If you tap the little android on the home screen tips widget, he blinks.
Lawl no, i totally missed that
Mine flips me off. I tap it and its eyes turn red. Then it flips me off.
After that it walks over to an icon and kicks the sh*t out of it.

Poor homescreen! Took me a long time to clean up the poop that popped out of that icon. And the Android just stood there snickering at me.

Is there an app that will recalibrate the touchscreen? The corners of the, screen as well as the bottom above the 4 buttons is acting funny. I d press one place and it would think I am touching elsewhere. Cm6rc1

Standby for a second, then turn it back on and the problem goes away. It's a common problem, but I've never heard a real reason for it or found a pattern to when it happens.
There is no calibration for capacitive screens.

Just to clarify:
Standby means turning the screen off via the top button right?

Yes, just hit the power button, or as my wife says "Turn the screen off".

That made me laugh a little. Yes, as he said, capacitive touchscreens do not need to be calibrated.
Hi guys,
Yesterday I bought a Nexus 32gb in Fnac, and I realized that with the screen off the light of a close reading lamp is reflected in it and because of this I can see a dotted line and "squares" in the screen (I suppose it's the tactile panel)
The weirdest thing is after seeing the dotted line with the screen off, when I turn it on with the highest bright and a white background I keep on seeing those points
Would you be so kind as to check this?
Thanks for all.
My one x and asus transformer have them too.

I'm very grateful for your answer.
Do you still see them in the same place when you turn the screen on for a few seconds and put a white background in it?
The squares are in an obvious pattern. There is no way that could be a bad screen. All HP touchpad had it.

Ok, but I dont think it's normal that I can see the points with screen on (with background white)
Regards.
I see this with the Kindle Fire but not with the Nexus 7.

I've noticed this pattern on my Nexus 7 as well, but only when the screen is off and hit by a bright light at just the right angle. And even then, I have to really look for it.
I've never been able to notice it while the screen was turned on though.

ah no, i can only see them when the screen in off and i am outside with bright sunlight on the front face... no chance of seeing them on white background here. :good:
It is normal. Stop being paranoid and just accept what people are telling you. It is normal to see that pattern while the screen is on if you have a bright background.
Edit: If people say they cant see them they are not looking for it correctly. All capacative screen has em'. True story

So my phone was working normally as It should when all of a sudden it turned off.
There's this icon in the status bar next to the time that shows a percentage of how much life my phone has left I think.
But then it started flashing red with an x inside at 2% I got so scared! Then it happened, my phone turned off. What do I do now?):

Are you serious with this question?
From what you say here I can understand that your battery went empty and your phone turned itself off. Which is perfectly normal..
Off course it won't turn on again if the battery is empty.
Maybe try to charge the phone?
Edit:
If that doesn't work, remove the battery for a while (1 minute) or try to turn on the phone while in the charger but without battery.

Hi guys just wondering I've switched off always in display right from the box because I was worried about burn in but after seeing my friends s8 plus always on display I feel I'm missing out lol
My question does always on display have any way of creating screen burn in of any sorts or degrade the quality of the display quicker then normal
Thanks
It's always in a different location to prevent burn in.

Thx, don't know how the heck I missed it!
In my settings, there's no option to have it move all over the screen. Is it that subtle that I dont see it move around? I like the AOD but I dont know how it cant create a chance of screen burn-in
It can be a very subtle move but it is definitely moving. You may not notice it. Sometimes I'll see it move about an inch, but other times not at all that I can tell. Enjoy your AOD, it won't burn into your display.
I'm terrified to leave my house in case I get eaten by a Llama.
some people .....
I've experienced the burn in screen with galaxy s8. The burn in started first in the place of home button and navigation bar then spread to the lower half of the screen. So now I deactivated AOD and navigation bar in my note9.
Sorry for my bad english

Not true, I have burn-in from AOD. It is very noticeable on light backgrounds.
