Hi Im On JPJV6 Rom Any Idea How I Can Root ?
Thanks In Advance
You can use Hardcore kernel or CF-Root kernel for that
Easy steps:
- download a rooted kernel for 2.3.4 (I prefer Hardcore or CF-root)
- open Odin and check "PDA" and browse to kernel file
- put your phone in download mode and connect it to computer
- pres Start button
Nice guides here for flashing with odin and rooting :http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1613

Hi guys,
I'm really interested in flashing Revolution Rom to my SGS1. It currently has CyanogenMod7 on it.
I've looked at the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236432
but can't figure out if I'm meant to just flash the rom or if I somehow need to flash a stock Gingerbread first before then flashing the REvolutionROM.
Can anyone assist?
Apologies if this question's already been asked, I did a thorough search but couldn't find anything. Happy if you just point me to another thread if it's already answered.
thanks
Aaron
To revert from CM7 to any other samsung rom you need to first flash a full PDA stock rom with odin. with repartition. and 512 pit.
then you can change to what ever rom you want.

Its quite simple dude....downlod any kernel from dev section eg semaphore or galaxian or cf root and then put ur phone in download mode and connect to odin and then in pda box select the kernel tar file u downloaded and start odin and ur rooted.

Hi, I'm new to the Android community (and xda-developers), that's why I'm having trouble with rooting my Note.
What I have tried:
- Download Odin 1.85
- Download pda.tar
- Start Odin, and add the pda.tar
- Connect the Note to the comp in Download mode.
- Click start
Odin fails doing that, and there are no error codes or something.
My details:
- Baseband N7000XXLA4
- Gingerbread 3.2.6
- Kernel 3.6.35.7-N7000XLLA6-CL907341
I hope you guys can help me out!
Rom You need to download a directly rootable stock rom try kk9 flash via Odin then use the root (kk9) from chain fires post then root
If you have a jig you could just flash the root via Odin or buy Odin mobile from market

- Download pda.tar (Make sure you have the downloaded the correct rom)
- Start Odin, and add the pda.tar
- Connect the Note to the comp in Download mode.
- Click start (before starting check on the top has the COM port turned yellow in odin - if not then get the drivers installed or install kies- but stop kies running in background as it may interfere with odin)
Once com port turns yellow then click start.
Hope this helps!
Hit thanks if you can!
i rooted using DooMLoRD_v4_ROOT-zergRush-busybox-su. all went well - thanks dr.Ketan
im interested in trying this rom CheckROM NoteHD™ V6 | Kitchen Pro v2.41
i presume i need to install CWM 1st? what do i backup before i install above said rom.
is this a safe way with no yellow triangle and binary count and is it easy enough to put back to stock for warranty purposes?
my current rom below - will the new rom update all PDA, PHONE and CSC?
PDA: N7000XXKKA
PHONE: N7000XXKK5
CSC: N7000XEUKK3
thanks for reading

Install CWM recovery by flashing the corresponding kernel to your current ROM from Chainfire's thread, they will be in post #4 if I remember correctly.. Flash using method described in post #2 the "already rooted.bat" method and you will have a working CWM recovery
Boot into said recovery: shut down your phone, press and hold 3 buttons: power + home + volume up and from there do a backup of your current ROM "another easier way would be to use the CWM app that cones with CF Root kernel and make a backup from there"
It is completely safe to flash through recovery, no yellow triangle and no flash counter will increase
The Check ROM will indeed update your PDA and CSC, but I don't think it will update your PHONE "aka modem"..there is a separate thread for modems to choose from and flash what suits you best
Hope this helps
What is the difference flashing from CWM recovery or using Mobile Odin? Sorry, if this is a stupid question. I'm still learning to tweak my Note.

Hi All,
I got a SGS for my wife and it has stock provider's 2.3.3 ROM.
I want to preserve it, so I need to install CWM somehow (without root), do a clean NANDROID backup, then flash in CWM the "GamerzROM Legend Edition v2.0" without rooting the phone first.
I'm guessing this new rom comes with ROOT so no need for flash rooted kernels via ODIN ...
How can this be achieved ?
You must root first
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda app-developers app
in order to root i need to upgrade to 2.3.6 first, right ?
No

Hi,
I don't know how to instal CWM without root! but you can flash semaphore kernel with Odin and you have root and CWM.
Download the tar file containing the kernel from here
Start Odin application
Select the tar file as PDA (do NOT select Re-Partition)
Put the phone in download mode
Connect your phone through USB to your PC and wait for the ID:COM to become yellow
Press start button
I hope it helps!:good:
