maybe you could try using PowerOptions That has the function to easily soft reset, shut down, turn off backlight and put the device into standby mode

IMHO, there's noway to do that...

Bricked Diamond :(

Hi all
I wanted to upgrade to Hard-Spl-OliNex . but when my phone went to black screen , Nothing happend . After it my phone screen is black .
I can't go to tricolor by pressing Vol down and Reset.
When I connect my phone to Charge , its tempreture increase but the LED not work.
When I press the power key , after about 30min its tempreture increase slowly , but nothing happend.
Please help me !
cant you do a hard reset? or try the unofficial rom with unofficial RUU, they may be able to force the flashing to your diamond.
i feel sorry for you
are you pressing volume down and centre button and the reset button?
Try hard resetting
Try the sequence various times it is tricky to get.
Hope all is fine
My Phone doesn't connect to pc .All the time , Its screen is black ,Even I wanna go to bootloader or Hard reset
If there's no output whatsoever on the screen (only leds blink) and you can't enter boot loader, then your SPL may be damaged.
You may want to PM Olipro to ask if he has a solution for this issue (e.g. flashing SPL for a CID-locked bricked Diamond).
Anyone has a Suggestion ?
try taking the battery out for 10 seconds.
it worked for me!
I take the battery , But not work

The LED indicator (on Diamond, next to the earpiece) does not light up when AC adpater is plugged in.
The "HTC" icon does light up on the AC Adapter.
The Diamond does charge when plugged in to the AC adapter, even though the LED does not light up.
Ideas?
LED??

The LED next to the ear piece isn't an LED, it's an ambient light sensor to adjust the backlight when set to 'Automatic'... thus, it doesn't light up EVER! The charge indicator (at least on my Diamond) is the white 'circling' of the enter button (centre d-pad).
LED of your ac charger is ON if you connect Charger to power .
But When you connect your phone to Charger , Led that around the enter butten should be lightening.
Does it happen ?

Reset your phone when you hold Volume down butten and hold it untill the tricolor screen appear .
Then you can install roms .
I have the same problem, any idea???
Had the same, what I did was very simple: simply pressed the reset button and it installed it self without problems. But I was close to the end, I suppose...

[Q] Red Trackball When Powering On

Tried powering on the phone but the only thing that happens is the trackball turns on and glows red.
*Found out that the phone does turn on but the screen is just blank.
**Update - Flashed a new rom and now the screen is visible but have a problem with the trackball led staying on while the phone screen is on. When I press the power button to lock the phone the led turns off.
Someone help please
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
kind regards
Most likely it's a HW problem in your trackball, doesn't have anything to do with ROMs you flash. This problem isn't very common, but it occurs, and you can find documentation on it in the forum.
Not a HW problem
Can't be a HW problem, make sure you do a full wipe and then try the new MeDroid 1.4.2...

Sprint HTC One won't turn on, flashing Home and Back buttons.

I was coming from Cyanogenmod nightlies, and was trying to flash stock, but the phone just randomly shut off and it won't turn back on. When I hold down the power button the only response I get is the home and back buttons will blink white for the duration of me pressing down the button. Thank you for any possible help.

Can you get into the boot loader?
Keep holding down power button. Button lights will blink for about 12 secs, then let go of power and hold down vol down until bootloader pops up.
via ONE.
CM10 won't load. home and back buttons lit constantly

Hi. This just happened to me as well, trying to flash CM 10.1.3 to get a GPS lock from a sense rom. Problem is, I can't get to the bootloader and the menu/back lights don't stop flashing. So there's no point where they stop flashing and I can then use the volume button to get to the bootloader. And they stay lit even when I am not pressing anything. I could use some help here.. hate to think I've bricked this very expensive slab of metal. Thanks.
Same problem.
Somebody please help.
EDIT:
Solved. Bright light trick.
Shine a bright light on it and press + hold power and vol down. Make sure the twin sensors aren't covered.
Thanks guletz - you just saved me a call (or a visit) to the Sprint store.
Phone in call...

This is also happening to most of the sprint 4.3 custom roms. Not sure if everyone is building on top of the same rom image or fimrware issues...let me know if anyone is getting the same issues after flashing any of the sprint custom roms.

[Q] Unable to Hard reboot

Hi,
I tried installing carbon rom to my rooted htc one. I am stuck at boot logo and unable to hard reboot also. Using vol+ and power button flashes the home and back button, but does nothing. So, I am unable to go to recovery also. Please help :crying:
try just holding down the power button.. It might take awhile but it sometimes happens to me, and doing that shuts it down.. Around 10 seconds or more

It's not strange, its a feature to prevent you from accidentally rebooting while your phone is in your pocket or a bag, for example if something ends up pressed against the power button.

[Q] Is a "Hard reset" the same as a power cycle?

My Z1 will not work properly with my Garmin GPS. I need the GPS to manage calls when on a motorcycle. I really don't want to re-build my phone unless completely necessary (and especially not if there is an inherent compatibiliy issue!). So, I was wondering whether the hard reset using the "hidden" button was the same as powering off and on. If it's a deeper process, I'll give it a go and see whether my issues are resolved.
Thanks
No, it justs turns the power off

Red button and power botton is not the same.
1. Red button doesn't properly shut down your phone (umount filesystems, wait for application finished correctly etc)
2. Red button make "deeper" shutdown. I find it when trying to fix problem with charging. No power button or power+vol combination helps, only red button do.
It seems like you cut off power cable on your computer, when red button pressed
