Hey guys,
Anyone found a hard case that fits in the car dock yet? Tried the incipio one but it's pretty tight, and the last thing I wanna do with my shiny new bionic is to go wedging and squeezing it
Also, I've heard that because the screen is gorilla glass there's really no need for a screen protector, anyone wanna weigh in on this? I generally carry the phone in my pocket with nothing else in it, should I be worried about scratches or scuffs through normal use and carrying? In the event of a bad enough drop/scratch that the screen would get damaged, would a screen protector provide any help anyway?
Thanks in advance for any advice, and hope everyone is enjoying their phone as much as I am!

The screen protectors they try to sell you at the VZ stores are *always* useless on *all* phones. And since the Bionic has gorilla glass, even the invisibleSHIELDs and Bodyguardz are useless also. You don't have to worry about scratches and scuffs at all on a device that has gorilla glass.
As for cases, I don't plan on using one at all, so I don't have an opinion on that.
i purchased the Shell Holster combo from Verizon and if you remove the insert in the car dock the phone will fit in it with the hard shell on it.
The hard shell also works with the extended battery.
I'm looking for a case that fits over the extended battery. Didn't like the uncomfortable plastic one verizon offers. Haven't seen any others.

I tried the shell holster combo, didn't seem to fit in the car dock even with the insert removed. It felt like the bulge that allows for the extended battery made the case too wide for the clamp on the car dock to fit over the phone, but I was also being pretty delicate with the thing (like I said, I REALLY don't want to go wedging and squeezing anything on my new baby!), but maybe I missed something? Can you post pics of yours in action?
I'll also say that I thought it was odd that the only clamshell holster that my verizon store had was one that fit the extended battery, it definitely seemed to add a lot of bulk to the phone that you don't need if you're not using it. Is there just the single "one size fits all" version of this case, or are there separate ones for the standard and extended batteries (which seems like it would make a lot more sense)?
Also, thanks for the advice on the gorilla glass, I did get a set of verizon screen protectors (even though I know they're worthless) just as a temporary measure until I could get a better one, but I guess I'll be tearing that thing off and seeing how it goes. Anyone else wanna add their weight to this recommendation and make me feel a little better about going au-natural on the screen? I'm coming from a Dinc which definitely needed the screen protector, so I may just be a little paranoid, but it would totally ruin my day if I went without and then ended up with a permanently scuffed screen
Thanks again for all the advice guys, I'm totally loving this thing, just gets better and better every day I use it!
I didn't use anything on my screen (or a case for that matter) on my DX for the year I had it and the screen still looks brand new. I usually carried the phone in my pocket with nothing else in the pocket. Also dropped the phone a few times and no damage whatsoever.
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
I had Gorilla Glass on another phone and used it for over a year with ZERO scratches. I do not plan on using a screen protector with my Bionic. However, I am shopping for a thin case to stop surface scratches.
I had two OG droids over a period of two years that never had a screen protector.
One did get a very minor scratch but the other I had for longer was flawless the entire time.
I think the only thing you have to watch out for if you're going bare is sand.
So what are you guys recommending for cases? I like the Incipios, but if the holster works in the car dock, that'd be a big selling point.

Looking for a case to fit over the extended battery as well. Hoping that there will be some soon!
You do NOT need a screen protector... rocked the D1 for ~2yr without one and not a single blemish became of it.. it has the same gorilla glass screen:
Youtube:Motorola Droid A855 Key Screen Scratch Test
As for cases... I got the 'high-gloss silicone' case from VZW... I like it, EXCEPT that the power button doesn't work in the car-dock. I was thinking of returning it, but I might just go exacto on it and make a little cut-out for the power button.
I don't know if this is very relevant but tomorrow i'm picking up the otterbox defender bionic case from radioshack (got a buddy whose a rep that can get me a discount). I've seen the otterbox cases on other phones and they're awesome. They do add a lot of bulk but if you're often at risk of destroying your phone if you drop it like I am, (I work at citizens bank park in philly) the bulk is well worth the protection.
Wow, some of you guys are very lucky. Gorilla Glass, without a doubt, CAN SCRATCH. It handles things like coins and keys fine, but things that are harder, like sand, will scratch it. It amazes me that some people still say its unscratchable. Do yourself a favor and get a good quality screen protector, not that Zagg garbage. I recommended Steinheil Ultra Crystal. Once its on, you'll never notice it. Just like glass.
So, just in case anyone was wondering, I did end up finding a hard case that fits in the docks/mounts easily and allows charging and dock mode. The Incipio Feather is what I got, and I'm really liking it. It barely adds any bulk to the phone, but it gives it enough protection to ward off pocket scratches or dings and would probably do fine in a small drop. It does come with a screen protector but I wouldn't recommend using it, it's one of the harder plastic ones that picks up fingerprints like crazy, and while it's big enough to fit the entire screen it doesn't bend to conform to the screen's curves so it overhangs and lifts up around the edges which sucks. I'll probably end up getting a Zagg or a Steinheil instead, but as for the case I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a hard case but not much bulk!

