Guess I will be looking into this tonite when I get home....

I've attempted to use mm but I know nothing about editing the files- I don't have time to go into what it takes to theme, lol. I changed the battery icon and that's enough for me at the moment.
if you don't know how to use mm, do a search. there are several guides. good luck!

I downloaded it from the market and it says I need box tools how do install that
Sent from my Evil Eris v1.1 using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
tried this as well and no luck. anyone with success wanna share how they did it right and which theme they did it with?
Okay, I'm just throwing this out there, but there is a search feature on the forums.
But, I'll look it up for you so you don't have to do anything.

That thread shows you HOW TO METAMORPH. A thread made by the CREATOR of metamorph.
It's a bit more complicated than just downloading the application. There aren't any current made-for-Eris metamorphs out there (that I've found, anyway). So you can A.) find a metamorph you like and port it over to the Eris, or B.) create your own. That includes editing xml files and .9.pngs - so have fun with that.
Hmm Guess I gotten hooked on Boot animation creation. I am currently working on screens as I am writing .. Ill post em as I complete and test them for functionality.
All Working on my D3
For those new, I place the bootanimation file into the /data/local/
thus keeping the original files in tact.
Reboot to see the new animation.
Ill even do requests... As I have the time..

Ive been saving these on my sd so i only have to paste the zip to the data/local folder. The bat1.zip said it was like 33 meg though. Might want to look at that. Bat2 was cool. Im sticking with prime so far though. You have a nack for these boot animations
i cut the animation in half and went with jpeg this time png makes larger size Im going to cut down on the eye animation next ... yeah makes a big difference in boot time being smaller...
Cool..........
Batman one is sweet lol

I guess I'm more of noob than I thought. I used root explorer and placed the file in data/local. now what?

Pulldown editor?
I used a market app to change the pulldown from Verizon Wireless to B&M Services and it FC'd the phone app over and over...
So, I'm sure there needs to be some playing around b4 we see one for the Bionic

I know a few of us are working on the Ultimate Online Theme Kitchen right now getting some themes cooked up for folks.
I tested a few themes that I created and one of them was a black taskbar. I'm sure more people will have themes coming out due to bootstrap.
Actually, if need be, I can create a black taskbar, flashable zip in CWM, if you want.

Thanks, but I used the MetaMorph GB black status bar from DroidPirate and it worked. Ironically, the Bionic one from there didn't work.......
Really want to change the VZ on the pulldown and lockscreen, any ideas?

Try that and let me know what you think.

Im deodexed right now ill try it.

Just tried the app and no success. Usually to manually change it, it's in the eri.xml file. Could be different as I saw some other posts for Moto devices being in a different file.
To manually edit the eri.xml file:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-hacks/57078-how-edit-eri-xml.html
As always, back up your device before doing this.

So I used UOT and made my notification bar black, and some new icons... But, I set up some modifications for the notification pull down window, making it black and transparent and it didn't apply. Any idea why?

Unleashed rom has a black status bar, flash that.
I threw this together and doesn't look too bad, but still much i plan on doing with it.
Youtube video of it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3ApvKE4u_w&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Download link here:http://gunnermike53.com/Themers/dsubs317/mario64.zip
If you want to try it out, download the file, open up a root file explorer, find mario64.zip and copy it. Navigate to \system\media and paste the file. Rename the preexisting bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip1. Now rename mario64.zip to bootanimation.zip. Reboot and check it out.
To come: smoother & longer animation, reduced file size, hopefully some sound, and once that is accomplished, i want to get the droid guy in there instead of Mario...
If you like my work check out my website: http://sites.google.com/site/droidbionicdub/ and click that thanks button!

Great work!!!!!!!!! any chance you could make me a boot animation?? I find it wired the lack of truly custom boot animations for the bionic...a majority of them are just color changes

If your looking for custom boot animations, I highly recommend Absolute System Root Tools. It has a ton of custom boot animations that you can install on the Bionic. There are more than a 100 of them to choose from and you can install or download them for further editing.

Yes, absolute root tools is a nice app with tons of boot animations, but very few, if any, are displayed at 540x960. Therefore you are left with a boot animation that plays but doesn't fit the screen like it should.

lol yes I've tried that but many come out to small, but seeing as you ported over many to work with the bionic on your website you should get a little recognition. Saves people like me from having to figure out how to resize them

I haven't had that problem with the ones I've used but your able to also download them, then edit them. All you have to do is extract the images and adjust their dimensions to your liking then add them back to the zip. May not be the perfect solution for everyone, but gives you many more options than we have.

on your site, for which I thank you, you have many boot animations and logo screens but no screenshots. is there a place to see what these things look like, or is it all trial and error?

I've been busy the past week with a few things but plan on getting the site updated shortly. So as of right now, no there's no screenshots but should have them up shortly. I can tell you that I know that at least 95% of them work fine. There are a few that I have not tested. If you feel up to it, test some out for me and let me know your findings.

So I would like to create this thread as a one stop shop for tweaks and such for the new leak. Post what ya got and I will dump it here in the op.

Chirp..... chirp.....
Lol... im anxious for some tweaks as well.
Edit: i tried going in and making changes to eri.xml and build.prop, i dont think it liked the changes... lol.. it booted into a black screen after the dual core splash screen. (I was also being lazy and was doing it all from within ROM Toolbox instead of doing it the proper way and using ninjamorph. I will try again later when i have time to dedicate to it.
