can some one please help me i don't know why i'm having random reboot on my phone, specially when i'm in a zone were theirs only one or two bars on my phone, here is my alogcat its pretty big ,thanks
If you're with tmobile try a new Sim card
Does it reboot when you have it on 2g only?
yea I have t mobile, and i have a sim card that is only 7 moths old, so i think is not the sim card. did you read the alogcat, cause i don't understand it..lol
My sim card wasn't that old either and I too was skeptical at first. A new sim card solved my problems and also for many others.

Thanks bro, will try it as soon as I get a new one, I hope that's the issue.

This is def a Newb question
As the title mentions I have 2 G1s but only 1 Sim Card that has a data plan.
Is it allright for me to use my sim card in both G1s so that maybe one of the them i can test out a Hero rom, and keep the other one with a Cyanogen one?
Or will T-Mobile see the IMEI of the phone is different than the one "paired" with my SIM card, and thus not grand the 3g service?
would it be a problem for me to go back and fourth between the 2 phones?
thanks for any response!
You should be ok with doing that. When I go fishing I take my SIM card and put it in a samsung beat phone cause I couldn't care less if that one gets wet.
I've had about 3 different HD7's now and they are easily my favorite phone but, they all have had a similar problem. They always reboot randomly. Sometimes it's when I plug them in and they restart whenever they feel like it. Sometimes I'll be using it and sometimes it will just be sitting there doing nothing. Two of them were not rooted, running stock. My latest one has been rooting and is running the "Dynamics 2.0" ROM. Any idea on what this might be? Thanks!
Same problem... but solved...
But give me more details, I have a HD7 T-Mobile, and this happens because of the SIM card, if your phone is a T-Mobile... are you using a Non TMo SIM? my HD7 only reboots at random when I use a SIM other than a 1900MHz, the same frequency that T-Mobile uses, of course they work when some condition happen... They only work when I use a Pre-NODO ROM, once I get Mango, BOOM! reboots again.
This is my case, of course I put a SIM that belongs to a carrier that uses 1900MHz and no problem with mango, no reboots or anything.
I'm here to help, just give me more info...
Sorry I'm not very good with details, but yes it's a T-Mobile SIM.

I "fixed" this issue when I disassemble the HD7 to remove and installed a 4GB class 6 microSD, I tested and didn't reboot for the whole day...
Then I put back the 16GB class 4 (the stock memory) and no reboots after that... I wonder if it was the memory that was "loose".
I hope this works for you.
Now the HD7 is with my father, and he enjoys the HD7 music player...
This is weird...
i got 2 weeks ago a new galaxy s2 att and used fine for a week with a standard straight talk sim card that i cut myself to fit the micro sim port...
it worked fine for a week calls, internet message, media message, everything.
i was charging the phone on the wall one day and when i get it to make a phone call i noticed not sim card inserted error...
i cleaned contact reinserted nothing....i put in my wife phone sim card is perfect.
i sent my galaxy out for repair at the same time i got this great deal on craiglist an atrix hd for $100...
I inserted the same sim card and everything was fine untill yesterday....i got sim card not inserted error...ohmygod i said please dont tell me....
reset phone cleaned contacts nothing ......
My question is can a sim card damage the phone?
Both phone were rooted
Both phones were att provider using straight talk service
Both phones were 4g
I removed from both phones the att junk
Any of this they may have somehow locked the sim card port or damaged it?
It can not be a coincidence any expert can get a good answer?
I'm going crazy
I had the same problem back when I had my One X and my brother had the same problem with his Atrix HD because we cut down our SIM Cards. After I got an official Micro SIM the problem stopped. When you cut your own Micro SIM you stand the chance of trimming off too much. Even if its only a small amount it can still cause the SIM to move around which causes the connection loss.

You are not crazy , you just lack good logical reasoning . The common thing is the sim . I have no idea why you would send your phone for repair when the other sim worked perfectly . If sim port was damaged , it wouldn't have worked with any sim . Get a new sim , report the old one as lost . Ask for micro sim as the replacement or cut it with a micro sim cutter ( Available at most service providers cust service centers or buy one from ebay , they are cheap ) .

