[Q] is this legit - Motorola Droid 3

http://minus.com/mbjFE64n08 found this when I was looking around to see if I could find a time/data the update would be coming out or even if the soak test has really begun yet. Can anyone tell me if this is good or not? If this may be someone posting the latest soak test. Or if I should stay away from this completely. I did not get there from a forums site of any kind just put the os version in google to see what I could find.

I believe its the 959 someone probably renamed it. Got the same md5

I found the site. Its at androidforums.com http://androidforums.com/motorola-d...e-available-install-read-warning-first-2.html looks real to me. Im gonna install it and post back. Someone said they install this and when they were done and booted up it said an update was available.

Yes it definitely is the same as what was posted here and later removed the Dev OTA leak. Not sure why their named differently. But this one has the correct version number in the name.

Honeycomb official update question

http://www.androidcentral.com/dell-streak-7-honeycomb-update-has-arrived-some
So is this upgradable only from froyo, or can it be used to update from the Honeystreak? Haven't looked at all the details yet, as I'm still at work.
Thanks if you find anything out gang.
Update:
Moved thread from Dev to General
That makes no sense that it's only upgradeable from GB seeing as gb for s7 never existed
Proof or its not happening.
Iv got s7 wifi from uk but still says no update
What im worryed about its that my service tag has changed to the usa version
My s7 wifi says no update still
wonder if stage ui makes it over to honeycomb
It should, the s10 has stageui 1.7 and it's highly likely the s7 will too.
I did a write up here if anyone is interested in knowing the difference between the various stageui versions.
cool so stageui 1.7, you can use stage widgetswith any launcher?
You're all over this stuff TheManii..
on any HC device yes, it's not available yet though as no dump is available yet
it wont work on anything before 3.0
how would I even update this if and when it does come out?
I wonder how long it will take a mod to come and move this to general where it belongs When I first saw the thread title "Honeycomb official update" and it was in development I got excited thinking I'd find a link to a system dump or something.. But it was not related to development at all.. bummer. OP should get stoned to death for getting people excited.. hehehe
Instead of throwing rocks you can throw your s7's at him, dont mind me if i catch one and take it to dev on

Thanks for the link! However, when you go to install it, it says that it's a model mismatch in Android recovery.
any ideas?
I'll start preparing it, i KNEW that it was due to another unknown rom version.
The device version is different too, it's GLUNB1A2, vs GLUNB1A1 for normal wifi/3-4g devices and rom version 340.
Is that from your S7 Xi2Wicked?
If it is could you make a nandroid/nvflash dump before updating? as 340 for this device revision (and in general) hasnt been dumped

This is aparently a method to roll back the AHD on ATT to 4.0.4
Says something about using QPST.
I have no experience so im posting this and waiting till someone who understands it more can comment.
Well hopefully our great devs find a root for JB

DON'T FLASH IT!!!
This is most likely the Asian version and WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE!!!.
In case you haven't heard of me, I've been helping a lot around the Atrix 2 community. Then when i bricked it, at&t ran out of Atrix 2s and gave me and Atrix HD instead. Since then, I've been hiding in the shadows so I won't look like a n00b.
I'll take a look at this.
until then...
DON'T FLASH IT!!!
Check out that link I posted.
That looked very helpful. We just need someone with experience to make sure it could/does work.

There is the link just press the white button that says "下载" and download.
DEVS ONLY!!!!!
Started the download but its crawling along even on 20mbps connection.
Im no Deve though. Still the link I posted is a downgrade for US ATT phones!
IF that really works then we are saved even if JB isnt rooted ever!
So check it out as well. It uses QPST to fix bricked phones from the translated english I could make out.
i tried it
I tried no brick but it wouldnt come out of fastboot. Flashed back to 4.1.1 because it wouldn't let me flash to ICS either.
What method did you try.
The root or the rollback?
IDK anything yet,
10 minutes remaining.
I cant find download link