Interesting. Did you contact them? I haven't had this problem on my phone or tablet.
I've heard that the OEM case verizon sells fits in all the docks. I believe there's some sort of insert that you can pull out to adapt for the case. Thoughts...?

Yes, the oem SILICONE cases fit in the docks, but if you're like me and want a hard case you'e SOL. There are only three hard cases that verizon sells for the Bionic, the Incipio two-piece case, the Otterbox, and the shell holster combo, and none of them seem to fit the docks and allow charging/dock mode (not to mention that the otterbox and shell/holster are both huge). You're right about the insert, but it still doesn't help with any of the hard cases that were released at verizon, which is why I'm so stoked to find the one I did!

Hey I'm considering this Feather or the Seidio Surface case (which I had with my Incredible). From the pics on the Incipio website for the Feather case, it looks like the top corners are exposed...is that true? Its a little hard to tell from the website pics. Would you mind taking a couple of pics of the corners with the case on and posting here?
Thanks!!

Like when you move an icon from one home screen to another, you slide it to the edge and wait. I've tried a few different cases and they all have such a high edge on them taht they inhibit my thumb/finger's ability to go all the way to the edge of the screen - making it virtually impossible to move an icon.
The bigger issue is that it affects my typing when trying to quickly swype through the "P" or "Q", etc.
So...anyone have a case with a very low profile..allowing your finger to glide over that are similar to a case-less phone? I rarely, if ever, see that being discussed when cases are talked about.
I too am interested in what people have to say about this. I have a 2-piece hard case i don't use because it prevents me from using Swype effectively, so i just resorted to the Zagg full-body screen and avoid putting things in my pocket alongside my phone lol
I just use the verizon high gloss black case. it's a great fit. I actually had the body glove before but moved down to this one... don't drop my phone so I don't feel a need for a huge case ya know? I can now use swype and drag effectively as well.
Is the verizon case a two piece snap on or a flexible pull on?
Try the 'ElCheapo' in my sig.. swype works GREAT with it.

The Verizon case is a one piece flexible pull on.
I does have the raised lip you are talking about but it is not as pronounced as some of the aftermarket cases I've seen.
Here is one on eBay (this is the one I bought).
Verizon HTC Incredible Black Silicone Gloss Cover OEM
Just a side note...
When moving items from one screen to the other, I find it hard even without a case. A solution that works for me is to press the item you want to move and then use the virtual trackball to move from one screen to the other.

I have never had any troubles with swype while using this case. It covers no section of the screen and grips onto the small outer edge of the phone. Works like a charm!
I also hate hitting my case when swyping the screen. I find that the argile design case from amzer.com works best for me and I've been using it for a month.

admittedly, I don't have my DInc just yet but I ordered/received the Seidio Innocase Actice II for HTC Incredible... It came with a cardboard insert that mimics the phone actually being inside of it... The edges on this case seem to be really low profile and with this cardboard insert my finger can easily glide off edges.
You can get find an in-motion view of the same case for Evo on Youtube—I can't link as I am a n00b
My DInc is coming tomorrow so I will update with results but with the silicone edges and a slight inner bevel to this I think it may be what you're looking for... case features an outer exoskeleton that protects back and corners for more protection than just the silicone material could offer.

