thanks i read tons of reviews and still cant decide because one has better freq and the other has this remote+mic and i dont know how is it important that the klipsch has freq upto 19k...
For me, buying without hearing, is nonsense Advice: go to store with your phone and try to lesson various hp. Remember - 19k this is maximum freq., most people doesn't hear up to 16k, especially older people. 19k, 108 db - these are only numbers.
There are Android specific s4a coming soon if you can hold out. http://www.klipsch.com/image-S4A-headphones
Edit: I had some s4 and lost them. I'm going to get these to replace when they finally release. I recommend these to go with them: http://www.complyfoam.com/products/Tx-100/

I agree with this. Highly suggest that you wait for these earbuds to come out as they support volume control unlike any other ones.

No they don't. Volume buttons don't work at all, and the remote is iffy, sometimes double click will register and skip to the next song, sometimes not, sometimes it will pause it. Skipping back to previous obviously doesn't work at all. If you want a remote, wait or look elsewhere, these are great sounding headphones, but remote is useless on Android.

I use the sennheiser, too and they were totally awesome.
The Klipsch S4A are out in the retail channel. Picked up a pair the other day. All is now right with the world again. Using them with comply foam tips. Having more control with the remote is nice. I've used volume a couple times already. Obviously they sound just as great as the others in the S4 line. recommend.
as another member was mention that high freq the one goes up to you wont hear probably( and if you did probably wouldnt sound good either) look and see which one has the lowest freq since that will be the pair with better bass

Hi - have you now had the opportunity to spend more time with the S4A headphones?
Is the remote control fully functional? Klipsch has a disclaimer on their product page that it doesn't work properly with many Samsung Galaxy line phones such as the S2 and the Captivate.
They do not mention the Nexus S though.
I plan on getting a pair with the remote control being a big draw..
Thanks.

but share your experience after 2 weeks or so. becouse when you get something new, its always cool ... after a while you will see that maybe its not so useful you thought.
Think it would be more useful if it wasn't for the capacitive-style buttons. With proper clickables, it could serve well as a pocketed remote control for music. As it is now, you have to pull "something" out of your pocket to swap tracks... and that "something" might just as well be your phone.
Been thinking about getting one myself, but for the purpose of swapping tracks, cyanogenmod does the trick by fiddling with volume/camera buttons.
are you realy listening musik from your phone! because i need to charge it daily and i even dont whatch movies or like that. i think this phone is just good be stylish and maybe to spend time with playing some games! ;(
This thing is very useful. I use it to check text messages when I'm in school And my phone seems to last longer cuz the screen isn't on as much

Sold my mp4 because of that phone. I don't like to carry so many devices as my friend (Milestone 2 + iPhone + iPod Touch + another mp4 player), one phone is great for me and I really listen to the music all day rly!
And I'm interested in buying LV because of the power of that small device. Music control, wristwatch, facebook, notes, reading messages...
its upto the person as to how useful you would find the item to be fair, I'm quite happy just taking my phone out of my pocket and using it that way... lol but its each to their own preference. Sony released a watch based phone product before i think, and that never really "took off"
This app works in a very similar way to DSP manager except this can go much louder!
This application is priced at £1.25 on the Android Market but is (and always will be) available for free on here and on my website.
Android Market Link
It currently includes a Speaker Volume Boost and a Bass Enhancer, with more features planned.
Due to the fact that different mobile companies make different quality speakers, this app with sound very different depending on the phone it's being used on. For example, it sounds pretty bad on the Nexus One because the Nexus has a terrible speaker. It might sound better on other phones, i dunno.
The regular Disclaimer applies (see app discription, or disclaimer in the app).
Enjoy
I'll give this a run with the Droid X on GB and let you know the results.
it says all phones but does it work with lg p500 ?
How About a NC?
Anyone know / tried this on a Nook Color running CM7?
It should work on all phones which are running Gingerbread (2.3)
Does it need Root-Access?
I'll have to test this out. Thanks
Sounds great
Is there any risk of outwearing ones' speaker using this kind of apps?
Maybe there is no instant sign of it, but in time it might just get noticeable..
Does anyone have experience with this?
give it a try later..
Amazing on Inspire 4G!
using this on nscolab with voodoo sound and it works great !!! so much louder however anything above +3 comes out distorted like hell but even +3 is well loud !

