I have a Sony VAIO Laptop which has USB 3.0 ports, and when I try to flash it(HTC Pure), it stuck on 0%, and when I pull out the cable, and reset it is like normal with the old ROM again. Is it because of the USB 3.0 ? or is it something else. When I flash it on other computers that has USB 2.0 it works fine. I reinstalled the USB drivers, but they should work also with USB 2.0 - they are compatible. I don't know what else to do.
Please Help!!!

1 connect the ppc to pc with usb cable
2 put it in bootloader mode while connected
worked for me this way.
bootloader problem
i've the same problem , i've tried everything without success. In order:
- change usb cable
-change usb port on my laptop
- change personal computer, reinstalling active sync
- change settings in "settings-connections-usb to pc"
- hard reset
Syncro works well, my phone works well but i'm not able to upgrade the LASAGNA ROM 'cause when i enter in bootloader mode, it stay only in SERIAL MODE. There's a workaround to install the rom from the SD card instead of the USB cable?
Is a cable' problem.
Change the usb.
I had te same problem, after works 100%.
I've tried with another USB cable but it didn't work. with the other cable i'm able to do everything like the original HTC cable i'm actually use. Do you think i should buy another usb cable? What are the specifications of the htc cable?

I tryed with another cable, don't work. I definitely exclude a cable problem. I think there's something wrong with the miniusb connection in the device. I would try to upgrade the ROM directly from sd card but the procedure in wiki don't work.
got it fixed
your overloading the usb port most likely old computer/laptop or power issues, i have the xv6700 so i can use the cradle for power from a wall socket then plug the other cable into the usb port. works like a charm
p3600 - only serial connect in bootloader
it has to be your pc drivers if your pc/laptop is vista there is a site with driver swap for xp drivers for vista pc/laptops. had the same issue and voila mines sorted.laso check comm manager on your device as well jus to make sure as i write jus completed rom upgrade to wm6.1 from spv m700
I tried to connect different USB Hubs via different USB OTG cables yet no matter what they do not work (besides clearly getting power).
I am running Stock ROM 4.1.2. Can someone please give me a pointer, how to fix this?
Try Putting the custom rom with airdroid or somthing like that and flash it with a full wipe (data/cache/dalvik/system)
Never mind. It might have been the USB Hub itself. I found USB Device Info to be quite helpful.
Where would i find a HOW TO guide for installing drivers or making a On The Go cable work for my Lg Revolution device?

if he is talking about the standard otg cable, all it is, is an adaptor cable that allows you to plug in a flash drive to your phone or tablet. I have one for my tablet. And you DO need usb drivers for android. You're not hooking this up to your PC.
I got my new T-Mobile LG G6 today. I am unable to connect the same to my PC (Windows 8.1),
In the phone I am able to set the USB Debugging ON before connecting to PC. But once I connect the
phone to PC through the supplied USB cable the USB Debugging becomes greyed out and the PC is
unable to recognise the phone. I have change the USB ports and tried. Any help please ?

Try to either to use USB 2.0 type C cable or to update the Unified driver to 4.2.0 (add USB 3.1 support)
Install Windows 7 or 10. Install lg mobile driver. Plug in phone.
Did you install drivers?
Go to device manager and find your phone and uninstall it. Reboot. Plug in phone let driver install

Change cable.
Change port.
TWRP should support OTG, but YMMV, it's very device dependent.

As I said in PM, you absolutely need a working usb connection. If you already tried everything suggested in our PM chat and what said in the previous post, I don't have any other ideas. Check your computer drivers, phone drivers. Make sure to connect your phone directly to your computer (do not se external usb hub/ports, use the ones that are soldered to your computer MB. Avoid usb 3.0 ports, use 2.0. Try with someone else computer...
