No, I think it's related with the framework.. so it won't be easy for general users..

I have a broken power button and am running stock 2.2.1 on my N1. Is it possible to upgrade to 2.3.3 "manually" in my case or do I have to wait for OTA ?
You need to go from 2.2.1 to 2.2.2 to 2.3.3. Search for the required file, I believe you need frg83D to frg83G. As for the broken power button, you need to root, then install quickboot or rom manager to go straight into recovery.
Sorry for the probably stupid question, but can we root with a broken power button?

Do you have an unlocked bootloader?
No........

Then you'd probably have to wait for a one click root method of some sort.
There is no one click or manual root available for 2.3.3 yet...
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Updating to a build that has no trackball wake/unlock with a broken power button would probably be a big mistake anyhow.
excuse me, I have a rooted 2.2 Nexus one with a broken power button...
How can I upgrade my phone...?
Would you tell me the procedure step by step.........
Actually, I read so many posts in xda but I still so confused that how can I upgrade my phone without the power button...
Thank you so much~~
With the upgrade do you want to go back to stock unrooted or do you want to stay rooted. Also do you have a custom recovery installed.
Hello everyone. I just want to ask, Is there any standar way to make phone after restart enter CWM. Maybe by creating a file somewhere (like .boot_CWM) or by changing a flag in a file. Thanks in advance

He wants to know if you can make your phone boot into CWM automatically.
I don't know of a way to do this, nor do I see the practical application of doing so.
ROM manager does it somehow, you could probably decompile it to see how.

i downgraded to 2.1 stock heaps of times.
U have to flash a fastboot rom through KDZ.
Can you give me a link to a Indian fastboot and a short tutorial
if im not wrong there is no indian fastboot only indian kdz but since you want 2.1 for the camera then just use any 2.1 softmod better performance and good camera
Is there anyway to take a snapshot of the screen with an unrooted phone?
And yes I already checked related threads and I'm talking specificaly of P970H (gingerbread 2.3.4 v20a kernel 2.6.35)
thanks
there is built in screenshot app in P970, and it dosn't need root
hold Home soft key, then press power button
I think it work to in P970H
Yes. That's ture. But anyone knows where does it put the picture file. Last time i heard you need SDK for the process. Did it changed?
Umm.. I just tried it. (Home Touch-Key + Power Button) and It created a folder in my Gallery named 'Capture' and the Screenshot was there.
Interesting. I tried it when i first got the phone, before i installed Screenshot It. But i wan't able to find the pic. I'll try again. It would be good. I can uninstall one more third party app.
the image file is in /sdcard/CapturedImages

Hi guys,I'm very new here..I understand that if we flashed custom with pc Odin..we gonna create yellow thingy on counter.my question is, how do i gonna check on how many yellow thingy already in my device? Thank you
You can go into download mode(hold volume down, menu, power for about 10s) and check the binary counter parameter. You will also see if you are on factory or custom firmware but you should now that already .

Oh, and TriangleAway only works on ICS so you won't be able to reset the counter from GB.
