Hi,
I'm just wondering if there's a way to disable the start-up sound of my LG Optimus 2X (other than turning the phone to silent before I turn off the phone the day before)? I find the sound to be quite annoying and loud.
Thanks.
you will need somthing like root explorer and put the phone in R/W mode and go to the following
/system/media/audio/poweron
and in there is you start up sound, you can either change it to something you like or just delete it

Hi, i'm new to Qtek 2020i (XDA IIi) and i'm wondering how do i set profiles like what it used to be in Nokia, where we have silent mode, and so on.
How can i do that?
Also, how can i switch to vibrate mode or silent mode and i still have my alarm ringing loud?
Is there any ways i can do that or any software that can do that?
If you tap the speaker icon on the top bar, the popup volume slider has three preset settings.
1) On , just returns to the last volume setting
2) Silent, deactivates the volume but enables the vibration.
3) Off , as you would expect, no vibration or audio
There is a better profile tool but it was a part of the o2 customised GUI. However i find the three default settings do me fine
Thank you. Wat about having it on vibrate or off and the alarm still able to ring on full volume?
I think you cant do that, but as a kinda work arround you would need to put the phone in flight mode (turn off the phone function) but leave the sound on.
Just means you wont recieve any sms or calls untill you enble the phone again.
Try looking at Pocket Zen Phone, search the forums
I bought Pocket Zen Phone, it's a brilliant little app, and very cheap, so no excuse for not buying when it's so fairly priced.
so besides spb pocket plus and diary, what other apps is the best to use? I mean most popular and definitely a need by most of ppc users?
Mate that has to be the most commonly asked and most difficult question to answer - what you want/need to do with your device defines that.
As for a list, here is mine.
ive got all of sudden my N1 wont make any sound when touching an icon, selecting an app, or even there's no sound when dialing a dial pad..
ive try rebooting and turning off my phone but there's still no sound... hmmm... and ive been through the Sound setting menu, the option for selection sound is on.
i use setting profiles app and also the selection sound is on
i wonder what's the problem..have anyone experienced this?
regards
Possible that the volume is down all the way?
nope... ive checked those settings related to sounds but its all good.. ive pushed the rocker button to the max sound
i still can play music, incoming call still got ringtones, taking picture with vignette still produce shutter sound.. butttt when i took picture with default app camera there's no shutter sound...
yeah same here, its been pissing me off. i tried to redo the 2.2.1 update to see if something was missing through the install, but nothing.
ugh...
i suddenly remember that my update failed because of amazon.apk or something like that error 7 or that...
damn.. annoyed by this no sound selection

Hey everyone. I leave USB debugging enabled all the time and whenever I plug my phone into my computer to charge, I get the default notification sound. I have it turned off in sound settings, but in some research on this I found its in the rom to always sound.
I'm running Liberty 1.2.
Any ideas where to look to turn it off?

Use root explorer (or equivalent)
/system/media/audio
find your audio file that makes that sound
rename it to sound.bak (or delete it - thats what i did with my notification ringtones)
Or you can go to sound settings -> volume -> uncheck the use incoming call volume thing -> then put the notification volume down to 0.
I've been doing some research and it seems its in build.prop
Something like this, but its not working on the d3, or at least mine.

If you're rooted..... you can install VibraFix... it's a root app that disabled all of the vibration cause I have a smartwatch and I don't need it to vibrate. There may be another way without root... but I was already rooted so that's what worked for me.
FOUND IT!
Download an app called "Activity Manager'. Launch it, use pull diwn menu to show all activites, scroll down to Engineer Mode, tap it to make a shortcut, launch thay shortcut, scroll to "misc feature config", tap that. Unchecj vibrate on call connect.
Hello everyone,
I have the following issues with the sound on my Redmi Note 4X .
1. When my phone is on "Sound" and I turn it to "Silent" and then I go back to "Sound" it's actually still on "Silent" because when I go to the Sound settings i can see that the volume is on 0 and i need to move the bar manually and that's every time when I go from Sound to Silent and back to Sound it doesn't remember my volume and it stays on 0 and i need to raise the volume manually every time when i move from Silent to Sound.
2. Another issue is when i turn off the Multimedia Sound I am still able to hear WhatsApp/Facebook etc. notification sounds which is not normal when the Multimedia Sounds are turned off.
3. When talking on speaker, the speaker sound is very weak.
Any suggestions on these guys? Thank you in advance!
No one?
Hi, I have the same issue as #1, but no idea what to do with it. Anyone have anything?
