My phone has always read "average" 4G speeds, around 7-8MB down and 5 up. I was accessing a server 150 miles or so away from where I live. They just added a server about 40 miles away, raising my avg to 12-15MB, then just released an update to the app today with "4G" fixes....and holy crap.. Goes to show how skewed these numbers can be..
Your speeds are fast man. These are my results.
Edit* for some reason the pic is all blurry but I get about 18 mbps download and 16 mbps upload

I should add that I'm in Denver and place or time if day hardly has an effect.

And more realistically I get 6mbps in real life situations 80% of the time. My revo's orientation sensor has gone haywire so they're gonna switch it out, so we'll see what's up. I also don't exactly use my unlimited plan lightly -_-

I have noticed, different cities with 4G have different results. I was in Chicago recently, at O'Hare airport, and I ran a speed test and got amazing results. upwards of 15 Mbps. When I got home to St. Louis, I ran the test again, using the same server (San Antonio) and my speeds dropped to 2.4 to 6 mbps. So I do think the location will make a difference. Even though Verizon says that shouldn't be.
Looks like San Jose likes me best. 36.7 down, 18 up.

Interesting. I was in Santa Clara a couple months ago and never saw speeds that high. You must live right under a tower, lol.
Awesome speeds though. Would be interesting to hear what part of San Jose so I can take a drive by and do a test.

Hello,
I am going to buy an international note.. what are its speeds for web browsing..
Speed test pics would be appreciated and videos

It would really help me out.. I don't know if I should spend 700 on the pink note. If I'm gonna have super crappy internet

Well the speed for web browsing is really fast on HSDPA+ (The highest one that you can get here in europe)
Found a speedtest on a german android forum.
http://fs01.androidpit.info/userfiles/411957/image/galaxy note 749.png
Edit:
Remember, that's not the highest value. HSDPA+ can reach up to 21,1 Mbit/s here.
This was with an international note?
But idk if it be the same for T-Mobile since were on 1700mhz
If 9mbps was reached there.. hopefully here as well

So there is no 3G data (and upper I assume) available with the International Note. Any reasons for not taking the AT&T Note SGH-I717 instead?
So what were those speeds lol.. I gotta see some speedtests of someone using it on tmobile

Also just read that you are able to use >3g, sorry for misleading informations.

So buy a pink case or those sticker covers and you can make it pink. I'd rather have a fully functional device than a colored device. That is only if you need the speed. if not pink it up! Where I live I only get 3G. Not hspa+, when I go downtown I get hspa+ so it's not worth it for me nor a deal breaker.

I use an n7000 on tmo stateside. Its only 2g so speeds are horrible... roughly 100 to 150kbps both up and down. This doesnt really matter to me however, as im in wifi 99% of the time. The 2g works fine for gps, email and mobile versions of websites. But forget about youtube, or full version website surfing. One thing i havent checked is pandora streaming... might work ok.

I have the international note, and for the most part I get around 256k speeds at best. Depending on where you are located though they have repurposed their 1700 band into their latest hspa+, so if you happen to end up in one of those area data will be really fast. (sorry never ran a speed test with one of those connections) The problem is that is was mainly an experiment and they most likely won't continue not that they are moving to LTE, and the areas with this working are fairly rare.

The signal and speed can drop pretty badly if you're indoors, but I've had a few speed tests at around 60/20 downtown and in East York when I was pulling full bars (Fido/Rogers). It's not the best in my house, but I have Wi-Fi for that.
Edit: I also end up falling back to 3G fairly often, which may be due to either the lack of a signal amplifier or the network which I'm not too familiar with.

