i'm come from the milestone (droid 1), and i know the v6 supercharger by zeppelinrox who made my old phone very fast....and i do it on my new droid 3.....and whaooooo, really more faster, no lag, a real big multitask and 210mb free
Why the dev do not includ this in their rom ?
some links for to do the method:

the image method (that's very easy with this)

Not any more! This is compiled for 2.1
You got a linpack score you could provide us with?
We could use a tested undo as well. JIT for 2.1 on the G1 caused all kinds of problems.

no if i remeber jit was in 2.1 but wasnt complete so it was never used but in froyo it was complete but needed to be activated. when i was in the 32b section i used jit on all the 2.1 sense roms and it made my phone fly and that was a far more inferior phone than the vibrant so i cant wait to see what this does to our phones!!!
will keep an eye on this one!! pls report if working or not..

JIT was announced in alpha quality for 2.0, so I suspect the 2.1 ver is workable. Not necessarily 100% stable (or they'd have released it standard instead of waiting until 2.2) but workable..
I'll prolly give this a shot tomorrow, can't be too bad
Ok thanks for clearing that up guys. Shows how much of a newb I am to Android. This is my 2nd Android phone and my 1st one was a Behold 2...
I am making a backup now and will flash this and report back.
I'm creating a nandroid and installing this now. I'll post up quadrant and linpack scores. I'm currently runnining RyanZA's lag fix, so I'm getting quadrant scores around 2050 right now.

looks like it only replaces 3 or 4 files:
build.prop
/system/bin/dalvikvm
/system/lib/libdvm.so
/system/lib/libnativehelper.so
so if you want to flash before there's a .zip file revert, just back those up using adb pull or cp/mv before you flash, or just pull them out of a stock rom zip file from the forums
going to flash now..
cheers =)

Oh, I'm with you, if people are smart enough to know about JIT and want to flash it, they should be smart enough to backup their phone first. I'm so tired of everyone complaining about not knowing how to use adb, or terminal, and yet wanting to hack their phones. This is the development forum and not helpdesk, right?

Hi all. I'm wanting to do a custom rom/kernel on my girlfried's G1. What I want is something that she won't have to worry about with regards to stability. He also complains that her G1 is too slow. Sadly she's gotta wait until late summer to get a new phone. Overclocking options within the kernel would be nice, as I presume this would help with the speed of the phone.
So, what's the best that's out now? I did a bit of searching around but didn't find anything definitive. I flashed CM6 on there once before and it was a pain, so i'd rather be able to pick a rom and stick with it ;-).
Thanks in advance.

Id recommend CM4.2.15 but its no longer supported..but still gets the job done. Install defanged then 4:2:15 and don't foroget the ram hack. Sure..its only Donut but you said something about battery being important.
Will CM4 work with a 2708+ radio? My wife's G1 is running CM6 but it is just too sluggish for comfort.

So, if I've already flashed CM4 and got it set up and running how would I go about flashing Super D if I decide to? I should of course do the necessary data/cache wipes but as far as flashing the rom, do I wipe, flash the defangled base, and then flash the Super D rom? If so I may do it as CM4 doesn't seem to be as quick as I had hoped... then again it's difficult to judge going from my Epic to my girlfriend's G1. I'll hve to ask her what she thinks.
Also, what kernel did you run with Super D? I'm still on the stock kernel with CM4 and if I flash another kernel, should I just wipe cache and install the kernel over whatever is on there now? I want to make sure it's essentially the same as flashing on my Epic befre I mess something up and have to do the entire process over again.
Thanks for all the help once again.

Flashed on SH 5.1 went from a Quadrant of 2600+ to over 2900.. Weather or not it makes it more smooth or not has yet to be determined.

how's you're revo running after supercharged?
not sure if you have the same issues i had before and after root/gingervolt
issues i had is when the soft key don't turn on unless i have the revo set to auto brightness
and sometime the screen freeze when i mutitask and go back to home screen this mainly happened on stock vz7 or rooted but once i flash GingerVolt it happen much less but still freeze once in awhile
after i supercharge it those 2 issues is gone, my soft key lights up each time i unlock and it don't freeze on me anymore
i even notice it switch very quickly whenever i go back to home screen or even whenever i switch to different apps/games

Seems to be a lot smoother and snappier. I had the soft key issue once right after initial reboot with the script otherwise no problems since.
Does seem to be much smoother though. Was eyeing that supercharger thread for awhile, glad I finally tried it.
I'm just running balanced now

I can't seem to find the help file that will tell me what the each of the options are. Anyone have an idea?
Seems like it makes my battery run at a higher temp

Forgive the vague question, but what exactly does this script change? That is, how is my phone being "super charged"?
Thank ya

Hey. Ive been using Slim ics ROM for 2-3 weeks now, im loving the speed, looks, and all.. but i have one question: My free RAM is usually around 120MB but if my phone is on for 3-5 days straight it starts to lag a bit while free RAM drops to around 70MB, a restart clears everything and its snappy again with free RAM at 120-170MB, so my question is, is there an app or script that will basically do the same thing than rebooting without actually rebooting?

Okay, i have been reading about that script for a week or so now, but have been afraid to install.. because of these questions: now that i have some scripts installed via semaphore manager , should i remove all the files from init.d before i attempt to install Supercharger v6? Or can i just install without worrying?
Another thing is, ive understand that i can choose the scripts i want to enable when installun Supercharger , right? So which ones do you recommend to enable?
Thx alot.
