Is there any way to upgrade busybox version on gdx rom?
The rom seems to overwrite busybox on boot...
And I can't use supercharger script with built in 1.15.3 busybox...

I have the same problem!
Yeah, having any luck finding solution?
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
as I know if you upgrade your busybox will make your phone bootloops, for me built-in busybox is enough and supercharger script works well
Yeah, but bulletproofing won't work on with 1.15.3 bb
Sent from my X8 using XDA App
that's right, supercharger doesn't work well with such an old version of Busybox.
I know that, but how come no one can help...
I mean, there are so many devs here and I still haven't heard of solution to this problem...

I personally still recommended oclf as a way to improve a phones performance for a newbie or someone who is not ready to flash kernels or ROMs yet.
If you have an external SD card in, remove it, uninstall the ext2 tools, install them again and try the lagfix again. Once you get it to work, remember to undo it before flashing your first kernel.

I personally still recommended that NEVER use oclf. It's outdated, with very ugly install scripts, a plague to remove and nightmare to fix with a post flash to retrieve data (if you don't dare lost data it's ok).

I didn't have a problem using it, or removing it....and I have a feeling far more phones were trashed by people rushing in to flash kernels before they knew how then have been damaged by oclf.

The creator of the app left XDA for lots of reasons, very few to do with technical issues. Yes I recommended it as a simple way for someone brand new to android or sgs (as I was) to make his phone more usable.
You can try to use it again, or flash a kernel directly via odin...either way I hope it works out for you.

no oclf was abandoned before he left xda he built another better lagfix after oclf ( i think it is called z4mod)

+1 steer clear of OCLF you're far better off with voodoo or chainfire

Tried running script on tab and followed the guide on xda and when I run script it allows me to select a number and then it goes through the process but on almost every line it says "not found". Am I doing something wrong?

Script Manager
I am running the Contact rom for sprint with roddericks kernel.

I just rooted with the non downgrade method and busybox doesnt seem to be installed, is v1.20 and above safe, or does it cause bootloop like in ics?

Hello guys
I am again reverting to stock 2.3.6 in few days so wanna ask you one thing that
Which is the best script for stock rom on ace
1 fly on mod
2 crossbreeder
3 adrenaline engine
4 pure performance engine
4 supercharger
Will i have to flash some other kernel to use some of them like supercharger on stock
Please suggest only one option cos i have tried combinations of these on cm 10.1 and phone was half dead
Thanks in advance
All of them require a custom kernel. Supercharger just requires root for script manager to run. Try pure performances x, it works great.

i'd use fly on or crossbreeder.
btw what combinations did you flashed? some are working really fine together lik fly on with supercharger or crossbreeder. you just have to delete some files from fly on before flashing the next

Ya. Deleting some files n then flashing the next script would do but I have not tried it. Happy with the current going. I don't seem to remember what combinations I tried in the past.

For me Fly-On mod is working fine on CM 10.1. I didn't get sooo much boost of performance (I'm using also overclock and seeder). Also Fly-On has uninstaller and a check function. The only thing I don't like about this script is the rng script. So I just deactivated rng from script and using Seeder instead.

The seeder & the script do the same job. If you use the script for entropy, use seeder but only to monitor the free entropy.

I'll get in troubles if I use rng and Seedere because are the same thing. Fly-On is a good script because gives you better performance without sacifice stability. Also has a terminal line to uninstall it and works fine on any rom and any android version. Use smartassv2 or H3 governor to get buttery smoothness and good battery backup
Just use fly on & enable rngd using terminal emulator