Im really starting to notice as i drive all over Florida(im a driver) that it its not holding 4G as well as my Note II...In sensorly it gives you a good idea where LTE is available, hell i logged a bunch of what is seen in Florida and im noticing in light purple areas where I had 4G before i have to now be pretty stationary for the One to lock in to 4G..But the real kick in the sack that has been driving me crazy these passed 2 days is seeing 4G on the phone and start doing something which transmits data it drops 4G and goes back to 3G..Happened at least 7 times today
Quite honestly, I had this issue pretty much with all my Sprint LTE phones, and I had pretty much all of them. Of course some held LTE more than others, but I was still getting frequent drops. Until Sprint moves into the 800 frequency, Holding LTE is going to be a consistent problem.

At 1st I was ready to return the phone because of it but decided it's really not worth it..Central Florida is only at 28% so things should improve once LTE is a little more dense and not so much distance between each tower that has been upgraded..And if i get my panties in a twist I can always go back to the Note II untill more towers are lit up.

Has there ever been a radio update to change this a little higher on any other phone? Dropping to 3G from LTE is killer.. I usually leave my phone in CDMA only in my home town area but I went to a launched area this passed week where the roll out is in the 90% complete zone and it still drops from 4G to 3G a lot..
Just wondering if a radio update has ever fixed an issue like this on any other devices in the past.

It's network and phones that are the issue. First off, it shoildnt be that much of a problem to drop to 3g, as long as the data still works. Buut 3g is worthless usually with no throughput.
Then these HTC phones can't hold on (or wont) to lte for ****, for whatever reason. The iPhone 5, gs3, and 4 all held 4g, and when they dropped it, it quickly moved back up to 4g. This phone, on the other hand, will drop 4g, sit with NO data connection for a while, then connect to worthless 3g while still in a 4g blanketed area.
Then on the LTE topic...I've been waiting and waiting but this crap seems to get slower and slower as time passes. Plenty of times I will get less than 1mbps. Ive been waiting almost 2 years for them to get it together but it seems that it won't be happening. Back to tmobole (<10 mbps always) I go
Sent from my HTCONE using xda app-developers app
Well I keep telling myself I need to try a galaxy but the build of the HTC phones keep luring me in. Maybe with this phone being a more popular model because it is across different carriers unlike the Evo line the devs can find away to adjust the settings of the hardware. It is very annoying when my T-Mobile buddy constantly pulls 15-25 mbps on his speed tests and I look at mine and see 3g icon on top. I know there is lte out there we r 80% complete here

I'm happy with my data speeds and coverage on Sprint. 40-60mbs is nothing to laugh at. Not many places I find don't have LTE anymore. Fast updates and no locked anything is a huge plus. Then you're lucky, because there are still TONS of places that don't have LTE, including major cities. I was in Denver a few weeks ago and still had to make do with 3G just like I do at home. Also, 40-60 mbs is unheard of, even on Verizon and AT&T. My home wifi isn't even that fast. If that figure is even remotely accurate, you're definitely a (very) rare exception rather than the rule.

Idk OP, my service and bandwidth on Sprint's LTE is pretty solid, speaking as a recent convert from Verizon.
Ohh, I remember the good ol' days before Verizon lost their way. I was a Verizon customer during the release of the OG Motorola Droid, and that phone was like a development catalyst. I discovered xda thanks to that phone's development following. Everything I came to love about customizing kernels and roms came from that phone. ****, I remember what now seems like an ancient version of CyanogenMod for that OG Droid. I remember that phone out of the box was underclocked of all things, from 550Mhz down to 450 which made overclocking that thing to a meaty 1ish Ghz seem so beastly at the time lol!
Ahhhh good times :good:
Decent Sprint LTE speeds in College Park, MD
I get decent speeds (15-23 Mb down, 7-10 Mb up) on Sprint in College Park MD according to Speedtest.
Won't the speeds for the Sprint LTE towers drop for an individual once more people start utilizing it? I suspect some people are getting very high speeds because not a lot of Sprint users are tapping into the LTE bandwidth yet?

Close - it was a 600 mhz CPU underclocked to 550 mhz. I remember there were kernels that could overclock the thing all the way to 1.3 ghz. I've still never used another phone that could be overclocked that far past the native clock speed (by percentage, at least). Good times.
