Anyone can help me, how to change splash screen (before bootanimation) for x8??
Ask doixanh or racht, they did it for their ROMs.
No one has changed the splash screen yet. I saw someone saying that is very difficult to edit that.
But in GingerDX, if you have a custom bootanimation, the GingerDX logo still appears after the white "Sony Ericsson" logo, and it was the same in racht´s Floyo 0.20 (but there, the hackdroid logo appeared.)
So there must be a way to edit it at least partially, because no one has removed or edited the white "Sony Ericsson" yet.
But better ask a dev.
simply edit framework for this.... not so hard to change
I mean. splash screen after white black "sony ericsson" logo and before bootanimation (splash screen "mod version")
That´s what we are talking about, the thing beetween SE´s logo and the bootanimation.

Some quick splashes I made, you have to have ENG S-OFF to put it into your phone. Get phone into bootloader fastboot, and run commands: (googlesplash.img has to be in the same folder as fastboot.exe)
Code:
fastboot flash splash1 splashname.img
fastboot reboot

It would be great if we could make this a thread with different splash screens...
Then let's make one from this one? I could edit the title.

Is there any app to disable boot animation? Cause GingerDX dont seem to have this feature in settings... thanks..

It's as easy as pooping: In Root/ES file explorer, you go to system/media and delete the bootanimation.zip.
If you restart the phone after doing that, you'll just see the Android logo instead of an animation.
You could also rename any kind of file to bootanimation.zip and copy it to system/media, then you will see a blackscreen instead of an animation.
I know about that. But I dont want the Android logo or the black screen. I want faster bootup time, like some other roms...

If you don't want the generic Android boot animation you need to build your own ROM and patch the source of the Android loader to remove the embedded animation (or extract the binary in question from your ROM and hex-edit the animation out of it - much fun with that).
Faster loading is only achieved with either slimmer ROMs (i.e. Froyo) OR ODEX'ed ROMs (see puppet13th's "ODEX (on any ROM)" thread in the dev section.
Don't expect too much speed increase though.

It is on the framework-res.apk, asset/image. There will be two image file (must png) inside.
I duuno about delete it will cause ur phone not to boot anymore, but I have changed the image and work flawlessly.
Backup>extract and delete image, repack>overwrite>reboot.
You can also put static image, just delete logo shine and leave mask untouched =D

Well then we should just abandon XDA and let them close it down!
The reason forums exist is to leave answers for those that search..
What you call useless info, others find useful.
Stop spamming and be nice, really..
setting can't disable?

I agree with IAmNice. XDA says that you should search for your query first but its really not useful to waste time digging up old threads as technology keeps on upgrading and these days in 6 months its so swift that it doesn't takes time to reach sky high from the earth. I also love XDA forums and threads and they have saved me many times but only the new and updated ones.

http://yagyagaire.blogspot.ie/2012/01/create-android-boot-splash-image-for.html here, do some reading... like it's that hard to use google....
Here is the 720x1280 resolution version of the Google Edition boot animation found on the HTC One Google Edition.
Just drag to the HTC_bootup zip to system/customize/resource/ with root explorer or whatever file manager you normally use and overwrite it when asked and then reboot.
OR flash the Flashable_Boot.zip via recovery.
And to change splash screen refer to below post.

I also added a flashable version.
Hi Kendosis, thanks for your work! I flashed the Flashable_Boot.zip in recovery. The bootanimation works flawless.
But I still get the Facebook logo right after the screen turns on. Then after a few seconds the animation starts.
Is there any chance to remove the Facebook logo? PS: My first is S-ON.
can anyone help me out here?

Look back at the original post I added a file called Splash Changer, just extract to desktop and follow the instructions at the bottom of the post. You may need to S-OFF to change the splash screen I'm not sure since I've never tried it with S-ON.
