I have installed XXJW4 via odin and semaphore kernel 2.7.4 and GO Launcher and everything seems fine.
I came from ICS and although I like ICS I missed the radio and sometimes the camera would force close and a few other little annoying bugs. So back to Gingerbread I come and I want to know how to I get it to show the options of booting into recovery.
When I hold the power button, I don't get those options again, can someone tell me what I need to do in order to get those options back?
Also second question how can I change the boot screen (The Samsung one is boring) and remove those boot noises.

Sow when you mean go to themes, do you mean the themes section of the GO Launcher?
Another question, does anyone also know how to get the CRT animation loaded?
go to the xda themes section, there are two main themes from different devs you can apply from CWM, most/all have crt off. you could then further customise your icons to your own taste using the uot kitchen.

Hi everybody. So recently I have been having an issue with my lockscreen. I was playing around with some ICS roms in order to see what I liked and I had tested out SlimICS and Dark Knight. I had originally been running NIGHTLY builds and had reverted to them again after my searching. However now my lockscreen keeps changing into a different lockscreen. I had it on the default one and then it would go into a different lockscreen that would tell me to slide down to unlock with a new wallpaper and everything. I have tried to reflash the rom as well as wiping the data on my phone but still no luck in stopping this. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hello.
I just flashed the CiCi ROM on my phone, this is prety good, smoth and everything.
But, the thing I realy liked about the ROM before flashing it, was the screenshots I have seen about the notifications panel. There were 3 panes: information, notifications, switch.
Then I flashed it, and I just got 2 panes, notifications and switch. Does anyone know what can I do to enable the 3 panel, and if its possible to do it.

Actually, no!
I didnt think it has anything to do with the flash.
Or it was modified on the ROM, and does not have this other panel anymore, or it needs to be enabled or installed.
I just dont know if its possible and how to get this other panel.

3 notication panels appears in MokeeOS v0.3 beta and CiCi ROM v2.0.
And since CiCi ROM v3.0 above, it has only 2 panels. You can choose CiCi v2.0 Final if you like it.

It is possible that the ROM provides customization options within the system and not at the time of the install mode similar CM10 that are based on?
For example: clock in the center or on the side, various styles of lockscreen, clock + date style, style icons and battery etc..
Another thing would be, you can deploy LED notifications?

Customization options within system requires a lot xml file modifications. This will take some time. For notification, have you tried LG Touch LED Notification app? Its free on play store.
I've got a question about choosing apps, can i add my apps before install/flash rom? i mean, can i add my luncher, keyboard, im using holo luncher and swift key (both are bought) and it will be nice to have only them without others lunchers/keyboard.

I just installed this rom since about a week, had some battery drain problems. I switched to the interactive governor and this got a bit better. One big drain is wifi, for this i installed an app which disconnects wifi when screen goes off and on again when i wake my phone. Another problem is that the phone is constantly awake and never goes into deep sleep. Any solution for that?
hi ppl, here is my review, i change to hellmanor kernel. first impression that its running good, i need a lot of battery and when i set to lionheart and cfq. i manage to have a working phone over 24 hrs with low usage, around 8 short calls, about 2 hrs of wifi, no data 2/3g at all, and around 1 hr of gaming. and few minutes ago i put to recharge, battery left b4 charge - 44%
the funny thing is that i notice that my phone start to ring very late while incoming calls, i use vibrate with sound, while a call is incoming, the phone vibrate around 5 sec b4 the sound kicks in, this wasn't happening with stock kernel.
do u think that it might be the governor i chose or maybe I/O ? maybe the low cpu speed when phone in deep sleep?

first thanks for you work.Greate job I have several questions. Is it possible turn off the locksreen rotation? I hate it If i get the sms or miss call, the notification bar show me. But if i turn off this in notification, sms still like unread. I want accept it from notification, not go to the sms or dialer and tap to miss call or sms. Last is GPS. After lock the satelites, gps work normal. But if i want use it for running, walking and others, gps is not realy correct. Sport tracker show me bad way, distance and speed. I guess gps use only few satellites. Do you can change this for next version? Please! Because you ROM is awesome.

I wonder how I install CWM recovery without flashing the regular v20s via SFT? I tried not to install this custom CMW ('ve had problems with it to restore roms at other times) but could not.

I have not been able to sort out the issue of date & time sync with my network provider, I have to do it manually & I have to go through all the pain every time I reboot my phone.
Also, is there any app to control the extensive battery drain?

from the Play Store, download and install "No-frills CPU Control". Open the program and set the governor to either "performance" or "interactive". Set the scheduler to "cfq". That should help with the battery. (it should actually double it).
Not sure about the time sync. Someone else was manually having to do it too.
Have you performed a factory reset via settings or the hidden menu?

Did you flash v30 baseband? Coz for me it solved the problem with auto time/date sync.

I had the problem with wrong time sync a lot with CM10 as I used a v20 baseband. After upgrading to v30 baseband I only had it with one CM10.1 ROM.

I used the base band from Huexxx when I updated from GB to ICS:

You should be able to change the base band even after you install a ROM image.
Hi, I'd like to try this ROM but I just have a few quick questions as I couldn't find a clear answer reading through all the posts in this thread and the dev. thread...
Is flashing the baseband absolutely essential to run this ROM? I currently have V20j as I'm in Canada on the Koodo (Telus) provider. I noticed the basebands (versions V30x) are for Europe and Germany etc. Would this not cause an issue as I'm in Canada? Would the language still be in English?
Also there are several baseband versions, I'm not sure which one I should use. Can anyone help me understand which one I should use (if any)?
Does this ROM contain it's one gapps version as well as it's own Kernel? (I'm currently using kernel 3.0.8)
I'm currently running Mackay 2.7.6 (JB 4.2.2) so I'm assuming just a factory/data wipe, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache, and install the zips from SD, correct?
Can someone confirm the bluetooth works with this ROM (audio works) as well as camera works completely?

No it's not essential. I don't know if it's better to stay with your baseband or flash the european open. I would first stay with the one you have and than after a few days try the v30 one, if v30 works well it's probably better. You know that some contries in europe speek English too? (Like England.)

Your getting something complettly wrong here, this is not CM9 based it's based on the oficiall LG v30b, so Gapps are not needed (you could say there already included, but it's more like there not removed). Marvel11 comes with aroma installer and includs 3 different kernels. Mackay is CM10.1 based, so everything is different, the kernel for sure.

Camera works, GPS didn't for me (europe) but it might for you, bluetooth I hardly ever use so I can't garantie but it works on other v30 based ROMs so I don't see why not. (As said it's not CM9 based.)
Don't make a fuss just try it, it should work. If it doesn't you probably made something wrong, than come back explain what you did and probably a few ppl can help you.
do we need to flash v30 baseband separately? doesn't it gets flashed along with the ROM?
Hello. I have been using Mackay ROM CM10 build for a while. I have some questions to ask. I will just write a few see if anyone answers...
1- I had to flash V10 to be able to flash the ROM. So my baseband is v10. Should i change it to v20?
2- On lockscreen the unlocking icon is on the right. I have to swipe right which is kind of a drag since i use my right hand. I can't change the location of the unlocking icon. Anyone knows how?
3- When i change the theme of the apps, say like from white to dark, app still opens in white theme and then turns dark after a few seconds. Which is so stupid. Any way to solve that?
If you know any of the answer please write the number and the answer. I preciate it. TIA.

Thank you very much for your answer. Nobody answers anymıore, at least not to me. This is my first time using CM so i am ignorant about it.
I can change the lockscreen. But i don't undertand what is causing number 3 and what can solve it. I guess i have to live with it.