In China they sell them with unlocked bootloaders out of the box, don't even have to unlock them lol
So what's that mean for us Matt? While you LOL we wait anxiously for any hope of root.
Kinda figures the chinese hackers would be better than us
Since no one brought this up. This is form the chinese forum specificaly for ATT phones and rolling back.
We have to be able to get something from this. Here is the translated forum post and thread link.
http://bbs.gfan.com/android-5675929-1-1.html
Thread Title Translates into "[Experience] 4.1 downgrade to 4 and then root then OTA upgrade to 4.1 and then delete the at&t official app"
From the forums found this address http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.5.0.40.sdQ42d&id=15839118382 Taobao bought mb886
Hand of machine comparison simple, no packaging box, no headset, no HDMI line (does not clearly full of should is what sample), only machine, and line and charger, Hou cover see with somewhat rough, words see does not Qing (just carefully see has see, original is has layer film, tore has lot has), however I is doesn't matter, 1500 Yuan, buy this machine of principles originally is enough on line, on figure a CrystalTalk.
Hand machine is 4.1.1 Chinese, no locked bootloader, you have root, Forum of Chinese-speaking fees, useful original and I try not to toss the habit
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/dinara/list.php
4.1.1 under firmware, installed the pre-release driver according to RSD brush machine for tutorials in the forums.
All the best, starting with a long time feels good, but too many app at&t too tired, and would also like to buy things with market unlocker (because they do the Internet for many years, never trusting any app store in the country, even before the official market is entering into the definition, 4 well after some), there is the root idea.
Forums and XDA-pass, and found that we cannot root, downgrading is dangerous, but don't see a post saying who try to downgrade the bricks.
Worked, we said that it would lose IMEI, use QPST out IMEI spare.
Then download from the above address 7.7.1Q-144_MB886_MR1-22_SIGNED_CFC.xml.zip (also need to modify the XML file, remove the GetVar two lines),
After the wipe (can be a feeling, first wipe wipe cache has been contained), RSD flush, when brush is also very worried about bricks, but smoothly brushed inside, after the restart, settings, found that IMEI in, not lose it? Also use QPST and search a bit, 550.
Opens the developer options the first use debug and unknown sources of security, from: http://Forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1940594 motofail2go_ Windows.zip, implementation extracted run.bat, follow the prompts to root successfully, and then go to play store updated superuser, updated into superuser update Su
And then go to play Voodoo store installed OTA rootkeeper, or you can download from its official, http://DL.project-Voodoo.org/apps/, after install, backup root, and then UN-root, and then restore against each, several times, confirm no problem.
Enter the settings of the system update, start the download update package, download fast, faster than play app store synchronization, waited until all the app is installed, system update again to begin the update the update succeeds, IMEI (wrong ... ... ), But discovered that 4.0.4 with real racing2 does not know how ... ...

And corresponds to the odex files, some of these files in/system/app, in/system/vendor/app, by deleting out wipe the cache (note that only wipe cache)
Delete method is to use ES File Manager manually to a directory with the TF card, XDA people recommend Titanium Backup, I haven't tried, there are free versions of both of these play store.
Circles I had, the small circle to the right of the display can be a battery, did not find major problems currently in use, there is less of an issue People are following a fall in a YP, a collapse at app, XDA people to machine YP-free version, I didn't pay attention to the MB886 is there, anyway, is the ~
Final column is used to document mentioned above some of the app was downloaded directly from the play store

[Q] AT&T KitKat 4.4.2 Update Failing in 27%

I just flash my Note3 to install Stock 4.4.2 update. Do whatever and the system update manually, OTA and pushed by AT&T fails at 27% updating the phone. Anyone is experiencing the same issue?
Going back to root probably tonight and forget about AT&T KitKat. lol

It seems your phone was previously rooted. It happens to me as well. I am still waiting for solution from the developer.
So if your phone was previously rooted, but no longer rooted... you can't get the update? Even if I wanted to stay un-rooted, the only way to update to kitkat is by re-rooting and the upgrading?
Oh look... Another thread amongst 6 billion with the same issue...
This has been fixed and gone over many many MANY times... Please go look in the general section.

This post would be far more helpful with some actual links to maybe one or two of the useful threads out of the 6 billion. I searched the general section and have not found any simple fix to take the OTA update from a rooted NB4. However, I did find some other threads on the topic so hopefully these will help others. If I find a better fix I'll post it here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2696795 - another thread on the topic with a few ideas including getting the phone flashed and then taking the OTA update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701062 - this seems to be the only do-it-yourself fix for the issue that I've seen, but it requires downgrading to MJ5

Except that after I read your post, I was under the impression that there was a simple fix to get the OTA update to complete. There isn't, at least not that I could find. I searched for quite some time trying to find the "fix" you were referring to and out of the six billion posts I only came up with those two links. Also the link in the 2nd post of this thread was useful. However, as far as I can tell, there are workarounds to get the kitkat upgrade, but there is no way to get the OTA update to complete on its own. If I'm wrong, please correct me.
Incidentally, this thread was the first thread I came across in my search for a solution. If I landed here first, others will do the same. That's why I think it's helpful to others if you post a link to the appropriate information. It's not just for the sake of the OP, but for everyone who lands here. However, if you feel like it's better for the community to teach the OP a lesson and force them to search, that's really your call. We'll just agree to disagree.

I went to thread and checked, Bothwhen you first posted, and now. Both times download was available. Dont know what problem you had. You can try again if you want.
But you should not have started a new trouble/ question thread . This should have been in the thread for rom itself.

Like I said in the OP. I'm new here so it wont let me post in that part of the forums or I would have. I don't know why but it does have plenty of mirrors when I check now. I assure you though I checked multiple times when I posted this thread and it would just say "no mirrors found" and there was nothing to download. All the other firmware in that thread did work, so I assumed it was really broken.
Oh well, wish it had worked when I needed it, but I found another and already got all flashed to where I need it to be.
