When I try to stream videos from a link from an internet page that requires a password (not sure if that has anything to do with it) i get an error saying "access is denied" in WMP. I get an error as well when i try to stream videos inside the browser too, but I cant remember if its the same.
I'm sure the site works and the videos are fine, cause i can browse them on PC, so I'm thinking its a problem with WMP. I downloaded a torrent of core player, and that didnt work either (in the short time i had it) so i dont know whats up.
Any help is useful.
Thanks
Does anyone know why TCPMP will not open when accessing mobile Youtube videos? When I try to open a link at m.youtube the stock HTC "Steaming Media" player always opens.
I have:
-a HTC S730
-WM6
-TCPMP Ver. .72RC1
-Installed FLV Plugin 0.4.2
-Associated Files-Flash Video, MMS Protocol, Mpeg, HTTP, AIF, M3U, NSV, OGG, Matroska, Musepack and PLS -and at one point all files
-Done a soft reset
-uninstalled and reinstalled both TCPMP and the plugin
I expect that the TCPMP would open...?? Please correct me if Im wrong.
The reason I want to use the TCPMP player vs the Streaming Media player is that the Streaming Media player has poor A/V quality and Im hoping TCPMP will improve it. Thanks.
You might want to take a look in This thread, might help.
Thanks for the reply. Ive read through the tread, different problem.
Ive downloaded the files and followed the instructions @ ytpocket again. Still opening files with Streaming Media..!!!! Its driving me nuts.
Hmm, if no one has responded by time I wake up i'll take a peak into it I never really use You Tube on my phone and if I do I find the default to be sufficient.
In the mean time double check all the menu options in it to see if you can change the default association, I know you mentioned associated files but the program needs to tell the OS that it will take over instead of the other, this might be accomplished with a simple registry change but again not sure.
I am using one of Dutty's cooked roms for my Tilt and it comes pre-loaded with "HTC Streaming Media Player" and I have downloaded and installed TCPMP player and I have used resco file explorer to associate all files with youtube video extensions to be default opened by TCPMP but when I click on a link on youtube to play a video the HTC player keeps comming up I have even done the registry edit for the default program and it is set to TCPMP and I have done a soft reset still not working any ideas? Yes the flash plugin for TCPMP is installed and working. I have also defined default applications to open just about every file extension. Thanks guys
Here are some instructions to do what i think you're trying to do:
http://ytpocket.com/install.php
But if you're lazy like me, just install youtubeplay
Hello the program "mobile Streaming" is preset with the rtsp://
I tried this one to stream rtsp://mobilstream.antenne.de/antenne.sdp and it fails allways to connect.
I thought the rstp is a real player thing. SO what exactly is the application mobile streaming try to do ? Anybody knows more about it ? IS this a real player aplication, and if so why not working if not why is it preset with rstp.
Thanks
I'm no geek but I think it may be all about the file being streamed.
I have had no problems with CorePlayer, HTC own Streaming Media and VLC.
One thing that I have been doing is emailing the stream info to my mobile from my PC and saving .pls files to the mobile.
The only thing I do with realplayer is to get live bbc london radio from the .ram, hope the above helps.
Your rtsp link just don't work. It's either firewall or a router problem, but not of the player.
What does the player do ?
Well it supports rtsp protocol to read H264/AAC (and maybe other) files.
Please note this has NOTHING to do with a real application.
These protocol and codecs are fully standarized, and are the most commonly used ones. (I'd say it's the only proper way to stream actually.)