Well, I just got my cases and screen protectors yesterday. The cases are fantastic for the price. The screen protectors on the other hand were all cut to big and left bubbles after applying them, so I'm having them send me new ones. At least it was only $4 for all three.
I picked up the Spect case from my local VZW yesterday. I had the faded black/red from vzw and I hated the sides on it.. I wanted a one piece, not a 2 piece..
well this one is friggin awesome. The sales folks working there had never heard/seen the case before and In the 30 minutes I was in the store, 4 employees bought it after playing with it on my phone and 2 additional customers bought it as well. its a one piece design and the interior is cloth so it wont scratch up the screen. I dont have an issue with Swype as it doesn't cover the front at all.
Well worth checking out...
Innocase ii here, no issues at all.

Just was wondering what people have been using to protect their N1s now that its been out for a while, and how has it held up. I like the look of the N1 on its own without cases, and was thinking of using the little pouch that came with the box with no other case. Is this a wise move?
I have a case on my phone and an anti-glare screen protector (don't get anti glare it ruins the screen's look and colors) the reason I don't use the pouch is it gets annoying to take the phone out of my pocket with the pouch on then have to remove the phone from the pouch.

The slip case that came with the phone
Seidio Innocase works for me. See the XDA Nexus acessories section...
I've got an Otterbox Commuter series case that I use when I'm on "business" trips or at other times that my phone is likely to be handled roughly. That case is no joke. Actually, I would probably use that case all the time if I didn't use my car dock every time I drive. It takes a bit of time to pull the phone out of the case several times a day. I generally just use the slip case that came with the phone. Does a good job of fighting off scratches, and is still easy to remove so I can install the phone in a dock in just a moment.
Just a screen protector, I have used cases/covers etc, and always end up coming back to just nothing I like the slim feeling
I like the slim look also, thats why i think im going to stick with the little android pouch that came in the box. Just hope it doesnt cause any black marks on the sides or anything. Previous owner of the nexus said he never used a case but made sure nothing else was in his pocket and the phone looks brand new with no marks anywhere.
On one of my other N1s there are some dust particles under the screen on the bottom left. 1 of them is big enough to look like a dead pixel when the screen is on, the rest are not noticeable. Anyone have a easy fix to get rid of the dust? That one particle is starting to annoy me.
Ever since I lost the neoprene case, I have been going commando.

I do similar: when I'm traveling, I put the N1 in my Otterbox Commuter case and enable the PIN the lock. Otherwise, no case and no PIN.
A gel skin for me.
I put a screen protector on it to cut down on sweaty fingerprints during the summer, otherwise nothing. I've had mine since it came out for ATT (march?) and it's still perfect. Just keep keys and change in the other pocket.
i'm using a silicone slip on protector. i'm too scare i'll drop it without it otherwise i would go commando but i have nerve damage in my right hand so my control over parts of my hand are sub par compared to normal people
my ulnar nerve was severed by glass and repaired but i still do not have full function of the minor muscles in my hand and only have partial feeling in the pinky/ring finger and that side of my hand so thicker phones are more comfortable in my hand and the super rubber grip around the whole thing makes it very hard if not impossible for it to slip out of my hand.

I use BestSkinsEver (for a fraction of the cost of an InvisibleShield) protection and a horizontal leather Case Logic pouch... I used to have a silicon protector but it was a pain in the butt because it collects dust and lint like crazy!
Does anybody have this? It looks really sharp (and I'm about to order one) but the only thing holding me back is the top/bottom. It looks like it doesn't cover it properly. Whenever I've dropped a phone and got some scuffs, it's always the top and bottom that take the brunt of it.
If you have this case, could you post some pics? Or provide some insight to the protection? Here is a link to it on Amazon:

i had this case for a few weeks now. i'm pretty happy with it. phone sits nice and snug inside the case with a nice feel to the material and barely adds any dimensions it.
the front extends a bit past the edge of the phone so that its raised off your glass if put face down. the top and bottom is exposed but if it falls on any flat surface the edges of the case sticks out far enough that it'll hit the case first and not the phone itself. not sure if the case will pop out on a fall and don't intend to find out, but it fits snug enough that sometimes it takes the back battery door off when i remove the case. screen protector that comes with the case is complete junk.

