[Q] HTC Raider Bootloop - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Hello everyone,
Although I found lots of similar posts, I couldn't find solution for problem I have. Last year I bought HTC Raider (originaly on Rogers) on e-bay. Phone was unlocked, my SIM card (provider is Tele2 Croatia) worked perfectly in it. January 10th this year I've changed provider to T-mobile Croatia and when I tried to use their SIM card - my phone is constantly rebooting. It is not rooted or using custom ROM or anything like that. I've tried to contact HTC services in Croatia but their answer is that they cannot help me because HTC Raider is not sold in Europe. I am really stuck here, so you guys are my last hope. I am willing to donate money to anyone who can give me solution which works.
Thanks.

If you take out the sim card (or use the old sim card) and turn the phone on, does it work normally? If so, i'm more confused. Otherwise, your boot partition might have gotten messed up somehow, in which case you would either want to re-flash the boot.IMG from the stock ROM, or use htc's RUU (try that first).

If I use old sim card everything is fine. Meanwhile, I did S-off, root and put Holics ROM, but same thing happens. What I have noticed, when old sim card is inside, preferred network is set on GSM/WDCMA/LTE, somehow I managed to open phone info with T-mobile sim inserted and preferred network was set to CDMA + LTE/EvDo Auto. I couldn't change that manually because there is not enough time between resets.

OK... You somehow have a radio issue... Your Sim card seems to think its for a different style phone...
Methinks you should ask T-Mobile why your Sim card is doing that...
This phone is for GSM networks...
You may have to tell them that...

Ok, today I went to T-mobile and told them that. Their explanation was that problem is in the phone, not in SIM card. They said other providers in Croatia don't have 4g network and they do. Essentially they said there is nothing they can do about it. My last option is to ask is it possible to remove CDMA from phone completely by deleting files or something like that?

OK, problem is solved. What I did:
Installed wahjee desensed rom - phone was still rebooting with t-mobile sim
I was ready to give up so I did oem lock and installed stock rom through sd card so I can sell it...
Then I decided to try just once more and inserted t-mobile sim... And voila! It works... Perfectly. No reboots any more... Now I'm really confused... But I don't care... As long as it works )

Huh! Well good for you! If you ever install another rom on there, let us know if the same thing happens again (or of it doesn't).

[q] lg revolution 4g unlocked

Has anyone ever seen the one click unlock or the unlock codes to get this phone to use another companys sim card... Ive checked all over and cannot fund anthing please let me know
Which company that uses the same frequencies that Verizon does were you hoping to use your phone on?
I've never heard of a Verizon phone that you could unlock... Well, except maybe their quad-band "world phones". I've had Verizon for years and this is the first with a sim card. I'm not sure, but I think the sim is just for access to their lte "4g" network, wich is of course probably just different enough from atts lte to not be interchangeable there either.
The sim card gives access to the network in general. Without the Revo is useless. I tried to take out my sim to save battery and not use my 4G radio before I relieve I could turn it off. Also, for OP I don't think there is a way because of how the phone works. Then again, I'm not a dev so I could be completely wrong.
the sim card in the revo is just for the lte access and is phone dependent it will fry its self if put in a different phone. also just a quick side note i guess verizon is moving to sim cards too (from what i heard from an associate on the phone the other day).

Yes. The SIM card cannot be unlocked and this phone will never be able to be used on a different carrier.

D3 JB Airplane Mode issue. ***SOLVED WITH SOLUTION***

******UPDATE****** CDMA for verizon works when ANY Sim card is inserted. Just figured that out thanks to Jason Roach
Heyya , I just flashed 2 roms onto my d3 with the new 3.0 safestrap , and both of them are the new JB roms. The only issue I'm having is BOTH of these roms have the airplane mode stuck on , so whenever I try and make a call to activate etc , i get a message that its in airplane mode. But wifi works fine..any ideas?

I have the same issue. You can actually watch the radio turning on and off.
The thread above is in droid 3 general,it is where hash is collecting all the feedback for the Kexec builds.

This patch solved it on my xt860 http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?baxwqfwr0gzf6zb
Any Ideas?
Had this problem at first and after cleaning the gold contacts on my sim card and on the phone with an pencil eraser and pushing down on the silver sim card holder so it holds the card tighter to the contacts all has worked perfect on the the new builds
I want to add that I was having the issue of no sim card detected on my stock ROM sometimes but the phone would work as it should and after doing this I'm not seeing that problem anymore when I boot up stock which is mav 4.0 btw

I don't need one either, on vzw as well but if I take out the sim card I get that problem on kexec ROMs . My d3 came with a sim card when I bought it from vzw, did yours not?

