Notification Sounds - Desire HD Themes and Apps

Hi there!
Its been a while since I posted anywhere. I haven't seen any post regarding custom sounds, tones etc, so I thought I would upload one of my faves.
Its a Sonic The Hedgehog one, with various sound (mostly notification sounds, although if you want any music from it, I can manage that).
They are all high quality. Basically just loaded Sonic 2 in Kega Fusion Emulator and made a WAV log while I scrolled through the sounds. All sounds are now 192kbps MP3.
Please share yours if you have any

Midi Ringtone Problem in AKU 3.3

Ok, I was wondering if anyone else was having a problem using midi ring/event sounds in the recently released AKU 3.3 with Crossbow enhancements ROM. Most of my midi ringtones don't play at all and those that do are horribly distorted. I don't think it's a hardware problem since Windows Media Player and CorePlayer (the commercial version not the included one since it doesn't play midi's at all). Almost all of my personalized per contact ringer id's are midi's so this is a major problem for me.
Other than this problem I'm really loving this ROM, kudos to Faria and everyone else who worked on this ROM ^_^
I too have that problem.
I'm using that WWE release WM6 ROM, and my .mid ringtones won't play.
Usually I'm using .mp3 tunes, but now I got my service providers sound theme, and I want to use it, bot no chance in hell...
What to do? :-S
i have no idea who on earth would use MIDI ringtones over MP3
Thats like going back to wooden spoons
You poor people

Truthfully I use .m4a (Nero Digital AAC) @ .15 quality for my 'real' song ringtones but there are some songs with somewhat explicit lyrics that I'd rather use midi's for. I'll probably be doing a bit of music editing when I wake up later today to make some more ringtones if I don't find a fix for this...
I had the same problem with midi ringtones, and did some search, then found this.

On that page, you search for "patch", download it and install on your device.
Although we use differen ROM, it should work for you too.
Good luck

ringtone pack...

I'm looking for a zip file that has a collection of android ready ringtones/notification tones. no songs, just similiar to what comes on the phone, only a different collection. any help???
THIS is from cyanogen's 4.0.4 thread, he calls it audio resources.
I recommend an app called Mabilo on the market. It has a bunch of good ringtones in it. If you don't want songs stick to the sound effects and funny categories.

[Q] Hide custom notification sounds from music player?

Right, first of all I know about the .nomedia trick; moving on.
Recently got the Galaxy S, I like it a lot after coming from the omnia and windows mobile, haven't really been having any lag problems (although i voodoo'd myself up anyway) but one thing is bothering me.
I like having a custom sound for my SMS notification as the stock ones included are all a bit effeminate for my tastes, so I went out and I downloaded the power up sound from Super Mario Bros 3 and it makes a fine SMS notification sound.
However, it appears in the music player too and it is rather jarring to jump from some sweet heavy metal to the sound of mario getting a mushroom. I gave the .nomedia thing a try and then my sms notifications went silent and I realised it was being hidden from the notification ringtones list too.
So does anyone know if there is any way to hide an item from the music player but still have it selectable as a notifications ringtone?
Cheers
Try to use a different music player instead, winamp is already on andriod altho it beta but its works great!

Ringtones

What app are y'all using for ringtones? I've tried Ringdroid on two different Captivates with varying ROMs and every single time I use it to make a song into a ringtone it skips and is choppy.
There's lots of apps in the market to download them for free. I like Zedge and Ringtones (It's the one in the market with the fire bar equilizer icon).
I use Zedge, I think its the best in my opinion

[Q] System sounds overrides (i.e. kills) other media sounds

(Sorry if this already has been posted somewhere else)
When I listen to music, an audio book or some other media, that media is muted while a notification sound (e-mail, etc) sounds. This is - of course - very annoying since the movie, audio book is interrupted (but not stopped).
On my HTC Desire the music kept playing also when a notification sound was playing.
Is there some way to make the notification sounds play at the same time as other audio streams?
Hi there,
I use PowerAMP, and this issue didn't appeared to me yet.
When I receive a message or something, I just hear the ringtone softly through my music.

Seems like the sound issue is based on how each app uses the notification sounds.
Some apps does use the same "audio-channel" as my music player, and that interrupts/pauses the music. Other apps uses some other audio-channel and notifications though those apps executes their softly through my music.
It doesn't mather what ROM etc you are using.
I just have to live with this.
