So I bought a new galaxy note 3 SM-N900W8 from some guy I met of of kijiji/Craigslist. It was sealed and brand new. Now I put my rogers Sim in it an it worked. He told me it was an upgrade from the carrier. It isn't stolen or anything and I even check the imei with samsung amd also with Rogers.
So the phone was working for about week and than all of a sudden the network was not recognized anymore amd now I cannot connect to the Rogers network.
I have not rooted the phone and I have not done anything else. The APN setting are all set up properly and also the phone says cannot connect try again later when I try to connect with the Rogers Network.
I called samsung and they said the phone is the international one but I highly doubt it because the guy sounded like he didn't know much. How could it suddenly stop working on the network out of no where?
Also I called back again and the women said maybe the SIM tray was messed up. I tried putting my brothers microsim in it but again it did not recognize. Tried my Sim on his phone and it worked so its not the Sim card itself. Has anyone else seen this happen ever?
Thanks again in advance!

Hi guys just grabbed a note, was on GB stock, tried the *# code and says its fully sim unlocked, so tried a virgin vodafone sim in it and it says no sim card, try orange and o2 and it reads them and connects to the network, cant get it to read any micro sim either, any ideas???
Just popped into my local service centre as its round the corner and they are baffled.

if its still on GB, try a full factory reset under settings, or stock recovery and re try the sims,
If it fails to read any other than o2 and Orange send it back, and get a replacement, Unless you are of course on o2 or Orange
Tried that last night, went out and bought one of each network sims lol, its at the service centre atm had it checked its not blacklisted, its still under warranty just peed off lol, how it will recognise 2 sims but no others, and nah im on vjrgin mobile lol

how long have you had this Note ? if you've only just got it, then who ever you purchased it from should replace or repair it !
if you've had it a while, its up to you to prove you haven't caused the damage.
Traded it for my s3 on sunday stepdad only got it on upgrade week ago

Just want to reach out to see if anyone has been able to activate an locked or unlocked Galaxy Camera. I purchased mine through Amazon, and it's supposed to be unlocked. But in the network menu, the only carrier that shows up is AT&T. I tried T-Mobile and didn't work. I opened account with AT&T today and tried three different sim cards and none would work. Funny thing is that I borrowed the AT&T's rep sim card to test and it actually works. But not the sim card they gave me. Tried Verizon as well and it's not compatible. So now I'm stuck. This is my second camera from Amazon, since I returned the first one. The box on the second one says "unlocked," but it sure doesn't act like one. Ideas guys?

Hi Guys...
2 days ago i woke up and found that my phone had no signal. I thought that Rogers (my carrier) was screwing around or something. So i just restarted my device. Nothing.
I checked *#*#4636#*#* and my radio was on (toggled it on and off and on again) and the correct network types were selected (GMS/LTE/CDMA etc. I checked in the settings menu and the correct network types were selected again. Lastly APN settings were all entered for MMS, Data, LTE, etc.
I try to search for the network and it shows Rogers, Telus and Bell. I try to connect to Rogers and i get a message saying that "Your SIM card does not allow this type of connection".
I luckily had a backup from the day previous which i restored. No go there. I did a full clean wipe and install of Viper One RC2 and then a random AOSP-based ROM, again nothing.
the weird thing is that in the Phone Information menu the device reads my phone number and IMEI easiy, so its not like the phone isn't reading the SIM card...
Has anyone encountered this problem or have any suggestions? I have seen this error happen with other devices when i Googled it and searched XDA, but no solution or resolution, and definitely nothing specific to the HTC One.
Did you buy the phone new or used? I've seen this happen to people who bought used phones on ebay. There's a scam going in which the seller will wait a month to get outside the return period and then report it stolen. They get the $$$ and a new phone, and you're screwed.
If you bought it new, your sim card might be damaged.
I wish it was a SIM card issue, but it's not. I tried the same SIM in my Nexus 4 and it works just fine. My sister has an iPhone 4S, I swapped the SIM from it and it didn't work either.
The device itself is a Telus device unlocked that I bought locally brand new from a seller off of kijiji. The device was completely untouched and wrapped in all the right ways. I bought it back in June I think.

It may have been a brand new phone that the seller bought and immediately put up for sale.
You need to talk to Telus to see if the IMEI has been reported stolen.
So the device is definitely blacklisted in Canada...Rogers is saying it's Telus that blacklisted it. Telus is saying they never had the device in their inventory (IMEI doesn't show in their database), so it isn't their device and they didn't blacklisted it. Bell said they had in their database and its a deactivated IMEI, so...I'll be taking a trip to several corporate stores to get this sorted today.

Hello everyone,
Although I found lots of similar posts, I couldn't find solution for problem I have. Last year I bought HTC Raider (originaly on Rogers) on e-bay. Phone was unlocked, my SIM card (provider is Tele2 Croatia) worked perfectly in it. January 10th this year I've changed provider to T-mobile Croatia and when I tried to use their SIM card - my phone is constantly rebooting. It is not rooted or using custom ROM or anything like that. I've tried to contact HTC services in Croatia but their answer is that they cannot help me because HTC Raider is not sold in Europe. I am really stuck here, so you guys are my last hope. I am willing to donate money to anyone who can give me solution which works.
Thanks.
If you take out the sim card (or use the old sim card) and turn the phone on, does it work normally? If so, i'm more confused. Otherwise, your boot partition might have gotten messed up somehow, in which case you would either want to re-flash the boot.IMG from the stock ROM, or use htc's RUU (try that first).