That's true , cutting with scissors can be tricky . However I cut my SIM with a micro sim cutter and everything is perfect for the past 2 months . Even if you go to some customer service center (atleast here ) , they do the same cutting with a micro sim cutter . I find the whole filling the application with giving my ID proof again and then getting the active connection in another 24hrs on the replaced micro sim very tedious .
I use microsim cutter which I bought only about 5$. It works perfectly. I can even use the cutting side to cover the microsim as mini sim again.
thanx friends, your answers gimme some hope that in fact is the sim card that does not make good contact.
still cant explain why when i insert other sim card inactive the phones wont read them at all...(.like this is another provider enter unlock code)
just i wish somebody of the experts here can assure me that the sim card can not damage the fone or lock it.
(of course i'm not talking physical damage at the pin point)
thanx
Hello everyone,
Although I found lots of similar posts, I couldn't find solution for problem I have. Last year I bought HTC Raider (originaly on Rogers) on e-bay. Phone was unlocked, my SIM card (provider is Tele2 Croatia) worked perfectly in it. January 10th this year I've changed provider to T-mobile Croatia and when I tried to use their SIM card - my phone is constantly rebooting. It is not rooted or using custom ROM or anything like that. I've tried to contact HTC services in Croatia but their answer is that they cannot help me because HTC Raider is not sold in Europe. I am really stuck here, so you guys are my last hope. I am willing to donate money to anyone who can give me solution which works.
Thanks.
If you take out the sim card (or use the old sim card) and turn the phone on, does it work normally? If so, i'm more confused. Otherwise, your boot partition might have gotten messed up somehow, in which case you would either want to re-flash the boot.IMG from the stock ROM, or use htc's RUU (try that first).

If I use old sim card everything is fine. Meanwhile, I did S-off, root and put Holics ROM, but same thing happens. What I have noticed, when old sim card is inside, preferred network is set on GSM/WDCMA/LTE, somehow I managed to open phone info with T-mobile sim inserted and preferred network was set to CDMA + LTE/EvDo Auto. I couldn't change that manually because there is not enough time between resets.

OK... You somehow have a radio issue... Your Sim card seems to think its for a different style phone...
Methinks you should ask T-Mobile why your Sim card is doing that...
This phone is for GSM networks...
You may have to tell them that...

Ok, today I went to T-mobile and told them that. Their explanation was that problem is in the phone, not in SIM card. They said other providers in Croatia don't have 4g network and they do. Essentially they said there is nothing they can do about it. My last option is to ask is it possible to remove CDMA from phone completely by deleting files or something like that?

OK, problem is solved. What I did:
Installed wahjee desensed rom - phone was still rebooting with t-mobile sim
I was ready to give up so I did oem lock and installed stock rom through sd card so I can sell it...
Then I decided to try just once more and inserted t-mobile sim... And voila! It works... Perfectly. No reboots any more... Now I'm really confused... But I don't care... As long as it works )

Huh! Well good for you! If you ever install another rom on there, let us know if the same thing happens again (or of it doesn't).

Hi guys, been trying to figure out what went wrong.. I'm on a unlocked T-Mobile note 5 using on ATT. Already on marshmallow, was trying out a couple of international roms which were working fine. Last thing I did right before I got the "Invalid SIM card/ Network locked SIM card inserted" notification was the security hack to bypass exchange thru Xtouchwiz xposed app. My sim is working fine on another phone so can't be sim. Anyone here have any suggestions? Thank you..

I've had this as a random problem. I changed my sim a couple of times for a new one and it seems to be ok for the last few weeks. I also added a bit of stick paper to the sim to hold it in place which seemed to work for a bit! I put it down to faulty sim cards and a highly sensitive phone.

Yeah I replaced the sim as well but no go. I called tmobile and they said that the phone was unlocked temporarily which sounds funny to me. Never heard of unlocking for just a period of time. So of course they said they would need to speak to the original owner of phone in order to unlock again. Obviously I'm the owner now the phone is not reported lost or stolen or blacklisted. I just think they don't want to help me because I don't have an account with them.

Most likely your phone is locked via the "Device Unlock App". If T-Mobile doesn't want to unlock your phone you can try this service:
https://www.unlockradar.com/service/t-mobile-usa-device-unlock-app-official-unlock.
Please mak sure to read the detailed instructions.
