Phone will not boot in to recorvery - Motorola Droid and Milestone Q&A, Help & Troublesh

I have tried through rom manager, power options, and holding the power and x button. Every way I see the white m then it just boots up. I am running cm7 7.0.3

I've had the same problem before. Just follow these steps and you'll be in recovery within 5 minutes.
1 - boot phone normally
2 - click on the Rom Manager app
3 - go to the bottom of the list and hit the option to flash an alternate recovery
4 - reboot the phone normally
(just as a precaution. you can skip this step if you'd like. If you do skip step 5)
5 - repeat step 2
6 - flash clockworkmod recovery
7 - reboot into recovery
If you still have problems, post back here and I'll do what I can to help you

Hi!
i can't boot into recovery (the phone reboot and normal boot) and if i boot in download mode i can't flash anything with odin, it stops in "VerifyPlatform:V0, P0,R0."

And what have you pressed for coming there?
Here is described how to get in recovery. Have you tried that?

I'm also not get to recovery easily, I press DOWN+MENU+POWER but unlike the guides i need (after the phone reboot and i see the samsung galaxy logo) to press and release, press and release the POWER button and sometimes i got to the recovery and sometimes don't.
On 9001 you hold volume up, keep it pressed and switch on the device (press only 1 sec). After 5-7 sec you can release the volume button. If you have already CWM, you don't need to press any other button. If you still have stock recovery, then press menu button (not home!) only once when you see the box.

If you have a CWM is installed, and does not work - you can set a new Terminal_Emulator recovery.img, Tekt enter:
su
dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
After executing these commands will pop icon in a terminal window $

Can we go back to complete stock on the Droid 4?

Is there a way to go back to a completely stock Droid 4 , sort of the way it came out of the box? I am getting frustrated with this phone and just want to reset it back to complete stock before I did any of the rooting, etc.

Download the Droid 4 fatsboot files here:
Link
1 Download the fastboot .zip files above
2 Download and install RSDLite 5.7
3 Download and install the Motorola USB Drivers
4 Power off your phone
5 Hold the volume up, volume down, and power buttons at the same time until you see the bootloader menu
6 Use the volume down button to navigate to "Recovery" then use the volume up button to select it
7 When you see the android/triangle, press both volume buttons together
8 Select "wipe data/factory reset" and on the next screen select "Yes -- delete all user data"
9 Once it's finished, select "reboot system now" then immediately press both volume buttons until you see the bootloader menu
10 Connect your phone to your PC via USB
11 Use the volume down button to navigate to "AP Fastboot" then use the volume up button to select it
12 Open RSDLite, press the "..." button at the top, and select the fastboot image .zip file
13 Select "Decompress And Start Flashing" and wait for the process to finish (it will take around 20-30 minutes)
14 Once the process is complete, your device should function normally
Thanks for the steps! Definitely a good list to have when considering ROMs.
I don't know if anyone else has had this issue, but I went back to stock everything, reflashed with RSD, and the entire process is seemingly complete, except that the phone is currently stuck in a state where it says "Android is upgrading..." "Starting Applications". It has been this way for a solid 20 minutes. This is definitely NOT something I've ever experienced before.
For the record, I am flashing the .7.2-180_DR4-16_M2-37 Blur_Version.6.16.217.XT894.Verizon.en.US. This was the build on my phone before safestrap/custom ROM's/etc. I wanted to flash back to stock so I flashed the same ICS version.

Struck at recovery black screen

Hi Guys,
I'm using Paranoid 4.6 beta5 i tried using power + vol up + home button to enter into the recovery mode but it just displayed a black screen. Now the crazy thing I did was I downloaded reboot to recovery app and used it and ever since then i am struck at the black screen i see samsung logo and then just black screen no paranoid boot animation what do i do now ?
Solution:
If someone falls in the same boat here's how i resolved it i connected the usb to my pc and did i restart which made it reboot in safe mode then i unplugged it and did a reboot from the power button and voila everything is back to normal
You need to flash a kernel or stock ROM in PC Odin and get recovery back
Sent from my GT-I9205 using Tapatalk
Try this:
I didn't experience any data loss but cant guarantee anything.
1. Download this http://d-h.st/HJM
2. Flash with PC Odin (Add via PDA button and make sure ONLY Auto reboot is checked)
3. Wait till completed
4. Boot into recovery (Which will now be CWM)
5. Do a factory reset and wipe cache and dalvik cache
6. Reboot
7. Enjoy
8. Smash my thanks button (Please.....)
Note: You will now be on Gingerbread 2.3.5 Rooted + CWM, and you're good to go.

NO OS?? Cant get back into recovery(TWRP)

Hi, I was flashing the Empora ROM this evening and followed the instructions exactly.
My Phone will not power on and when I try to into recovery I get this instead.
Warning!!
"A custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications.
If you want to download a custom OS, press the volume up key.
Otherwise press volume down to cancel.''
When I press up it puts me in download mode and down I get stuck in a black screen.
Not sure what I did wrong but any help would be greatly appreciated to get back into TWRP and at least restore my back up.
Thank you
Do you have the latest bootloader and modem? If not, Odin the latest oem ROM first.
1. Pull the battery out for 30 sec.
2. Put battery back in, power up in Download mode
3. Odin the correct TWRP to the phone
4. boot to TWRP, flash Empora ROM.
5. Reboot and wait 15 mins, enjoy.

Stuck in twrp logo note 9

Hello,
I have flashed twrp over Odin and it works well, flashed custom room too, everything was super fine but after i restart the phone
Got stuck in twrp logo
Can't go to download mode or boot to system either.
Tried to hard restart power + vol - then after restart press power vol - bixby but same issue.
Download mode won't launch neither recovery.
Picture of the problem in the attachment
Please any solution?
first you flashed the wrong version of twrp according to your attachment, in my opinion you have to reflash everything and you can follow this tutorial and I hope it helps you

Sorry but i don't think it'll boot first time or even i could flash custom rom from it if the recovery wasn't compatible.
After the twrp everything was fine, and i got access to twrp recovery and flash custom room without any problems.
First bot was fine, but after 2 consecutive restarts
This issue occurred .
And can't make it to download mode now, so I can't flash stock or anything.
I mean the correct version to flash android 13 it is twrp v 3 7 0 9 0 if not the phone hangs at twrp logo.
now to put back on download mode you have to do this manipulation
1/ connect your phone to your pc with the USB cable then press bixbi and power (between 5 and 7 seconds) and when the phone goes black at this moment don't let go of bixbi and power you have to press the volume button -
I hope it will go.