Thanks for the link, just checked it out. I'm still torn. I absolutely LOVE the look and sleekness of it, but I know as soon as I buy it I'll drop my phone and scuff the top. This would anger me
I dropped my x2 three days after purchase and scuffed it all up right at the top. I haven't let this Bionic be naked once - it was covered before I left the store.
It's a damn shame too - because this phone is sexy naked.

I'm not a big big fan of cases. I had a Droid 1 with the Body Glove that gave really good protection but it made it really bulky and hard to get in and out of pockets. When I upgraded to the Droid X, I just got the full body invisiShield, which worked great but did not protect against drops and dents
The Bionic with the plastic full cover backing, I didn't think a full body invisiShield would have been the right choice to go (actually my friend has it and he has huge peeling problems). When I shopping amazon, I came across this TPU case, and for $9, it was worth a shot... It seriously was the best buy I could've ever made. When its on your phone, it is solid. It doesn't feel flexible and I haven't dropped my Bionic, yet. The backing is a nice matte black -- it has a very natural feel (like you don't have a case). It does add SLIGHT girth/weight, but its not at all cumbersome. The Bionic fits real snug and it lips around the edges in the front (you can set it down face down and the screen doesn't touch the table -- this is a huge convenience, one example would having your phone drop flat on the front side, given that there aren't any rocks or pointed objects (but if you dropped it even w/o the case, well same story...).
The best part, it fits in the Cardock PERFECTLY. Downside, it does not fit on the desk dock... but when I'm at home or at my desk... I rock my Bionic naked... and the case is flexible, so its easy to take off/on.

Thanks for the post - good read.
I researched the case you spoke of and it's very similar to the Verizon gel case I currently have. It definitely provides the right amount of protection, but I'm looking to get that "sexy naked feel" the unprotected Bionic provides.
Here is what I'm thinking. I'm going to order the matte black phantomskinz skin. Cover the top and bottom (the only parts exposed from the incipio feather case) and then rock the incipio. Might be slightly ghetto, but I'm sure I can get it looking good. That will give me the lightweight feel of the incipio case with some protection from nicks and scratches on the top and bottom.
I'll post pics when I make it happen.
I would definitely invest a little more for the balance of sexy and protection, this was just the quick fix for now but its turning into a permanence since it really tops the silicon gels.. pictures just don't do it justice.

I've just become a huge fan of TPU after picking this up. I'm not a big fan of high gloss or clear/patterned designs, the matte black is definitely a sexy finish.

You sure love your TPU. Lol. Few questions:
Have you seen the Verizon gel case that speak of?
How similar/different is it? Size wise? Obviously one is matte and one is glossy.
Just curious, cause that's what I rock, and from pics it seems the matte vs. glossy is the only real noticeable difference.

Yeah, when the Droid X came out, another friend of mine got the Verizon case at the store. The ones we are talking about are the silicone gel cases that are really flexible and rubbery. I would almost describe it as sticky as over time it gets softer and attracts more lint. These slip off the phone easily sometimes. The width that it adds is pretty minimal since it is a floppy material, and a hard shell case is just the opposite in that respect. The hard shell cases in my experience fit the phone real nice, and are not floppy at all, and add minimal width. When you drop a hard shell though, the hardshell cracks over time and it doesnt really distribute the shock. But its to your preference and likelihood of dropping your phone I guess. I'm just really backing how cheap the TPU cases are and how reliable the material is. It seriously is something you have to see to beleive. Let me know how the incipio is!

Update..
I just noticed my desk dock had a "padding"... it totally fits with this case on!
Got this case today.
Initial impressions:
*Absolutely love the thinness of it. It feels like I don't have a case on. Looks sharp.
CONS:
*No top and bottom protection (I knew this before purchase)
*Back gets smudgey

