Question for Vodafone users..

Hi!
I am trying to download my Hotmail mail to my Kaiser with a Vodafone contract account!
The email comes in but no attachment ! No small envelope with the paper clip shows. I can download attachments with Vodafone.net email.
I wondered if Vodafone were blocking the downloading of attachments but the Vodafone representative told me that you cannot download attachments from Hotmail account that is a free account.
He then said that I need to register and pay for a Hotmail service that allows this.
Are any Vodafone users experiencing this problem ?

Hmm that's odd. I use windows Live to get my hotmail email on the v1615 but haven't received any attachments since i put it on my phone so i dont know. I'll try sending one to myself now and i'll let you know how it goes.
Edit: Ok so i sent two messages with attachments to my hotmail account and i accesed one using a wifi connection and it worked fine. The other one i tried with a data connection and that too was ok. So bottom line is: It works. Maybe your settings are set wrong. Maybe you have it set to not download attachments. It has nothing to do with the hotmail account itself as that guy told you.

So please can you tell me what your settings are ? I would like, very much to know where the settings are for downloading Hotmail attachments !
Could you check your phone for me!

I checked my settings and i can't see anything in the hotmail settings involving attachments. Are you using Windows Live to see you hotmail messages or something else?

I coould not find anything either, but I can see information about attachments in my Vodafone email account.

Sorry i couldnt be of more help. I really dont know what's the problem with your phone... Can you download attachments from other email accounts?

Yes, I can download with Vodafone !
STrange, can't get the Microsoft Excghange Server to synchronise directly either...

got the Microsoft Exchange Server working now....
Outlook 2007 PC address on the PC was different !
Attachments in Hotmail still do not work, but don't care...! The email throught M.E.S. gives what I need !

hey ozzeh i tried your rom and it will not boot up for me. it just stays at the htc screen i waited ten minuets and nothing at all any ideas ?
with capten jarger rom it freezes on me and the facebook sync is broke

Yea I did ,sorry mods can delete that post it said post bugs and issues. I thought it might be a issue or bug ,sorry about that

Actually, if you reread the OP, it instructs you to follow the provided link, register, and post your issue or bug there.

I registered an account, but didn't receive an register email and I am unable to login. I performed a password reset, and that sent me an email that I had an account, but I still cannot login with the new password. Is there something going on?

Josh probably screwed up exim, I'll manually authorize all pending accounts.

I have the same problem. Can you check for an account 'loryndm'. I love your ROM and would like to assist in testing.

Email authentication has been changed to automatic, hopefully this will cut down any more issues

I have noticed in the Recovery menu's that some glitches are present not allowing the ability to go back...
The ++++++BACK++++++ doesn't show up sometimes.
I have fiddled with it and of course get it to work by clicking the power button a few times or even holding it in...

Unrevoked 3 Rooting Issues with my Droid Incredible.
I know it says to not post problems here but I am in desperate need of a solution...please help.
The company I work for uses Microsoft Exchange Server for our Email Service and before I rooted my Droid Incredible I was able to use the Exchange Activesync service on my phone to sync with my work's email without a problem.
Now that I rooted my phone I receive an error telling me I am unable to connect to the exchange server. I have already attempted to use "K-9 Email Client" and "Lockpicker" to see if I could connect. No luck... I believe the issue is with a missing certificate but I am not sure. I have already contacted my IT Department at my work which ended up being useless cause they are unaware of how to locate the certificate for our email service.
Anyways if anyone could shed some light on this please do...Thank you!
Also Facebook does not sync contacts, the live feed works fine.
I don't really mind this cause I'm using "FB Sync" to get my friends pictures but I do miss having all of Facebook contacts shown in my Contacts List.

off topic help - live messenger for pc

for about two months now i cant sign in to live messenger i get the error 81000306
there is an article from microsoft about getting past this issue but its doesnt work for me
ive wiped and reinstalled my pc twice and i still cant sign in
any ideas

clear hosts file
and check if ie in offline mode

ok nothing in hosts file and ie is working fine
and now apparently my updates are not downloading

Can you sign in to your hotmail account to check your emails? If you can...have you try to sign in through your web messenger while you are in the hotmail page?
I had this problem before but installing the new live messenger solved the issues.

K9 and friendcaster HELP!

So I switched back over to friendcaster pro but I hate how the notifications are waaaaaaaaaaaay out of sync so I read up on the k9 mail and downloaded an installed the app to my phone followed the set up and I got two error msg one said unable to connect to server after I entered my yahoo info and password then I pressed next and I see my yahoo account is created but it says sync disabled

[Q] Lumia 928 and Mail Error 80004005

Hello guys,
I have a Lumia 928 which is experimenting issues after some days ago specifically with Yahoo email.
Error is 80004005, it does not sync and download the emails.
I have tried deleting the account , setting it again as yahoo, as "Other email", writing manually IMAP servers and ports, but the problem still continue, I even restarted the phone, but everything continue in the same way.
I have read some info related to this error, but apparently it come for several reasons, so weird. In reality and there is no one solution for this error in the phone, i have seen some solutions for this in the PC.
My Lumia already is running GDR3, and the email was working so good, except that 3 days ago or so, started with this issue. I have installed the GDR3 forcing the phone to do that, I had previously the Lumia Amber... then throught the "Phone for Developers" app, I updated to GDR3
Any ideas to solve this issue?

I give more sure there is problem with yahoo, or what ever you calling it. Wrong email settings you setup. I recomend you forward all incoming emails to live/hotmail/outlook.

Is the Yahoo account linked/synced through your Microsoft account? If not try adding the account to Outlook or Live or whatever the hell they are calling it now. I currently have email through my service provider that syncs flawlessly to my phone but it is also synced through my live account when I access Outlook through a web browser or the Windows 8 app on pc. It is configured as a separate pop 3 account on my 928 and am able to send and receive from that account no problem. Not sure if it makes a difference or not but can't hurt.

Problem solved
Problem was solved after to receive a Nokia update...now everything is working great!
