Going to try this on the D3, its big in the fascinate world. May be worth a dev porting to the D3 specifically. I'm going to take the plunge though since we can do nandbackups.

Whats inside:
changed partition mounts--- for less data corruption
patched sqlite's----IMPROVES I/O
honecomb 3.1 fugu mod-IMPROVES SCROLLING/RESPONSIVENESS
All new init.d files---PARTITION MOUNTS,CACHE,SYSCTL,KERNEL
Sysctl.conf----TWEAKS KERNEL AND I/O SCHEDULER
tweaked scaling governor----faster cpu performance
It has been reported to work on the Motorola Atrix, so that gives me hope for some additional improvements on the D3.

I looked throught the zip. It contains some files that the D3 doesnt have (or are in a different location). So some of the changes will probably do nothing.
Check out the newest from Hashcode. You can now restore from BP Tools. No need to flash and restore

Did you do anything with the sysctl.conf and init.d?
Sorry for the delays... yes, as stated above, the zip files will not flash to the D3 (even though they do flash to the Moto Atrix??).
But you can definitely rip out files push them with Root Explorer or ADB commands. I haven't had time to mess with that but I may jump on it later today. Glad someone else tried and showed positive signs. That is encouraging.
I applied manually.
Don't notice any difference, really. But it may respond better to my finger. I'll have to run it for a few days.

I snatched the files from the latest SteelDroid to enable init.d. However I also used the scripts from that rom as well as they include alot the same tweaks.
I discovered that the sysctl.conf tweaks have no affect. We dont seem to have access to those adjustments. Perhaps because of our stock kernel?
for you, if you have a stock kernel to enable init.d .....

And rather than asking "So does it run real fast real good?", I requested the accepted, repeatable standard that serves as an imperfect benchmark.
i always felt that quadrant was to easy to be swayed by certain tweaks or hacks thatdont give the real world performance for what the chart would show that it would, i would like to know though, how does this rom run?

Found this and it turns out it is pretty cool. Lots of tweaks. Some stuff already baked into BO. Oh, and this is for BrokenOut!!!!!
:highfive: to Fuzzy13 for pimpin' his esteem first. I found this a few days ago but was waiting for someone else to do it first. lol. Thanks Mane!!!
Original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908269
I have already made the tweak to the script and it's ready to flash. Pimp-my-ROM_LG_Revolution {it's large, very large. over 100mb. Here's your warning} Pls be easy ppl. it's on my dropbox I'll add a mirror after my boss kicks me out tonight
Make a backup then just flash in cwm. It will open an aroma graphical interface that will allow you to install many tweaks and a few apps. Choose stock based GingerBread ROM So far everything seems to work. Just remove any init.d tweaks that were not baked in the BrokenOut2.0. (ie...v6, tweaks, thunderbolt, etc...) Best to start fresh!!!!!
When finished, just exit (do not reboot from pmr, you will get a cwm error). reboot system from cwm.
Enjoy!!!!!!!
***edit: If by chance you get the 'no boot animation', it's a simple fix:
Edit the line 'debug.sf.nobootanimation' of your build.prop. Change the value to 0 (zero)
Can I use this even if im not starting fresh? If so, would it be conflicting with any of the BO scripts?
The only script from stock bo that conflicts is the loopy smoothness. Pmr names it smoothness. But it will take over v6. Unsupercharge then flash pmr. But as always, make a backup!!
Just remove the baked in loopy script after you make your backup.

So to avoid the smoothness script conflict, I should just uncheck the "smoothness" script? or what?

My initial boot took 8 minutes. It had me worried!
EDIT: Still no boot logo on second boot. Also took 7 minutes that time.
Will this work with all roms, ie all versions of BO and stock?
In theory yes, but Idk if it will work on stock Rom. Just make a backup first. Iirc, a guy used it on his wife's stock esteem. Said he saw a tremendous improvement.
As far as removal, Idk. I'll get back with that info soon.
I have been using it for a few days now and I get fabulous Batt life. I do suffer from the no boot ani, but boot ups are faster than on a stock kernel. Just amazing. But remember, to give your phone time to settle before giving up. besides aroma is cool.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda app-developers app
For stock Roms, you would need to enable init.d support. Without it, your init.d scripts will not run by themselves.
to enable init.d support in stock rooted roms, use a file browser and go to the etc folder. look for init.qcom.post_boot.sh and add '/system/etc/init.d/*' to the bottom of the file. Save and reboot. Enjoy.
*Edited. Forgot a letter.
Sent from my VS910 4G using xda app-developers app
OP updated for the 'no boot animation' issue. If you want to call it an issue. and to let you know, after enabling the boot ani I have not noticed any increase to the boot up time. In fact, sometimes my ani doesn't even get to loop before the lock screen shows up.
And for those that don't like the extra long boots, they will shorten up. Give your phone time to settle. the long boots are for the scripts configuring things. When you think about it, there are a lot of files that are tweaked (zipaligned, deodexed, etc...). the scripts are set up to optimize files that are not already optimized. So, the boot time will decrease. Don't get scared. It's only a phone.

I read all that last night - also droidforums.net. There was never a solution beyond reflash, and nobody ever reported back if they were able to solve it. I don't recall having this problem with Safestrap 1.08 when I tried Liberty before.
Oh well. I'll keep playing around. I tried the vending.apk from Maverick 4.5 but that didn't seem to help either. I also tried turning ads back on in ROM Toolbox. It may be time to go through build.prop or something.

