booting to cwm...made a mistake and need help. - LG Revolution

Could I get some help please? I got sick and tired of the battery issue I was having I was going to go back to stock and try and reload everything...well, I used the installed stock factory reset, it rebooted into cwm. so I installed the cubed nandroid stock rom....well, now it reboots into cwm every boot...tried reinstalling a couple times now and still no avail....
Could anyone help me getting a boot loaded? thanks.
Edit.....CRAP! Fixed! I came across the cubed zip file that fixed it....I guess I didn't look before I leaped!

[Q] Bricked! help please

Hi,
I followed the steps to root my phone using Soup or Root 2.06, which appeared to work. I got titanium backup and backed up some apps. I got clockwork mod and flashed it. I made a nandroid backup of stock. I got CM7 from
download. cyanogenmod. com/?type=stable&device=sholes
I put it on the SD card, booted into recovery and installed it. It said it worked from the clockwork screen and I rebooted. I flashed the cyanogen mod start screen for almost 3 hours and I pulled the battery. I had to reboot into recovery. I restored my backup. I went back into recovery and installed the same CM7 file, and again it said it was installed successfully. I rebooted and it flashed the start screen for another 30 minutes and I pulled the battery again, in preparation for getting a new version of CM, since mine did not appear to be working. At this point, I am unable to boot the device either normally or into recovery.
Is it unrecoverable?
Thanks!
Ha, just got it too boot. Recovered to my nandroid image.
Now I just need to find a ROM that works.
EDIT: Ok, I also tried Bugless Beast and had the same problem! After an hour, it still hadn't finished booting.
Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe I'm doing something wrong?
Did you clean/wipe your data before and after?

[Q] Clockwork Mod Recovery Issue when backing up sd-ext

So I've never had problems backing up my Nexus one in the past using clockwork mod, but the past day, I've been trying to back it up so that I can try out Rodriguezstyle's new MIUI mod, but the backup keeps getting stuck on "Backing up sd-ext"
In particular, it says its getting stuck on "apparently this looks like a link?"
look down vertically for the thing I'm getting stuck on.
However, when I've pulled out my battery and reset into the recovery, I've found that the backup I was trying to make has actually been logged. I've been too scared to actually try to restore that backup to see if it's worked, because honestly I don't have any other recent backup and I don't want to mess anything up.
Any help would be appreciated! I might try to flash another recovery and backup that way...
I'm running RodriguezStyle's 2.9.2 MIUI ROM along with wildmonk's kernel and the most recent version of ClockworkMod Recovery if anybody's asking.
apparently I can't write out the exact file that it's stuck on...it thinks that it is a link...
ok here goes: "[email protected]@[email protected]"
Have you tried to fix permissions?
Yup I've tried that multiple times, rebooted, and it still didn't work.
You using cwm 3.0? It's known to cause problems like that. Happened to me before that's why I switch to amon ra

Did you find any solution? I have the same issue after trying to restore from CWMrecovery. I have changed to Amon_RA so I will never come back to CWMr...
But I would like to recover to backup...
Clockwork recovery versions 3.x and higher have been known to mess up ext partitions. You may need to reformat your card and switch to an earlier version of Clockwork (or maybe try Amon Ra).

[Q] HELP - Softbrick Galaxy Tab 8.9 Telstra p7320

Hi guys, having some serious issues with my Tab. It's the Telstra GT-P7320T.
So I had it rooted and flashed with the glitkis kernel all working fine still on the standard Telstra version of honeycomb. Then when their update for ICS finally came out (after nearly 6 months of knocking it back) I went to update it in the normal manner, not thinking it would have a hissy fit with the root and the custom kernel.
So after it downloaded it did its pre install bit, it rebooted, but then loaded into CWM recovery, and thats where its stayed. I've tried factory resets, clearing and formatting all the caches (davlik, system etc) i've used adb to push a few different roms and kernels etc to the device but nothing ive tried has worked. I flashed arlics ics rom, but it still just boots into recovery. Ive tried flashing the stock kernel and stock recovery but when i try to install zip from sd them they fail "install aborted (bad)"
Anyone got any ideas on what process and files I should try? Ive searched up and down the forum trying different methods for fixing soft brick and returning to stock but to no avail.
Cheers

hey mate,
i was just caught out by this last night. all you need to do is re-flash on a stock rom with ether oden of heimdall and youre good to go. im sure there is a oden flashable rom on these forums
take it sleazy!
Cheers mate,
Ive been trying to reflash a stock rom by pushing it to the sd card and installing it, but when i go to install it from recovery it tells me the rom file is bad and aborts, like its corrupt or something, so maybe i need to find some different downloads to try. Thanks, there's hope still at least, lol. I'll find the odin file and try doing it that way.