Indeed. Since the Inspire normally has subpar volume, this app fixes the problem and offers more juice than what I needed. Perfect for those important alarms I need to respond too.

I just got a SGS3 and I'm keeping my SGS for now. Any thoughts on some cool or useful things I could do with it now that I have my SGS3? I'm willing to try almost anything but I haven't thought of anything that I can't just do with my SGS3. I'll probably try put Jellybean on the SGS before I try it on the SGS3.
One idea is maybe use it for a webcam. I don't have a webcam right now so is there I way I can use the rear camera as a PC webcam?
Throw out some ideas. Keep in mind I don't have a data plan or voice plan for it anymore but wifi is an option still.
Thanks!

Why don't you donate it to a hardworking dev? I'm sure they could do something useful with the second phone.
The good first gen single core phones are starting to go off plan and turn up second hand. I picked up a Galaxy S Epic Sprint (the one with slider keyboard) last week at my favorite pawnshop for $60 mint, to mess with and use as a mini tablet. Apparently either the prior owner didn't deactivate it, or with Sprint (no sim card) once activated the phone works fine on wifi. First did factory reset, then rooted, now everything including GPS seems to work (other than the phone and cel data of course, at some point I'll install a Google Voice solution).
I'm using it as a middle of the night reader with a screen dimmer app. My wife has been bothered by the bigger screen lighting of the NC, so something smaller helps. Its a pretty good ereader/podcast player for this purpose. Lots of reader/news apps seem optimized for its WVGA screen, some have night mode. And I put a couple of games on it for the kids to use in the car instead of giving them my real phone.
Now I need to figure out something to do with the slider keyboard. Thinking maybe a remote keyboard app for the PC, anybody recommend an android app that will convert a slider keyboard to a remote computer keyboard through a network?
Hi,

Regards,
I'd say put it away somewhere safe in case something happens to the S3 and you need a backup phone. That's what I'm planning to do with mine. My Galaxy S will be a backup and would be the one I would take on long hikes cause I won't be too bothered if I drop it, although I've kept it in mint condition.

Otherwise, I'd always planned that whenever I upgrade, I'd likely keep it for its amazing audio quality from its Wolfson DAC and Voodoo Sound; it's hands down the best portable music player I've owned. Plus, there was a good article on Lifehacker a ways back about people keeping older smartphones and iPod Touches with Skype on it to use as a 'house phone'.

Yes. But you need to make an app for that. The IR app can record the database but there's no UI to use it.
As the Siv also got IR-blaster I'd think quite a few IR-apps should pop-up pretty soon.

I hope so. Can't believe it's taken this long to bring IR back to hand held devices.
The remote app can learn. Add a new remote, teach it the AC remote codes and see what happens?
Pretty sure this year will see a whole bunch of competing IR blaster apps being released.

Going back about 20 years, I had a Casio remote control watch. At the time this was a very new and novel concept. A couple of fun stories
1) I was in a shopping mall. There was a TV in the window. I was with my friend and I told him loudly "With my mind I am going to switch off this TV. Focus ....focus....". Then without being obvious, I pressed the button to switch off the TV. A woman was watching me and was so freaked out she went running away down the mall.
2) A hi-fi store had a big 50" (this was very big 20 years ago) front projection TV. They were playing the Lion King cartoon. It was about 11pm at night. I turned the sound up to max, and still couldn't hear much so I thought, oh well, nevermind. Walked about 20 seconds and then suddenly heard a loud lion "roooooaaaarrrr" coming from the shop. Needless to say, I just left it like that
The HTC One media app can learn new IR controls. You select device not in list, and then proceed to point your existing remote at the phone and tell it what each button you press does, and it learns them and can then push those controls out. I'm using it to control my Air Conditioning, TV, Satellite box, and even my projector at work, none of which are known devices, it had to learn them all. It's very clever and extremely easy to set up.

I managed to manually sync my school projector remotes. It's so amazing, but still the air con doesn't work.. :l
I'm getting the same too. Doesn't work for the temperature control either. I think this has to do with the fact that the remote transmits more than a simple "ON" command. It transmits the parameters like fan and temperature.

