Tegrak overclock - Captivate Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there a guide somewhere on how to safely utilize cpu optimization that's not in Korean?

Their is a good few oc kernels and the makers usually list the program that they recommend. Like set cpu, pimp cpu, voltage control, elect. Its best to use the recommend

I was wondering what the best overclocking app was...I used cpumaster and got 2500 but I want more

I've always liked Voltage Control. It's got it all. i've also been playing around with Pimp MyCPU- its pretty neat, super easy to use. And then there is also SetCPU which is pretty popular.
Im using voltage control, easy and simple to use.

Hold up a sec. No offense but your a little off. Voltage control does BOTH. You can set a Max and Min clock just like setcpu and also allows UV. I use Voltage Control. Like I said. Its got everything you need to OC (provided the kernel is OC capable).

[Q] No Frills or SetCPU?? Best suitable min frequency other than 100 mhz??

Which over clocking app is better No Frills or Set CPU?? Suggest other good overclocking app if there..
Which min frequency other than 100 mhz is better for smmoth functiong( not at the cost of battery).
I m on Darky Rom 10.2.2 EE
Dark Core Kernel 2.9.
There is no frequency better than 100 mhz if you don't want to lose battery. Common sense, please.
Set cpu is my prefered tool atleast

setcpu, class app that also provides other good information

Voltage control !!!

OC Apps

Hey guys/gals I am currently using SetCPU as my oc app wondering if there is any better ones? What are you using and what features you like?
Set CPU allows you to make profiles but only for limited instances... battery life screen off ect. I like that loads on boot which is nice also.
Making bad decision's one at a time.
I use antutu cpu master a lot like set cpu.

Im using Andrev OC, its not really an app, it runs as a daemon, uses a script to activate at boot. Then you can use Andrev OC adjuster and Mytr Undervolt app from market to adjust the script via GUI.

How to adjust overclock options in kexec?

The kexec has pre-overclocked the CPU to 1.2GHz, and the old method to adjust the overclock options became invaild.
Is there any way to adjust the options? Like the frequence and voltage, even to overclock the GPU.

You need a kernel (or module) built with these options allowed. Currently you can only drop down the speed of the CPU. Once things are stabilized, I'm sure we will see overclocking, voltage changes, GPU overclock, etc.

You can't. Your cpu is programed stock to be 1.2 GHz but Moto underclocked it for "stock Droid 3" speeds.

Which Ap to Overclock Note? Recommendations?

Yes, I'm using a kernel (hydracore) that allows overclocking.
Which market program do you recommend I use with it?
Setcpu
No frills
yup setcpu the best.
set cpu.. very user friendly
SetCPU complete ,light and easy
I use antutu here. I can overclock gpu as well if your kernel supports it.

Voltage Control does the job well, too
nstools also pretty good, just weird permissions