Ok, I got it working. What worked for me is to skip the initial setup of Liberty by doing the four corner trick (i.e, on the "touch the Droid to begin" screen, touch the four corners of the touchable display in the order upper left, upper right, lower right, and lower left; this will skip the setup steps and bring you straight to the home screen). Touching the market after that asks you to log in to a Google account, and this successfully starts the market/play store without a force close.
Breaking my usual rule of not changing two things at once, I also switched from the first ROM slot to my third (I have three slots.) I doubt that made a difference, though.

Hmm, that could be why. I always skip setup via 4 corners, although back when liberty first came out I probably didn't. Although it could be coincidence, as stated in the thread, it seemed kinda random, appearing for some, and being fixed via multiple reflashing.
I've been giving some consideration to going back to liberty for awhile, switch it up. I'll put it to the test if i do

You only need to flash GApps on aosp based roms like cm and aokp. This is due to legal issues, android is open source, gapps are not. Since liberty is heavily modified blur base rather than being compiled from source, gapps are included.

Thanks, I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm not sure if there's anything in a CyanogenMod Gapps that would be bad for Liberty.
Anyway, the four corners trick works, and everything else in setup is easy to re-do. Restoring apps and WiFi access points I do with Titanium anyway, so I don't need to restore from Google.
I have to say that I set this up but went back to Minimoto because I was traveling and I wanted to have a known-good setup. I'll restart with Liberty in a day or two and see how things go.

The virtual rom slots are new to me. How is the performance when running a rom from one?
Thanks again!

Performance is really great, no noticable performance reduction. Go for it  :good:
right, any loss in performance, is minimal
the multiple slots makes trying a new rom very easy
just note, cm10.1 and newer AOKP roms must be on slot 1
and hash should be releasing roms with the new kernel, any day now

Guys you may want to hold off for the latest kernel to roll into the builds (or I'll start putting out some test builds once its ready for D3 usage).
No camera function yet. But .. wow.
Everything else is better(tm).

I'm afraid I disagree. Safestrap mounts .img files as loop devices, which, as I understand and based on my own experience, is slower than mounting an actually disk partition. I was previously running minimoto on Safestrap and while I found it faster than anything else out there, I find it even faster when is flashed to the actual system partition. I have some bootstraps on my computer of you are still interested OP

CM10.1 Lag Fix version 2
The first version by me is baked into cm10.1 by epinter already, this is the new one.
This update is made by me and will be baked into cm10.1 (epinter) as soon as he diffs it.
This build prop works okay*for me, but not 100%!
Instructions: To apply the tweaks and scripts to CM/PAC/CARBON etc...
(1. Download the attached file below.
(2. Flash it in Clockworkmod recovery.
(3. Enjoy.
What does this do? Enable both cores on high, free a tad more ram and graphics tweaks through properties and init.d...
VERY Close to fixing 100% of the problem. But I cant get my other source to work.
Download - Codex01-CM10.1PreformanceEnhancements-3.0.1.zip
so does battery life take a hit with both cores enabled?
No, I included more than performance there's now power saving, connection, and media init.d scripts and props.

Thanks thats good to know about to flash now.
Update: I definitely see a performance difference.
I tried it in PAC rom and its running smooth now. I notice that after i flash this, i can't proceed to CMW recovery. Anyone has the same problem? Im planning to back up this.thanks

Nope i get into CMW.
Is there a way i can recover CMW?

This does make everything a bit smoother. Animation is still kinda herky-jerky but for a ROM that's been around for less than a week developed by a guy who doesn't even own one (epinter says he doesn't have an MB886 available to him), this is super impressive.
Try flashing it again @ryuben2k. What version and which model, from what I hear, the Photon 4G LTE is not a good choice of recovery. Make sure you flash the Razr HD recovery. If all goes well with the millions of init.d scripts I'm writing I'll have version 3 by tomorrow.
Is this specifically for cm10.1 or will it work for PAC rom?

Yes, because PAC is a port into our cm10.1 sources. @worlddominatiin
Appreciate the work your doing looking forward to v3

@Swiftb12305 I'll have it up tonight for sure, something came up and I didn't feel like doing anything.
thanks! im waiting for the v3 too!
Okay might be a while because my Google site page for this got reformatted, and I'm trying to get some other stuff done, this may lead to the early to late am maybe even pm. Because of scripts for not only cm, PAC, and AOKP... But now root box too.... Hope you guys understand.

So later this night or tomorrow night?
No problem... I might be awake to try this out still...
I don't see any reason to not be patient...
No problem btw what will v3 include?
Sorry for my absence and delay of development, it was due to a family emergency. I'm not home right now, I'm using mobile hotspot while I'm in Daytona for a while. Hopefully I can get this project up. Please be patient while I'm syncing my sources now on my laptop.
To answer your question on what this update will contain: It will contain additional scripts in init.d, as well as a new sysctl script.
OP UPDATE: New Beta is up, not a whole lot of changes till tonight.
Sweet!
Can't wait til it's... Tonight...
For a second there, I was about to ask what's new with this upcoming version... That would have been pretty stupid...