yeah, i think its becaute the cwm recovery doesnt know what to do with the update.
you need to have the stock recovery installed. dont take my word for it though.
just look up a tutorial for flashing a rom via oden. its really easy, just make sure the image you are flashing is of .tar.md5 extension.
You can get the stock rom at sammobile.com. down load the zip file then extract the .tar.md5 file out of it using 7-zip.
God promised men that he'd put beautiful women in all corners of the world. Then he laughed and laughed and made the world round
FIXED!! - Cheers Everyone!
OK, so I downloaded the stock telstra rom off the forum here, its at the top of page 3 at present, flashed that with Oden, which fixed the soft brick and allowed me to boot again. I then flashed the stock recovery, rebooted, got into the system and downloaded the ICS update again. Once it rebooted, with the stock recovery it was able to install and successfully boot into ICS!! I was more stoked than I've ever been before, let me tell you, lol.
how ?

[Q] Resurrecting my Captivate, ONLY boots to CWM

I'm trying to resurrect my I897 Captivate. I put it in the drawer a couple of years ago with Glitch kernel and AOKP ICS on it. My wife destroyed her Skyrocket (S2) and she needs a phone to use as a stand-in for a couple of months.
I wiped it, no nandroid backup since I had no plans to use any of the data on it, and began trying to install Cyanogenmod. I was planning to use the recent M5 snapshot of CM11 but am ok with going to 10.2.1 stable if 11M5 doesn't work.
However, I just can't get it to boot. It will go into recovery mode fine (in fact, it boots to recovery even when no buttons are pressed).
I went back, wiped everything, formatted all partitions, and started with CM7, then CM9, then CM10.2.1 to get the partition scheme updated and just to be sure it wasn't CM11M5. However none of those change the issue. It just refuses to boot anything but recovery.
I've repeatedly done wipes and factory resets, including going back and formatting the partitions. I've tried the "install CM twice" trick. The phone just does not want to boot the images.
The install processes seem to go fine. No errors reported during .zip install.
I went through many different pages that are meant to break a recovery loop, most of which just have you do the basic reset and reboot, but so far have found no way to break the cycle.
Any ideas?

my advice is, go to stock GB, then flash ICS, flash a KitKat kernel, reboot recovery and then flash CM 11..
hope this works for you!
Yeah that was my next plan, already have the stock ROM downloaded. Will report back. Was just hoping there was a known issue that I could fix without reverting. Not a big deal Thanks.

Hello jahfry! Glad to hear you got the stock ROM. Would you mind telling me where you got it from? All the links I've found here are dead… I am in a similar situation as you - managed to get a custom rom going but have lost all trace of EFS folder/ nv_data.bin file…. Need to go back to stock to start again… Any help appreciated!

[Q] Please help. Note 3 recovery.

I tried to install the AllianceROM_KK_v1, didn't know the ROM was a little more than 1.2GB, but my computer probably somehow shut the download to less than 700MB thinking it was downloaded completely. But when on safestrap, I didnt make any backup and just tried to flash it after factory resetting it. Obviously, it didn't sucessfully flashed it and now boot loop. Can installed the safestrap apk right from the recovery thing, I can't seem to get on the safestrap recovery. Can someone please help me soon as possible.

You're going to have to do the MLG restore. See the link in my signature for info on how to do it and links to where you can get the stuff you'll need.
If you don't want to attempt the MLG restore, you'll have to go the the Samsung Experience Center at your local Best Buy and have them reflash it for you.
thankz man. I am working on it now. It's already 2:39 AM here now. real late. any way, thank you bro for the awesome prompt answer.
