns a Tab and develop the sound part as in the galaxy S.

I don't use this kernel (as I build my own), but I can vouch for Voodoo Sound

change music with the button "volume up".

Hi,
With my old samsung galaxy spica, I could change music with the button
"volume up".
I would like if possible to have the same thing on the nexus S.
I'm official version 8.3.3 and the phone is root.
Thank you
no but CM7 has music control on the lock screen
Ok thanks.
I'm a new customer to nexus S. I don't know very well others rooms and I'm satisfied with my current version except this little problem...
if you have Clockwork Recovery installed (look around XDA there are guides that teach you how to do this step-by-step). Once u get that installed, wipe dalvik/cache/factory and flash CM7 then gapps.
I'd also recommend using Netarchy's 1.3.0.0 CFS kernel because it includes Voodoo Sound (get Voodoo Control App from the market) and it'll make your music sound a lot better
I have used this guide
dkszone.net/root-nexus-s-android-2.3.3-gingerbread-google-samsung
It was the easiest for me.
Yup... CM7 works great with music and pandora.
Also, volume keys controls your email too... not gmail.

[Q] iPhone to Android Switching Questions

Hey guys, I just switched from my iPhone 5 to my new (and awesome) HTC One, but I have a few questions.
1) Is there a way to use my volume buttons as a shutter with the stock camera app? Whenever I try and touch the screen, I mess the picture up.
2) Does Play Music support gapless playback? If not, how do I get my music to show up in Poweramp?
Thanks!

1) someone would have to map it to the volume buttons if it can be done
2) go to settings then folders and library's and from there you can scan or select what folders you want power amp to use, I put all music in music folder that's the only one I check

Headset controls?

Hi guys,
Do you have an idea how to skip tracks from headset controls?
I have the Klipsch s4a and the Klipsch app and set by default the app is supposed to skip tracks on double click, but instead the redial feature is called.
This worked fine with my Nexus but for some reason is not with the HTC one.
Any idea how to make it work?

This also happens to me with the official HTC headset. Strange.
I have a question. I keep reading about volume controls and such with the official HTC earphones, but I do not have those volume control buttons! I just have one button which I believe is for like answering/rejecting/ending phone calls. So do different earphones ship with different variants or something? I have an unbranded and unlocked international HTC One.
I have the stock OS 4.1.2
Refer to my HTC headset thread for some help. You either have to buy the official HTC headset (HTC RC E240) to be able to skip tracks and raise/lower volume (it's a 3 button headset) or use apps that control the headset (they need to contain the HTC Redial Fix as well). Another method is to use Poweramp, without any third party apps, but have google now disabled
I use the Klipsch app which supposed to control the Klipsch headsets. I have tried the power amp, the same thing none of them are working (Google now is off) in all cases double click does a redial instead of skip track.

Raise headset button priority in PowerAmp and it should work.
Nope, still the same.
I've noticed it does both things, initiate the redial first then it skips the track.
For some reason the priority is to do a redial first. Not sure where and how to disable that.
@Galactus can you please post the link to your topic?
Had anyone managed to solve this issue and enable skip tracks?

I was checking another forum and I stumbled upon a thread regarding the same issue. It seems like a dead end, unfortunately, because no one seemed to figure it out.

I found that a double tap skips a track, single tap play/pause, holds is Google now

Don't have my phone right now but found headset control app I think it's called in another thread here and worked for me and I ended up buying it for 2.99. Allows you to assign multiple taps for different functions and works well with the stock earbuds.

If you can update this thread with the application's name when you get your phone, that would be great. Thanks.

And works best with power amp.
I've made some time to test more the Headset Button control app and for me this is not working properly (I'm using Klipsch s4a headsets), os 4.1.2 stock + root with the default Music app.
And I have some issues with the skip commands (double click and 3 clicks)* as they don't seem to work.
I have tried* all combinations of slow or very slow from advanced.
I've enabled the debug mode and it seems like the double clicks are not recognised.
The single click is recognized which pauses the song.
But I've noticed something,* the double click is working only if I perform a pause first (single click)* then the double click is recognized.
If I do not pause this first then the double click is not recognised.
Is there a fix or a workaround for this?
My issue is related to default HTC music app only.
Is working fine with other apps like Google music player.
Disable HTC ONE redial functionality

I was able to solve this with an Xposed mod. The HeadsetMod.apk in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423160 works (Tested on ARHD 13.3)

[Q] Is there anyway to go to next song using the volume button while using Walkman ?

Title.
I usually listen to music while outside so I use this a lot, but my current earphones don't have any buttons. I used to be able to do this on my older Xperia (custom ROM) so I was a bit surprised that it didn't work with Z3C.
I kinda like using the Walkman app but I change if there's no other way
Thanks.
Try Degauss app from the Play Store. It's also configurable and low on resources
