Hi
I have recently flashed Darky's ROM with no problem. It's damn fast but i can't download anything from market . When i try to do it it just apears to download for like 2 sec then it's gone...
I have tried the Market fix from SGS Tools that came with the ROM but still nothing.
Any help will be appreciated !!!
You can try to find the lastest market apk and install it after deleting your current market app from your phone. I read this somewhere before. Hope it helps

2 thinks you can do
First delete the Market update in the Phone and make a restart.
Second think you can do is, Make Backup from your current Rom (Nandroid Backup)
and install the Rom over Darkys App with a Wipe and put the Backup-Files back.
Don´t forget to deactivate the Lagfix.

I solved my market problem...
After some investigation, I found my problem: it was in the cache directory, corrupted after flashing with darky's 9.5...when someone tries to download an app from the market, android checks if there's enough space on the cache directory...if not the download starts for a little while then stops. In my case, cache directory was corrupted and its free space was about 400k instead of 32Mb. So I flashed only cache.rfs with heimdall and the problem went away
Hope this helps to fix this boring issue.

How do i do this?
Hi Folks,
I am not new to this forum and i successfully flashed and tested out several custom ROMs. And yes, I know, I am still a Noob
But I have a weird problem now...
It doesn't matter which ROM I flash, my device won't get wiped. Well yes, I messed up my Nandroid backups, but:
I tried several kernels, ROMs and bootloaders. Even with the ones from samfirmware.com.
I tried it via Recovery and via the Android settings. And I've got all these old folders and files which don't get deleted when you uninstall an app. I'd really like to have a clean phone.
I know, it's a luxury problem, but it is very annoying.
So, could anyone please point me to some direction?
Thanks in Advance!
Cheers, berkley

Exact!!!
Well wipe does not wipe everything. I think to do what you are asking you need to format the internal SD card right after or maybe before a flash. That won't do the system stuff (I believe) but just the user area. The apks should recreate what they need afterwards.
But I haven't done it for a long time so don't trust me 100%. But that should do it and if you are flashing after it should clean it all up even if something useful got lost.

Use sd card maid to find legacy folders and for general clean up, amazing app

All data will be wiped if you flash with Odin with PIT-file and 'Re-partition' ticked.
Sent from hell to take your soul
could also try using the format internal SD card from the phones menu.
Does that mean that even a full reset doesn't wipe everything?
Full reset as done via punching in *2767*3855# on the dialer.
Hi Guys,
thanks for your nice words and help. I really don't know what was wrong. And I really don't know, what has fixed it!!! But now everything is working again. Thanks a ton!!!

Hi, i have a problem with many apps, and really i don't know what else to do, this start out of nowhere, a few days ago the message "unfortunately, (app) has stopped.." it's making me crazy.
i've try to flash another rom, kernel, restore backups, wipe cache, dalvik, data, and nothing.
i've try cyanogenmod 9, gummy, slimICS, dark night, and icy glitch kernel, devil kernel, and many other.
for example, the titanium backup, shows me the message every 30 minutes, the CK: zombies, doesn't start anymore, youtube too, minecraft pocket edition, play store, and many apps.
please i need some help, before i pull my captivate away
THANKS!
Try opening Terminal Emulator, and type "df". Next to /datadata, see how much free space there is. If it is less than 15-20MB, you're going to want to move some apps to the sd card, or apply a datafix script.

i did it and show me 40 mb free space, 131 used, 172 total, blksize 4096.
Hmm... that should be enough free space, but you could still try the datafix script: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1665742
Make sure to do a nandroid first (if you have anything worth saving at this point...)

I've had this happen to me with tibu try restoring all the apps without data and then see if they FC if they don't then you know what's causing them to FC. I'm afraid your going to have to set up all your apps again. That's what I had to do.

