i posted that in the thread to be safe, its mainly only been tested on ext4, i have the following mounts /system /data /cache mounted like this:
mount -o remount,noatime,nobh,noauto_da_alloc,barrier=0
because i havent tested it on the other FS i didnt want anyone blaming me for anything ya know
so it doesnt mean it wont work
nice tweak

Just one question......
Will it work on MIUI .... ? ?
I dont see why it wouldnt, I couldnt test that because sgs4g doesnt have a miui ROM yet

cm7 #83 w/ bali 2.0 & buildprop tweaks. I just tried this with no change in quadrant, both before and after in the 1600's. fps stayed the same as well.
Flashed on SH 5.1 went from a Quadrant of 2600+ to over 2900.. Weather or not it makes it more smooth or not has yet to be determined.
(looser) how do you wipe the your init.d folder?
THANKS!!!! dsexton702 (btw i couldn't find the thanks button)
just flashed it. and i got some incredible results.
My Vibrant was so hot all the Iphone saw was skid marks on the track ..:::..
i know scores dont matter, but if your not getting between 2300 to 2700 something went wrong
is it safe to flash this on MIUI revamped ?

it has not been confirmed to work for cm7/miui since we dont use full ext4 partitioning if u want to try this i suggest using a different gb rom
Do you just hold down the init.d and delete it? Or open it up and delete all the files?
Simply Honey 5.1 w/ 1.2 Bullet kernel. Badass Rom \m/

ok so i flashed this on top of MIUI revamped and it DID NOT improve performance one bit. i actually got a lower quadrant score. 1895 to be exact.

I thought JIT would only work on Froyo? Would this work on any rom?
Edit: also will this work with the different lag fixes that are out there?
Thanks

Not any more! This is compiled for 2.1
You got a linpack score you could provide us with?
We could use a tested undo as well. JIT for 2.1 on the G1 caused all kinds of problems.

no if i remeber jit was in 2.1 but wasnt complete so it was never used but in froyo it was complete but needed to be activated. when i was in the 32b section i used jit on all the 2.1 sense roms and it made my phone fly and that was a far more inferior phone than the vibrant so i cant wait to see what this does to our phones!!!
will keep an eye on this one!! pls report if working or not..
Care to source a thank you to creators of JIT so noobs like me can research what exactly this is ;p

JIT was announced in alpha quality for 2.0, so I suspect the 2.1 ver is workable. Not necessarily 100% stable (or they'd have released it standard instead of waiting until 2.2) but workable..
I'll prolly give this a shot tomorrow, can't be too bad
Ok thanks for clearing that up guys. Shows how much of a newb I am to Android. This is my 2nd Android phone and my 1st one was a Behold 2...
I am making a backup now and will flash this and report back.
I'm creating a nandroid and installing this now. I'll post up quadrant and linpack scores. I'm currently runnining RyanZA's lag fix, so I'm getting quadrant scores around 2050 right now.

Not a huge difference according to linpack but things seem to definitely run faster.

i dont think linpack can justify anything cause i could get 7.2 constantly on my mt3g running a sense rom with jit and it was ok but no where near as fast as this phone...

looks like it only replaces 3 or 4 files:
build.prop
/system/bin/dalvikvm
/system/lib/libdvm.so
/system/lib/libnativehelper.so
so if you want to flash before there's a .zip file revert, just back those up using adb pull or cp/mv before you flash, or just pull them out of a stock rom zip file from the forums
going to flash now..
cheers =)

Oh, I'm with you, if people are smart enough to know about JIT and want to flash it, they should be smart enough to backup their phone first. I'm so tired of everyone complaining about not knowing how to use adb, or terminal, and yet wanting to hack their phones. This is the development forum and not helpdesk, right?
nandroid backup almost done, flashing as soon as it finishes, thanks again!
cheers

This is simply a Flashable ZIP I made out of eugene373's Eugene_2E_JK2_Froyo.tar.md5 for those of you that don't feel safe using / can't use Odin.
It flashes his kernel, modem, and the stock JK2 system.
The only change I made was adding the Stock Android Keyboard and upgrade Superuser.apk !
Rom Manager works... OCLF should work...
Working GPS.
Wi-Fi Calling.
This is a Vibrant kernel and a Vibrant ROM. It was built FOR the Vibrant.
~ 2E Recovery
~ Busybox installed
~ Market Paid App Fix
~ Hoping SD Mounting Issue's are Fixed as well.
~ Few CSC Fixes
~ Browser Default Home Page is Now Google.com ( not web2go )
~ GPS Fix ( Like the Old First GPS Fix I Posted ) My New Vibrant is Like the Old one, never Locked... Wont effect those that do Lock!
~ USB Debugging Turned on by Default
~ Recovery Does not Hang after Odin now

Download Odexed: Stock Vibrant JK2 Froyo Flashable Zip (dbus.conf fix included)

Install Astro File Manager. Then open it, hit Menu, hit Preferences, and Enable Browser Downloads.
After running Logcat I noticed that this was missing a file. /system/etc/dbus.conf
I don't know what it does, but Logcat complained about it often. I think this may cause 'battery life' to not be as well, but it didn't seem to have any issues. I am uploading another new one right now that has this file. It didn't get pulled when I pulled the system so I copied over the one from Obsidian and the Logcat stopped complaining about it.
I attached dbus.zip for those of you that don't want to redownload the ROM and want to 'fix' this. Just unzip it and put dbus.conf in /system/etc via adb push or root explorer.
If you aren't sure if you need it, check your /system/etc folder in root explorer and see if dbus.conf is there. If it isn't, add it. I didn't notice any issues other than logcat complaining with this file's absence.
is it deodexed?

i'm come from the milestone (droid 1), and i know the v6 supercharger by zeppelinrox who made my old phone very fast....and i do it on my new droid 3.....and whaooooo, really more faster, no lag, a real big multitask and 210mb free
Why the dev do not includ this in their rom ?

★ [MOD] ◢ PurePerformances™X ◣ | Zeno Edition | Scary performances on Android
I installed it on latest CarbonROM and iodaks kernel and it works with no problem. However I can't just tell if it gives more smoothnes or battery life. More people will test it on our LG then we will know truly if it gives something. And if someone would
test in on werewolf it would be great It gave me problems with all cores online but on iodak it is great.
FLASH AND REPORT !
BTW: Don't be scared, it is laggy 3 minutes after boot (zipalignibg apps or some other things) but then it is smooth

EDIT: Now I feel quite dumb I installed mod for SGS II on our LG, but... it works, who could want possibl something else
EDIT: And so far battery is fantastic
EDIT: Some guys in OP say that it isn't SGS II specific MOD but rather an android as whole system tweaking engine