Amazon Search: TPU-Cases-Flexible-Motorola

You know what I just realized? When I wrote this post, my phone was in a TPU case. Lol.
I got the smoky argyle one, and definitely loved the appearance and lightweight feel of it. I thought it felt a little janky by the power button (was pretty loose) and there were some leftover nubs from where it was cut - clearly visible against the black background of the screen.
I got some black sandpaper and sanded it down, but it left the case looking like garbage. I got it for $2.95 + $2.95 shipping, so I'm not complaining. I might end up ordering another.
I just got this case, iridescent red one, I agree the top and bottom is exposed but the look and feel of it is very nice. It is very sexy looking as well, doesn't cover anything that shouldn't be covered like holes etc.
The main reason I got this one was that someone said it would fit in the Moto car dock, and it does. However, if I hit a bump some times it pops up justttttt enough to stop charging. Pop it back down and it stays for a while again.
Funny no one else ever mentions this but I live in Florida, and every single black droid I have owned (1, 2, 2global, and now bionic) overheats when going on long trips and using Nav. Can't charge it when it overheats. I wanted to go with Iridescent Red to maybe reflect some of that heat...hope it works.
Also, red and black just go together....
Just got my phone back from getting the screen replaced and need to find something to put it in to keep it safe! Any Suggestions?
Original HTC Desire HD Leather Case
Hi there,
when I got my NS i went to the nearby Electronics Shop and tried the cases they had. The Original HTC Desire HD leather Case fits very well...
do you have the i9020 or i9023? Any type of case you have in mind?

The Incipio Feather Case is nice. It doesnt add much bulk, but still protects well.
Why not get a good screen protector and then run without a case. When the battery door gets to the point that its no longer attractive or you want to sell the phone buy a new battery door cover. A new battery door will cost you $7-$12 on eBay.
My Nexus has survived wars and it still looks good w/o a case. Like ^ this guy said, screen protector would suffice. I hate that extra bulk in my pocket.
I've got the trident aegis black-on-black for my NS4G (which I've had since last august) and think it's great. I had never been a "case" guy, and always kept my phones bare, but this phone was just waaaaaay too slippery. The smooth plastic back is one of the worst features of this phone and makes it really hard to hold on to if you're constantly juggling stuff in your hands and on the move. I dropped it a bunch of times in the first few days I had it before I just caved and ordered this case.
It's a two-piece case with a silicone full body case that covers the whole phone, and then a hard plastic outer shell that kind of clamps around the silicone.
The silicone part is supposed to absorb shock when you drop it, I guess. It has tabs that cover the headphone and usb ports, cutouts that are perfect for the camera and speaker, and mic, and is a bit thicker on the corners, which gives me some confidence and makes me think that they thought the design through well. I've dropped it a bunch, and watched my 1.5yr old son throw it to the ground, and no probs.
The plastic part wraps around that and is supposed to be good at reducing risk of damage during "crushing" impact. All I can say is that I actually shut my car's trunk on this phone accidentally and it was absolutely fine. It gives it gives it a sleeker feel and minimizes the "ruberry-ness", too.
It also comes with a clear screen protector that is fine, and I don't even notice. Since the screen is curved most people complain about the fact that screen protectors don't stick well on the edges, which is true, but the lip of the silicone case on the front covers this area, so you don't even notice it. I also don't notice a difference when using the touchscreen.
The silicone part does collect lint, so if you're OCD about that, it'll be annoying, but the protection makes it totally worth it for me. I'll gladly pay $30 for a rock solid case that collects a little lint rather than get insurance at $7.99 x 24 months = $192 over the contract. The one thing that's important to know if you use multiple batteries like I do, is that you have to put the silicon section into the hard plastic section first, pop all the buttons out of their holes on the hard plastic case, and then push the phone into the case. If you try to put the rubber part on the phone first, and then put the hard plastic on, the fit is so tight, it's tough to get the buttons to pop out. It was pretty frustrating before I figured this out, but now it only takes me a few seconds to do a battery swap. Finally, the case does add some bulk to the phone, but I personally don't think it's all that bad. The phone feels more solid in my hand and is much less slippery.
I've been meaning to write a review for this phone in the proper thread, but I don't like to review stuff unless I've really used it. So I pretty much forgot till I saw this post. Maybe I'll go link to this post in that thread too, but if you want pics, I remember seeing them in that thread, and in threads over on androidcentral or androidforums or something. Good luck with the case search.
I grabbed the Ballistic case for my Nexus. It's pretty rugged, stays on very well, and comes off easily when you want it too. Feels very solid in your hands.