Try this App. I have nearly the same stripe, i've teached the Power-Button and it works. Will upload the other keys in the next hew hours. Of course it is a bit tricky, because you can't enter a name for the key, and there are just a few predifined ones which are logical. But "power" should be clear, and the rest is try&error.
You can find my commands at:
vendor: "in-akustik LED"
model: "A-Art LED RGB"
type: "Air Conditioning"
Maybe they will work for you.

I purchased one of these but it's definitely not with-out issues. I've done some reading and see that someone has installed Malaysk's software on an older model and it fixed several issues including audio quality and speed. It's been years since I've last performed a root, firmware and rom installation.

I've this unit for 2 weeks now
I have MTCD_WWW_2.59_1
7.1.2
Had some issues with FM (sound is mute every couple seconds), and Eonon send me an update.
The new firmware did a good job for the FM issues, it's better, but not solved.
The new MTCD version is now WWW_2.62_1
But after the update the unit is not long in standby, max 5 minutes... after that its completely off...
They're investigating it now, hope to hear soon.
They are willing to help, like it.

I actually just bought this couple weeks ago..
After several issues with payments, where they asked for my drivers license to verify my credit card, after already charging my credit card.. After denying them my "life-long" identification, I was forced to complete the transaction through PayPal..
Overall, I have already lost about $10 CAD after the refund.
However, I just received my package yesterday and set up just the head unit. I still yet have to finish the GPS, Dash Cam and Reverse Cam.
So far, the WiFi isn't all that great and the Bluetooth is pretty limited in terms of connecting to things other than a phone.
(Tried with a Bluetooth keyboard, won't work)
FM Radio does sometimes mute randomly for a second or more.
I will keep in touch on this forum and hope we can workout our issues together.
P.S.
I'm a computer science student, so I know my code.. just need more familiarization with this specific android product.

I think the FM problem has something todo with the signal strength. In the little town where I live, we've bad signal, the FM is muting every couple seconds for one second. Last Sunday I was on the highway for 2 hours, without any problems....

I can post the link you sent me if you would like? Or we could post it over on the MTCD forums as well.
Yah the FM issue may be due to signal strength, but I do not understand why it gets muted instead of just getting static.

I was gonna purchase this exact unit for my GF and was wondering if you could tell me the build, version, MTCD XXX, etc info from it, I would really appreciate it! I currently have a MTCD XRC 7.1.2 August 15th in my Audi and was wondering how things compared.
Thanks!

I don't see the MCU for our unit on their as other's have posted, the MCU is 'WWW'
Would be really nice to get some better software on this machine as Eonon's software is garbage.

I did get it, thanks so much bro! The head unit arrived today for my GF as well, it looks pretty nice, but I have not installed it yet.
I can post the link you sent me if you would like? Or we could post it over on the MTCD forums as well.
Yah the FM issue may be due to signal strength, but I do not understand why it gets muted instead of just getting static.

I notice this issue when streaming audio with Pandora or Soundcloud. Sometimes it stops after a while. Not sure if it's a software or streaming issue.
One thing to note is if you have the Bose system, there is a 6" or so cable with a black box that needs to be plugged into the main stereo cluster going into the car (since the bose system already has an amp.) The mids & lows are horrible with the Eonon unit... I messed around with it for a couple days before I realized that the Eonon equalizer is just garbage. Install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.desaxedstudios.bassbooster&hl=en and use that equalizer.... But don't bother enabling the bass boosting function. The equalizer is all you need to have near factory bose audio.
The bass boost equalizer app has to be launched every time you re-start the car to fix the audio quality.

Hope to hear more from you. Interesting that I'm not the only person having issues with the audio cutting in and out. Starting to regret this purchase honestly. I might ask Eonon for additional help (which we may never really get) and I plan on doing a detailed video review about the unit and customer service once this journey is over.

Malayask just released his new ROM for our units, going to be testing it soon! I just hope I can switch the launchers because I am not a fan of his stock choice.

Please share a link to your video review in the event you do one. I recently got a 2013 Mazda 3 and this unit seems very interesting (moreso with the prospect of custom ROM support), but there doesn't seem to be much detailed info or reviews online for it. I'm definitely keeping my eye on this thread.
Honestly the quality of this machine isn't that good. It's unreliable and eonon doesn't care.

That's a shame. Seems like a unit with real potential.