If I use old sim card everything is fine. Meanwhile, I did S-off, root and put Holics ROM, but same thing happens. What I have noticed, when old sim card is inside, preferred network is set on GSM/WDCMA/LTE, somehow I managed to open phone info with T-mobile sim inserted and preferred network was set to CDMA + LTE/EvDo Auto. I couldn't change that manually because there is not enough time between resets.

OK... You somehow have a radio issue... Your Sim card seems to think its for a different style phone...
Methinks you should ask T-Mobile why your Sim card is doing that...
This phone is for GSM networks...
You may have to tell them that...

Ok, today I went to T-mobile and told them that. Their explanation was that problem is in the phone, not in SIM card. They said other providers in Croatia don't have 4g network and they do. Essentially they said there is nothing they can do about it. My last option is to ask is it possible to remove CDMA from phone completely by deleting files or something like that?

OK, problem is solved. What I did:
Installed wahjee desensed rom - phone was still rebooting with t-mobile sim
I was ready to give up so I did oem lock and installed stock rom through sd card so I can sell it...
Then I decided to try just once more and inserted t-mobile sim... And voila! It works... Perfectly. No reboots any more... Now I'm really confused... But I don't care... As long as it works )

Huh! Well good for you! If you ever install another rom on there, let us know if the same thing happens again (or of it doesn't).

I am pretty confused.
I bought a used AT&T variant S5 from this lady on craigslist. I ask her questions about the phone, try and get a judge of her character, check the IMEI on Swappa, etc. The important parts checked out and the IMEI appears to be clean so I go ahead and purchase the phone. Since I use T-Mobile's prepaid plan, I have the phone unlocked and it works great - for a few days. Suddenly I get the MM # 6 Error and all network connections cease to work.I return to Swappa and check the IMEI and get the dreaded black box telling me the phone has been reported as lost or stolen. Bleh.
I am either victim to insurance fraud or I purchased a stolen phone from this lady BUT that is not why I am posting here. Fast forward a bit and it has been over 24 hours since the phone has been blacklisted and I am still obviously a little pissed off. I tried putting a GiffGaff sim in the phone but it's been ages since I have used that, so I get the SIM Not Provisioned Error. For some reason I thought I would try my wife's sim in the damn thing next just to see, obviously not expecting much better results (She has AT&T). I get full service. Taking the sim out of her iPhone 5S and putting it into my blacklisted AT&T S5 has returned full service to my phone somehow. I disabled Wifi and got full bars 4G LTE, successfully browse the internet, send text and MMS, and make a phone call.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm sure there is an explanation, but I haven't heard of this yet. I know when a T-Mobile phone is financed and blacklisted, it will still work with AT&T networks, but I haven't ever run into a scenario quite like the one I am having. Maybe there is a slight delay in AT&T having the device updated on it's blacklist vs T-Mobile, where the device is already not working. I did check the IMEI again and it is still blacklisted. Any thoughts?
TL;DR: Blacklisted AT&T S5 works (currently) on AT&T, not T-Mobile
I need someone to say they have seen this before...

It's not blacklisted if it works on Att.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
Yet the IMEI shows blacklisted for lost or stolen on T-Mobile? And they share the same database.
Sent from my C6833_GPe using XDA Free mobile app
I guess my question is why the hell does this phone not work on T-Mobile? Could T-Mobile have mistakenly put this on the blacklist?
Sent from my C6833_GPe using XDA Free mobile app
Are you 100% sure the phone is natively an AT&T variant and not a Tmobile one? Tmobile variants can flash and at&T rom and have the device ID in settings changed as a result. boot to download mode and check the device ID
Well put it this way: The phone has an AT&T logo on the back, at the boot, and the sticker on the inside says SM-G900A. Also, the phone would bring up the NCK Unlock screen whenever I put in a T-Mobile sim prior to me unlocking it.
After unlock things worked great with T-Mobile, until I got the MM#6 error and check the IMEI again to find it was blacklisted.
Taking a picture now of download mode.

The reason your wife's sim card worked is the imei is not listed on your account. It takes a couple of hours to a couple days for the att network to check the imei and lock the account due to a lost or stolen device (blacklist). Once this happens your account gets locked and unusable until you remove the sim from the device and call att to restore service.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using XDA Free mobile app
So the although the phone is showing up as blacklisted, it will continue to be usable until AT&T notices its being used by my wife's sim, at which point she will be locked out of her account until she calls to restore service? I have never heard of that.
Sent from my C6833_GPe using XDA Free mobile app
Just because you may not have heard of it does not make it false. Trust me the info I have shared is the reason why. I have run into this multiple times.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using XDA Free mobile app
Well its still alive and kicking on AT&Ts network. Your explanation would make more sense if it wasn't.
