[Q] possible to view only images in a thread? - Android Themes

Is it at all possible to view any of the threads in this forum as a gallery of images?
For instance, I'm looking for inspiration for theming. I like to look at homescreen images in this thread, but it's over 4000 pages long and lots of the images are reposts in replies. I was hoping Google had a way of searching a specific thread for images but it seems to only be able to search the domain. Obviously I wasn't able to find a way to do this through the forum itself.
So ideally I'd like something like the way Google Images work, that when you click on an image it takes you to the article or page that image is at, but with some way to restrict the search to individual threads.
Is this doable? Is this something that's very obvious to everyone but me? Or am I just hoping for too much?

+1, this feature would be very useful
HydrogenMOD - AOSP Perfection

I vote yes for a feature like this as well.

MultiPicture Live Wallpaper app help needed.

I've read through multiple threads but have not found the answer I'm seeking so I'll ask here.
Does anyone know of a good source of help for MPLW? I've emailed the developer twice and have yet to receive a response. A user guide would be great but I'm rescinded to the fact that there doesn't appear to be one.
What I'm looking for specifically is how do I create folders to put the wallpapers I want used into and how do I then direct the app as to what folder to use for each home screen? Frankly I'm finding the app to not be terribly user friendly unless your moderately android savvy I suppose. Finding the settings wasn't very straight forward and even once I was in the settings there are things, like pointing at specific folders, that I just can't find.
Is it me or is this app not supported very much by the developer?
As always, any help will be greatly appreciated.
I made a video

Patterns, simple backgrounds etc

Hello,
First, I have to admit that I don't really know where to post this. Further, I also don't really know the search criteria....
I'm looking for collections of patterns, simple backgrounds and similar stuff to work with, for example jeans, cloth, wood, rock patterns or other patterns created from scratch. It doesn't have to be necessarily related to homescreen/lockscreen design.
The search at deviantart only had a few useful results...
Are there any threads about this topic I haven't found yet? Other links? Public dropboxes? I take everything
If you guys would share some tipps and links, I would really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance!
Maybe 4walled.org can help you..

Check out the minimal homescreens thread and the app zedge wallpapers (it lets you download wallpapers and you can search for whatever kind of image you want).

Popular Ideas for Development

EDITED per Admin's suggestions:
Hey xda,
I wanted to make a thread for people who are not as developer-savvy as others to share ideas and make requests for mods/roms/etc.
If a request or idea could generate enough feedback or support, developers would be more informed on what people would want or like to see.
Here are two things that I would personally like to see on my Nexus 4.
On your homescreen, when you press and hold the home button to go to Google Now, is it possible to add shortcuts and or folders to the extra space around the ring? This would allow the user to clean up some screen space by hiding frequent shortcuts.
Also, I would like to see app-specific security (pattern, pin, password) protection. This would allow a user to easily unlock their phone but still have the security they would want for their messaging, facebook, etc.
Thanks for reading.
I'll maintain this thread as best I can and put the best suggestions below.
Best Ideas as of January 02, 2013
Ideas will be added to this list as support is generated.
Ideas will be removed from this list as they are developed or "worked-around."
See the post number for more details.
App-specific security (pattern, pin, password) protection. OP, #1
Simultaneously video recording with both cameras. DonDizzurp, #21
Full calculator as a lock screen widget. AlwaysDroid, #23
5 PNGs as your WiFi/Signal bars. kcls, #32
Multiwindow support. DforDesign, #41
i can add the shrotcuts already in aokp. i think. gimme a sec and ill find out.
edit: yeppers. i guess this is what you are talking about. i dont use them. but i might now that you have talked about cleaning up the home screen.

i have used it for a year now. first on att gs2 and now on nexus. in my opinion... it is the supreme rom.
I don't think that XDA is here to have users make requests?

Wonderful. I'm going to get AOKP this week then. Is this exclusively on AOKP? I haven't seen it elsewhere.

probably not blatantly as this thread , but people have made requests occasionally.

rom control should be built into most every rom. the features they stick in rom control are different though. i would imagine they all have the navbar deal. its best to flash a rom. find its features and then wipe and add a new rom. and keep going until you find the one you like best. after you find the right one... spend the hours it takes to set up your phone the way you want. for instance.. all of this talkin has caused me to want to throw cyanogen on here to see what those guys have been up to.

XDA is a development site not a site for users to come beg with requests. If you have any doubt or are unsure of what xda is please click the link below and look at zelendel's post. Hopefully a mod locks this thread.

There's a big difference between posting direct requests in the development forums and posting a thread in the general forum for collecting ideas you think might be cool to have developed one day. There's nothing wrong with this thread and it's not bothering anybody. It's certainly more useful than the hundreds of threads that occur at every device launch complaining about one hardware defect or another. As an amateur developer I think threads like this are cool places to look for ideas that might be fun to tackle.

except for the am dev part. i dunno devving.
So i was browsing the thread and i came across this, and from the title alone i was ready to shut it down......
But i as i read in to it i had to change my mind. The OP is not blatantly making a request to any specific dev. They are simply stating things they would like to see. Now i know this isnt a place to make you phone look cool and i am obviously aware of the rules. But bedoig brings up a very valid point. Some of the amateur dev's might see this as an opportunity to dig in a little deeper. This is not in the development boards and no one is making a specific request from any of the dev's, so i see no reason to shut this down at this time.
However, since i do not normally moderate this board, then i welcome this boards mods _Arjen_, iridaki, eagleeyetom, YZ, TeeJay3800, Diamondback, AvRS, krook6023 to sidestep my decision if they feel the need to.
@oneonezerosix you may want to consider changing the title of your thread to something that sounds a little less demanding. The Dev's here might take it the wrong way (just a suggestion)

requests? no (although ive made my share of requests)
suggestions? sure, to an extent
XDA is here FOR the developers not for the average consumer to pressure devs.
as most xda OG's would say: if you want it done, do it yourself...
if you cant.. then try to learn and get the ball rolling and a dev will probably help you along the way.

