what causes random shutdowns on the kaiser? it is making me kinda mad thanks in advance.
It could be your tilt's battery. I had the same problem with mine and it turned out to be my battery. I was gonna buy a new, better battery (1600+ mAh) but I was still under AT&T's warranty so I just got a brand new one thru warranty replacement.
Or it could be the terminals on the battery and/or on the device.
Are you having shutdowns or restarts?
I was having random restarts with WM6.1. Flashed 6.5 and now no restarts. I also never had that problem with 6.0, only after I upgraded to 6.1.
i am having shutdowns not restarts. i was using an extended battery i will switch to a standard battery and see if that fixes the problem. thanks guys for the help.

Take it to a service center and let them fix it under warranty.
I think ac contactor problem

Hi everyone, I purchased my Xperia TX 2 months ago in Singapore and now I return to my home country- Vietnam. My phone was working good till last week.
I was surfing via 3G on my phone and i remember it was 3% battery left and then BANGGG...My phone turned black and i though it was out of battery.
Then I charged it on wall socket as usual and saw the red notification light as usual but it disappeared after a while. I couldnt turn it on anymore. I charged it for 4 hours and the screen kept the same.
I have tried to press "power +up/down volume" keys and its still frozen. Only the red light vibrates and nothing more.
I DIDNT unlock the boot loader, water, or drop it. I use my phone for daily uses and usually connect with the Sony Companion so I make sure again its not rooted yet.
Finally, I bring it on the customer service and they said its because of my fault to unplugged it when flashing ROM bla bla bla. i though Its because they have not seen any problem like this before since Xperia TX has not been released in Vietnam yet and they could not turn the phone on or connect it to PC. So, I left it there this morning and wait for the result.:crying:
Does anyone have the same problem with me? Is it the hardware or software problem? Is it the Sleep of Death (SOD) mentioned in some thread here? PLEASE show me how to fix it!
Have you tried taking out the battery, wait awhile and put it back again and plug the phone for charging again?
But since it's already in the service center, no need to worry, they can repair whatever the problem is.

you should have tried the backup and restore app of Sony bro, copy the backup to your PC and then restore it later after your phone got back from service center
anyways, next time try that app, it saves a lot of time
and about service center, they are quite very good in service quality

Yesterday i tried removing the battery and it was no use. I am mad because i just lightly used the product for less than 2 weeks, took good care of it, and wont be able to return it because I am in another country. So that is 539 USD wasted.
Hey, anything could solve this problem?
As many threads about this (Or a similar problem) suggest you just need to leave you rphone on charge for at least 24 hours. Use a wll charger not a USB.
Do not touch the phone in this time, just wait. If after this it does not charge, it appears your battery is FUBAR'd
Hey, device more than 24 hours when there is no change, still red light. I had some battery nothing helps. Help please what can be done? Thank you.

Do you know someone else with a phone that yu could borrow their battery to see?
I take it you have checked whether the charger works and tried other chargers?
Another trick I have heard of in the old X10 forum is to cut the end of your charger lead and directly put red wire onto positive end of battery and black wire onto the negative end and charge the battery that way. But do this at your own risk. I have no way of knowing if this will work on the TX and it may even make the battery worse....but for a last chance it may be worth a go.
Edit
Also, its not yet been 24 hours since my post saying leave it plugged in for 24 hours...so maybe following instructions to the letter is something to go with in the future...
Hey, thanks for the experience to help and sorry for publication in both forums. I just gave up. I tried another battery I have another battery ... Did not work I think just the CPU burned or something? Sony is waiting for a reply on the matter. Unfortunately I did not buy the device in my country is not out here so I'm not sure I'd have a warranty. Thanks again

Got the same problem. No one can resolve this, and Sony refusing to repair a month old phone if you bought it not in your country. What a shame.
Bought new phone instead of bricked one.
Hello,
I have a question. Does the I9305 (S3 LTE) suffer with sudden death like normal I9300? Or this problem had only first pack of I9300? And now this problem is solved? I couldn't find an answer anywhere.
U think it is only for the exynos based s3
Sent from my soon to have HTC One using xda premium
That's mean it's okay? And I can be calm?
I'm not pretty experienced in this.
Every advice I get is useful for me.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2091045
I didn't hear of any I9305 to have a sudden death so i'd say is oki,
okay thank you guys
for sure I tried to check my phone with ECMM and it looks like all right.
thank you again.
Yes it does
I would say, yes it does effect the i9305 as well. I had a i9305 which I bought on kogan.com.au in October last year and it died on me on Monday last week! The phone just decided to restart itself out of the blue (wasn't even using it at the time, just sitting on my desk next to the computer - not plugged into anything), then hang on the boot splash screen. It is just over 230 days old and has been sent back to Kogan for warranty claim.
I only discovered this phenomenon existed once it happened to me and started researching it, by this time it was too late for me!

Hello,
I have two dead Mi5 smartphones and cannot find out why.
Fastboot, recovery not working, cannot charge, no LED lights. In few words - totally dead. I tried method with checkpoints on motherboard and had successfully flashed official ROM but result was same - dead.
Any one has any ideas whats the problem? I have changed battery from working model but nothing so it should be something with motherboard. But what?
U can solve your problem

not a solution, as I did it already twice, after a week or two you need to do the same. Probably the only option is to change the motherboard.

Hello i had same problem with phone. Totally dead, then i read on forum that it is probably pmi8994 chip on motherboard that was defected. I order that chip from aliexpress( must know what version is chip on your phone). Mine was pmi8994 002. I paid 8$ on aliexpress for two of them(you need only one) and 35$ for replacement. After replacement it come alive and working fine more than half year. I hope this will help.

It was suddenly power off and didn't want to turn on. I put it on charger (before failure battery was around 70%), but it didn't power on and notification light for charging was very dim and blinking. Then i check my domestic forum and got solution from one user who had same problem.

How did you change the chip? I saw a video on Youtube that describes the procedure of changing a chip, and looks like it is definitely nothing for laymen.