OK I just double checked and when I remove my sim card kexec roms do NOT have signal on ss3. Airplain mode switches on and off and I have no signal at all, so I guessing you need a sim card for kexec to pull info off of it to load up your radio settings

So If I have an old SIM card , like from AT&T or something , all I have to do is put it in and CDMA will work??
Just popped an AT&T card in there and its working now.....Odd..
Thanks for the knowledge, yes it did but pulled out before I powered up for the first time with it and now I seem to have misplaced it. Haha.
I think that this is probably a minor bug in the JB Kexec builds that wont get looked at until Hash gets all the major stuff worked out ie: sleep/battery issues and HD codecs
no problem hope it helps some people

I did not have a sim card, so I bought one on ebay for a $1 for 'simple mobile', cheapest I could find
still could not get it to work, so I bought a sim unlock code for $4
now cm10 cdma works
I popped in my T-Mobile sim card and it works perfectly. Thank you for the tips. I almost wanted to sell this to get an Incredible 2 instead, but I'll happily keep this phone now.

I tried that patch on my ME863 (HK retail) and it didn't help. Where'd that libmoto_ril.so come from? Is it worth trying to drop the one from my ME863 OTA-updated image in-place? Or does it need to be from a newer Android release?

Constant reboot that happens randomly?

I've had about 3 different HD7's now and they are easily my favorite phone but, they all have had a similar problem. They always reboot randomly. Sometimes it's when I plug them in and they restart whenever they feel like it. Sometimes I'll be using it and sometimes it will just be sitting there doing nothing. Two of them were not rooted, running stock. My latest one has been rooting and is running the "Dynamics 2.0" ROM. Any idea on what this might be? Thanks!
Same problem... but solved...
But give me more details, I have a HD7 T-Mobile, and this happens because of the SIM card, if your phone is a T-Mobile... are you using a Non TMo SIM? my HD7 only reboots at random when I use a SIM other than a 1900MHz, the same frequency that T-Mobile uses, of course they work when some condition happen... They only work when I use a Pre-NODO ROM, once I get Mango, BOOM! reboots again.
This is my case, of course I put a SIM that belongs to a carrier that uses 1900MHz and no problem with mango, no reboots or anything.
I'm here to help, just give me more info...
Sorry I'm not very good with details, but yes it's a T-Mobile SIM.

I "fixed" this issue when I disassemble the HD7 to remove and installed a 4GB class 6 microSD, I tested and didn't reboot for the whole day...
Then I put back the 16GB class 4 (the stock memory) and no reboots after that... I wonder if it was the memory that was "loose".
I hope this works for you.
Now the HD7 is with my father, and he enjoys the HD7 music player...

Issue with SIM on SM-N900W8 Rogers

So I bought a new galaxy note 3 SM-N900W8 from some guy I met of of kijiji/Craigslist. It was sealed and brand new. Now I put my rogers Sim in it an it worked. He told me it was an upgrade from the carrier. It isn't stolen or anything and I even check the imei with samsung amd also with Rogers.
So the phone was working for about week and than all of a sudden the network was not recognized anymore amd now I cannot connect to the Rogers network.
I have not rooted the phone and I have not done anything else. The APN setting are all set up properly and also the phone says cannot connect try again later when I try to connect with the Rogers Network.
I called samsung and they said the phone is the international one but I highly doubt it because the guy sounded like he didn't know much. How could it suddenly stop working on the network out of no where?
Also I called back again and the women said maybe the SIM tray was messed up. I tried putting my brothers microsim in it but again it did not recognize. Tried my Sim on his phone and it worked so its not the Sim card itself. Has anyone else seen this happen ever?
Thanks again in advance!

Invalid Sim?

Hi guys, been trying to figure out what went wrong.. I'm on a unlocked T-Mobile note 5 using on ATT. Already on marshmallow, was trying out a couple of international roms which were working fine. Last thing I did right before I got the "Invalid SIM card/ Network locked SIM card inserted" notification was the security hack to bypass exchange thru Xtouchwiz xposed app. My sim is working fine on another phone so can't be sim. Anyone here have any suggestions? Thank you..

I've had this as a random problem. I changed my sim a couple of times for a new one and it seems to be ok for the last few weeks. I also added a bit of stick paper to the sim to hold it in place which seemed to work for a bit! I put it down to faulty sim cards and a highly sensitive phone.

Yeah I replaced the sim as well but no go. I called tmobile and they said that the phone was unlocked temporarily which sounds funny to me. Never heard of unlocking for just a period of time. So of course they said they would need to speak to the original owner of phone in order to unlock again. Obviously I'm the owner now the phone is not reported lost or stolen or blacklisted. I just think they don't want to help me because I don't have an account with them.

Most likely your phone is locked via the "Device Unlock App". If T-Mobile doesn't want to unlock your phone you can try this service:
https://www.unlockradar.com/service/t-mobile-usa-device-unlock-app-official-unlock.
Please mak sure to read the detailed instructions.
