Blurred/Fuzzed/Aura photos

When I first got my Xperia the photos were great! Now just like my Kaiser did, the photos got blurry/fuzzy/aura feel to all of them no matter what software I load or what kind of photo I take.
The solution on the Kaiser was to pop the camera lens "protector" off and all my photos were CLEAR again. I think due to the nature of life my camera lens cover has micro scratches in it causing the camera to be crap.
Has anyone had the same issue and has anyone somehow removed that lens cover?
I have thought about just cutting it out but want to resell the phone in a few months when I get what I really want but in the meantime, I would like to enjoy clear photos.

[Q] Dust inside camera module

Hello there. Some months ago I removed protective len from my X1 camera, because it had some scratches and picture quality was very poor. After that I enjoyed good quality pictures. But today I noticed black spots while using it and then I tried to clean lens, but that didn't help. Now I think that somehow dust got inside XPERIA's camera module. So, is there any way to disassemble camera module and clean another side of lens? Or I need to replace whole camera module?
P.S. Sorry for my poor English.

scratch/crack on cameraprotection

i wonder why my x1 makes blurry pictures with strange lights...now i know, there is a little scratch deep in the Camera Lens Cover..i have taken it out with a little hot needle...now it made better pictures then ever before, but its without protection...does someone knows where i can get a new camera lens cover or is there another solution?
I've just bought a second hand XPERIA X1 and I have had the same expreience at the first time but. After changing the casing, eerythuing is better. Honestly, my very old nokia is better than X1 camera. I wonder it's caused by bad manufactured or the gadget is old

I am not aware of anyone running into this issue before. If you set it on a rough surface or a surface with granules of sand, then that could definitely be the culprit. As far as replacing the lens goes, there is currently no way to get a hold of a replacement lens as far as I know.
If you mean the inside phone part then you'll have to replace the entire camera part. If you mean just the part that you can touch with your finger then you'll need to replace the back glass.
I'm having the same issue, there are some spots on top of the lenses on my phone that won't go away and *all* my photos are have the white color over exposed plus focusing is never sharp enough like other phones, I bought the phone the way it is now and I'm going to replace the back glass to see if it helps.

replaced camera lens cover, now mostly foggy pictures

Alright, I was an idiot and managed to crack my glass camera lens cover. I purchased this : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RKFAZ5I/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and did the replacement, but my pictures appear sort of "hazy" or "foggy" for lack of a better term. I can still get it to focus really well, but the pictures don't pop like they used to.
The only thing I did while replacing that could have caused problems was using compressed air while the old cover was off to ensure none of the shattered glass was left in the actual camera lens mechanism. I made sure to hold the can at an angle so that none of the liquid came out, but i did notice the lens mechanism moving around (almost like a hockey puck) as the air interacted with it. I assumed this sort of free floating lens design had something to do with the optical image stabilization, so it didn't seem like a big deal. I put the new cover on with clean hands and thought everything was fine until I started taking pictures again.
Has anyone replaced the camera lens cover and experienced a similar issue? I've ordered another one to take another shot at it, and I'm actually going to take some test pictures while the cover is removed just to see if I did actually damage the lens itself...
I have the jump protection, but would rather fix it myself than pay 175 for a refurb that I'm going to replace in 4 months anyways.
Why not replace the whole back camera?
I dont know how easy is to remove the lens cover but check if pictures taken without cover are foggy or not. If foggy then camera lens is dirty, if sharp - camera lens cover is a problem.

My guess is it got moisture behind the lense, or the lense was dirty.
When they create that hardware it is sealed in 0% humidity. If it was even a rainy day when you installed the lense, it could have caused it to fog up.

What I did was pull mine back and clean it with some alcohol and a q-tip
Is there a part number for that?

Thanks, might give that a shot if it doesn't clear up with the next lens cover.
Did you peel the plastics on both sides of the lens cover? Also check if it's actually focusing. Maybe slap the phone and see if it refocuses. Afterall there are moving parts in there.
Is there a genuine saphire lens cover to buy anywhere? I to used the cheap replacement cover and my pictures are blurry and bad in bright light. My camera itself should be fine though.