Dou you have i9020 or i9023 version?
These are sick... Like the Mercury, but minus the blatant Engrish
http://www.myincipio.com/Google-Nex...Ultralight-Hard-Shell-Case-1065_1566-opt.aspx
Once I got my T-Mobile Note 2, I searched the interwebs for a case that would protect the phone and make it less slippery. The quest was not an easy one, with barely any cases available, and most being replicas with different names. Additionally, none of the ones I saw offered protection around the corners, something that I find 100% essential on a case.
So after several hours on the general Galaxy Note II Accessories forum and several pages down the Amazon hole through multiple search keywords, I found the perfect case, for the time being. The case is a basic TPU S-line hybrid with an added kickstand. Nothing new or revolutionary, I'm sure, but given the lack of choices as of yet, a good one nonetheless.
The case protects, as commented, all 4 corners, and it protrudes enough that it lets you place the phone face down without suffering any damage on the screen. The kickstand works, though this is also the biggest caveat I've found.
The kickstand is on a hinge, and, to keep the case as thin as possible, the kickstand is embedded into the case. This wouldn't be such a problem, this happens on the Seidio Active, for example. However, the case is so thin that the hinges protrude too much out of the case, causing this to be the main point of contact with the surface when you place the phone on its back. It's irritating because one would hope a case would make the phone less slippery when placed on a surface than the original plastic, but hanging from two small pieces of plastic is not much better. There's always the placing the phone on its kickstand position, and that's fine, but don't think about pushing the phone hard on this position, or you'll cause the hinge to let you shift the phone to the "second" position, and, if pushed further, down to the ground.
The kickstand hasn't broken yet, but leaves uncertainty on how long it'll last. The black part of the case is grippy, specially on its sides, with the semi-see-through material being more slippery (though this is not an inconvenience, really).
All ports are well protected, but not covered, so no worries about echo issues like in other cases.
The kickstand is perfect for watching movies on the beautiful 5.5 inch screen.
The durability of the case is debatable. While I'm sure it'll withstand some falls, its purpose is more of a "now it'll not slip off my hands every time I pull it out of my pocket" than "let's toss this sucker from a 20 ft window"
This case more than serves its purpose, and at $5.98 including S&H (shipping from MN, USA), it should be in everyone's short list of capable though cheap cases.
If your phone is naked awaiting a case that fits your immediate needs, this will suffice. If you're looking for something that protects better, is more elegant, and of a known brand, the Seidio Active with Metal Kickstand is my #1 choice. But meanwhile, until it is released, I'd rather have this $6 case than go "naked".
I'm waiting for Amazon to accept all my images that I uploaded so I can provide you with images.
In the meantime, you can check out my Amazon Review here.
>>> It comes on either Black, Blue, Pink, Purple, White. I think I've also seen red, and I'm sure you can also find it on eBay.
>>> Black one seems to be "Unavailable".
Did it come with that screen protector you have installed?
I ordered one from china might get it next year LOL and also ordered another for a note 1, hopefully is as good as this one, I've had the S-line case on my S3 and even tho it was cheap i loved it.. you keep the slimness of the phone witch is important having a 5.5inch screen on the pant pockets isn't fun, imagine adding 1cm of case might aswell get the iDevice-mini.
thanks for the pics now i know what I got into...

Yeah I tried to do it so that the selling company was located in the US, just so it wouldn't take so long to arrive because I was holding the phone naked and it was slippery as hell.
The screen protector is a SPIGEN SGP Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Screen Protector Clear Steinheil [Ultra Oleophobic] [2-PACK]
Personally, I don't think the protector is the best, but I feel more comfortable about using my phone now. The safer the better. I got a scratch on my S2 with Gorilla Glass, because I figured "oh Gorilla Glass...don't need a protector". I tried to put protector when I first got it, but failed on 3 accounts. It just didn't look good. Wore it for a while till it looked even worse and I just simply removed it. And of course... Sh*t happens.
So this time, I ordered protector same time as case. Except it is fulfilled by Amazon so it took 2 days free shipping. I think the price is high, AND I have 2-3 bubbles that don't go away. Really, they aren't bubbles. They're specks of dust, and the surrounding area does not stick to the screen. I've thought about using the second protector but...uh I don't know.
"But it's Gorilla Glass 2, you don't need protector!" Not gonna fall twice for that. "But it's gonna interfere with the S Pen!" You know what, I think from time to time it does interfere. I've noticed sometimes while drawing that I might lift the pen but it still draws on the screen. Not sure if that's due to the screen protector or not...
Anyway, best of luck. Protect your phone with the first thing you find in the meantime until you get your case!
i see there's a minor bump on the kickstand that prevents the phone from laying perfectly flat on it's back. Is there' a slight wobble to it if you lay it flat and touch one side?
I just got this case in today and Im happy with what I got for the money.