After reading the post, I can understand your perspective. All that I ask is that you attempt to understand mine as well.
Zelendel stated that, "XDA is a place to come to learn and share your knowledge."
As an amateur developer, I do not know how to develop much of the things that I wish to be able to use. It was my sole intention to facilitate a discussion of new ideas for development from varying levels of skilled members. Even the best developers can dream of new mods/roms/kernels/etc that they may be unable to produce by their own means. Which is reason enough for one to want to request the assistance of others by posting in a thread like this.
If you do not see any value in this thread, then I apologize for wasting your time.
I am not a Dev and get offended for them when someone says "please add this".
But this is a recollection of ideas, honestly, what's wrong in that? Where would the devs be with no ideas?

I agree. This is an "ideas" thread, not targeted at a specific developer. A dev may take this on board and incorporate it, as they might think its a good idea
Fun fact: three marks have posted in this thread hi
OK, back on topic. Who's got ideas?

Watchstyler options

Hey iv started messing arround with watchstyler. So far im enjoying makiing my own watch faces, The one thing i was wondering is if there is anyway to add new styles for the digital or analog. As in adding more hands then the stock one the app comes with. We can add wallpapers but nothing else that iv been able to see. Another thing is you cant change the size of the stock digital clock choices you can place em anywhere on the screen but you can shrink them. Would have been a useful options a few times so far.
Read the forums.. For cryin out loud man....
Search!!
Edit: Sorry for reacting like this but it gets really annoying people do not search just starting threads. Making this forum cluttered like crazy....

lol there a massive thread with loads of faces
Press thx if i help you
Ok there seems to be some confusion about what im asking. Im not talking about wallpapers. Im talking about adding different needles for the analog clocks, different fonts with adjustable size for the digital clocks, more battery styles other then the stock ones that come with watchstyler. You can add wallpapers but none of the other stuff other then the custom ones that come with watchstyler. And i did do a search on this subject but only found posts about already made watch facias byt that i mean needles/times ,battery status. The reason im asking for this is because i recently tried using a wallpaper that i had to ditch because none of the custom needles or digital numbers that come preloaded in watchstyle could fit anywhere on the wallpaper without looking like they were just in the wrong spot i would have needed something a bit smaller or an options to at least adjust the size of the preloaded ones would have been nice. Again no posts on any of these subject was to be found. I'm kinda wondering how come no one has come accross this problem before. So it would be nice to be able to add more needles, more digital clock fonts, just more options to make even more facias then just the preloaded settings with infinite wallpaper possiblities.
Edit: Ok after looking at quite a few threads i did find mentions on how to add needles and whatnot. Having to use photoshop to mod existing needles opr create new ones altogether. Not exactly everyone is a graphic expert but its a start and the post was not about my problem so unless i searched for specific terms like watchstyler and photoshop i rly would not have found anything witch was the case for me. I stumbled on the info i needed. In the future instead of assuming that everyone who post didnt search realise that we dont all share a single hive mind and sometimes if you dont search a specific word combination you just dont get the results your looking for. Like in this case it didnt occure to me to search for photoshop in conjunction with watchstyler. So my searches didnt yield any results. Anyways if anyone knows of any other sources to get custom needles and whatnot plz let me know im not a graphic inclined person. Thx

I understand where you are coming from on the Search. Hard to find sometimes and I haven't been on forums in anything for years. I have started to read the first 3 to 4 pages of similar posts first before asking something that might have been answered, but even then it sometimes has. Have fun piecing new watch faces together. I downloaded some of the ones from others, but went back to stock to put my kids or father's pic as the wallpaper background, since it is the Holidays, and I get all sappy : )

[REF] Cooperative ROM Spreadsheet List

Hi guys. I have created a spreadsheet to classify the new lollipop roms, and i want to share it with you.
There are several threads (thanks) for rom indexes, but this is a real-time collaborative one. I know, it can be a mess if people start deleting other people work.
Anyhow i will let the spreadsheet online for a few days. If nobody uses it or people breaks it, i will delete it.
Feel free to update it, add new roms, or post ideas. I don't guarantee any kind of support, the idea is to be collaborative.
Here is the google spreadsheet:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1AklZkotmLA1am928rjKr9E66Ig-SYz03962anF5ga5E
I think xda should create a web tool for debdv's. Every developer could enter the main info of his rom, and we would be able to see it like a table. We could do filters for device, android version, etc. I think it would be nice.
I don't think it will happen, because they want us to flash every single ROM and spend hours deciding what one we like.
Even the titles and original posts no longer seem to be updated. I've searched many threads trying to find a lollipop ROM with a black theme (not dark grey). I found newer versions mentioned towards the last couple pages of a thread, that weren't mentioned in the original post.
I know it's extra work but man it's difficult to sort through the different ROMs when the thread op lacks so much info.