You didn't need to wipe your cards... Basically the problem is your Tibu backups were probably done with improper settings, and the data cannot be restored. Restoring just the app should still work though. You are going to have to start over again.
This is only correct if the apps won't even open

do you have the low data notification? If you do, keep moving apps to sd until it goes away; then, reboot. I've had this problem a few times when i first flashed to ICS.

i have same problem with google maps.
after a fresh installation. it s runnning but when i restart i have that message "unfortunatly.. app stoped"
Same issue, with Gallery/Camera
ok, so i'm on Tsunami 2.0 running devil kernel, this issue started while i was on AOCP, whenever i open the camera app, it immediatly says Unfortunately, Gallery Has Stopped. so i tried reflashing the gapps, same issue, tried flashing the 4.2 gapps, same issue, so i wiped everything and switched to the AOKP Tsunami ROM that im on now, (gapps built in) and SAME FREAKIN ISSUE....any ideas guys? (im pretty experienced with android and flashing roms, i've got a buddy who is rediculously experienced with it, and neither of us can figure this out)
EDIT : Just tried the picasa synk option in Tsunami OTA menu, same issue. i cant post this on the thread for my ROM, cuz i haven posted enough.....HELP
What about go to the Settings/ Applications/ All/ Gallery...select Clear cache and then Force stop. Then back out to home screen and open camera ?? See if that fixes the problem.

that was one of the first things i tried, and have done it several times since, still no luck....then i was gonna try and download a different camera app, and im getting server error on the play store....WTF. gonna try and reflash my gapps now, see if it improves anything.
EDIT: play store is working, downloaded Camera MX, it loads, but only shows black when trying to take a photo....i know that the camera physically works, i've been able to snap pictures and videos in the past.....
?? Idk what the deal is...but if all else fails, i suggest flashing back to Stock KK4 Full wipe ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18370912 ) then flashin KK4 Corn Kernel version 7.0A ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=18233847 ), then flash ur Rom of choice.

Hey everyone...
ive already tried to get some quick help already but i really need my phone tonight LOL.
iam running cm9 rom with the latest cm9 stable kernal, now i wanted to flash the hydrocore kernal to see if battery would improve, but it seemed fine but then choppy afew hours later so i changed back to cm9 kernal. Anyway after it rebooted it stayed on the paranoid android bootscreen! where you see the picture loading. i then tried to wipe the cache and dalvik and its still stuck. someone mentioned to do a wipe but i was unsure if he meant to a full wipe? as ive not wiped the factory reset, just the two caches! ive also flashed both kernals back and forth and im still stuck.
Its a simple issue iam sure but could someone help me, im unsure if i should do a full wipe including factory reset or just flash the cm9 rom again. if so can i have instructions step by step...
thank you.
islandmixed, you are on a safe kernel so there is no harm in performing a wipe data/factory reset.

wipe data is totally wiping what's in your phone.. including what's inside the system/apps, build props and framework...
you may need to flash back your g.apps if you want to get all of them and selectively selecting which to install back(rather than just restoring it from TB)
TB does not restore all what you have made a backup to.

Hi, all.
While installing again my common apps on my just upgraded to official JB Note don't let me install an app because (it says) not enough space!!
I'm plenty of space!. WTF??
Any one else with this problem? I can swear I have enough space, for this app and for many others!
Sorry for the rant.

check on " LOST.DIR" n clean it!

Is your phone rooted? Open titanium backup and check how much space is there in system Rom. Then sort app by size and uninstall some that you don't use. Then try to install app again.

Wipe cache done.
Wipe dalvik cache says: "E: unknown volume for path [sd-ext]. rm can't remove '/cache/dalvik-cache': no such file or directory. rm can't remove 'sd-ext/dalvik-cache': no such file or directory. Dalvik cache wiped."

I went from a clean install. Doing all people tells to avoid such a kind of troubles.
I've done all wipes, all clear data, all clear dalvik. I really don't know what else do from here so I went here searching for some help. You can't help, that's ok. Maybe other could.
But, hey... thanks for nothing, dude.
Are you using Lucky Patcher? If yes the solution is simple.
Open Lucky Patcher
Select Troubleshooting from options.
Select remove fixes and backups (insufficient storage available)
Reboot (optional)
All should be okay.
Hi.
I first want to give you thanks for your support.
Finally problem was gone. I can't tell you how. I can't say what of the "n" wipes I had done has fixed my troubles.
My problem was /data partition was almost full. Why? I don't know. Before flash I have done all possible wipes: data + cache, cache, dalvik-cache, wipe for install a new ROM on philz's kernel recovery. Even I formated sd card from pc...
That's why I was confused. Once flashed /data partition was almost fully populated with a bunch of weird folders, even just flashed and with no apps installed yet.
Like I said, now problem has gone. Why it cames and why it goes? Just don't know. But, hey, I'm just a noob.
Thanks for your suggestions and your support. Great community.
Regards.