well....
Since I got the Note 2 from t mobile on the day of launch, the store was not carrying any cases so I went ahead and ordered a cheap plastic case from ebay and ran to the sprint store where they had ONE SAMSUNG OEM FLIP CASE and purchased as well. As everybody knows, this samsung OEM case DOES NOT PROVIDE SIDE/CORNER protectio and since I HAVE NO GRIP hands, I had to have every kind of protection available so I integrated both covers. Here are some sample pics. I will keep this on until I get my SPIGEN case!!!!
p.s. I know it looks kind of ghetto but at least I am protected!!!

Is this TPU case thick? I prefer thick rubber case to protect it more but might consider this since it has a kickstand

It really is thin. This may not be the best for you, but I'd say just because of the kickstand, it may hold you over until you find a better one. Personally looking forward to Trident Aegis and Seidio Active. There's also Otterbox...
I got the same but the phone won't fit well. If I manage to fit the top, the bottom won't. If I do the opposite the top won't. Did yours had this problem?

Sorry, can't help you there. I really had no problem whatsoever putting this one in. I've taken it out about a dozen times, and I've never had issues taking it out or putting it back in. I ordered the Seidio Active case, so this one will be retired soon. But while using it, my only complaint was that the stand was not reliable. That's about it.
You might want to contact the seller and get a replacement. Looks like there's something wrong with yours. Also, make sure that all ports/buttons line up, and that they didn't send you the case for the wrong phone or some such.
Good luck!
This case is "unavailable" on Amazon but there are a million of them on Ebay, in all different colors. I got one in clear because I like to show off my phone, not the case, although I know from my old iPod case that I actually like the look of a clear glass-like edge around the sides.
I just wanted to chime in that if you get the clear version, beware that it *will* stick to the back cover of the phone. It's ugly because you get these big blobs and patches, and I found it immediately unacceptable. The case only cost me $5 so I just tried sanding it down on the inside so it wouldn't stick... which technically worked, but now it's even uglier. Yeah, I ruined it, but I couldn't see using it the way it was before. I was also concerned that over time, it'd stick so hard that I wouldn't be able to get it off. Already, whenever I'd take it off, I'd hear a "crack" as it unstuck from the back cover. I'm actually still using it after the sanding and it works just fine and doesn't stick anymore, but it is ugly.
My advice is to get a solid color version of this case if you get one, and still sand the inside of it so it doesn't stick. (Though make sure it's really opaque if you sand it; if it's clear at all, you'll see sanding marks.)
I really like kickstand cases but I'm thinking now of just getting something that gives me a little better grip on the phone (like a textured back cover) and then either not getting a case at all, or getting another one of these and hoping it doesn't stick to a more matte back cover.
for those who don't like the gloss look, how about:

No, I don't have one sorry.
I just spotted it on ebay last night and thought I would post it here as an alternative for people to consider when I saw the thread earlier
I do have it in my watchlist and may purchase later, but at the moment I'm using a FlyGrip and a plain matt tpu case
The kickstand looks a bit more flush on that one. Does not seem like there is much texture in the TPU for grip though. I will let someone else be the guinea pig, but I am curious to hear about it.

Me too, I'm very curious about this case...

They have that one in clear now too.
It looks frosted so it probably just has a matte texture that makes it easier to grip.
I found another clear TPU case similar to the first kickstand one but minus the stand and with all 5-star reviews on Amazon... found the same case on Ebay for cheaper (under 5 bucks) so I'm trying that next. If that one still creates unsightly stickiness, I'll just go for a clear hard plastic case. I've used one of those on my iPod for literally 5 years and they are surprisingly effective and look perfect.
LOL. I ordered the clear one to try out. I am so weak and have no will power.
