Ok I am running gingervolt now and was wondering if some how my sd could have erased my music. Never had issues before. I used a file explorer and I can't even find the music on it anymore.

If it was on the internal SD I believe it is erased when wiping data/factory reset
Supercharged GingerVolt
Just use the Google Music Beta silly
That's what I'm thinking what happened. I thought I had it on my sd but I could be wrong.

Like it says in the title I have downloaded kejar's deodexed debloated but when I boot to recovery it doesn't show my downloads folder or any folders at all except backups in nandroid. So I renamed it to update.zip and moved it to the root of sd I tried navigating to it through choose from sd but no luck still. Then just as a shot in the wind I tried running install update.zip from sd since I knew everything was in place for that and still no dice. Oh I have also tried restrapping and tried again. Anyone else having this issue or know what I can do?

Your moving it to sd card not sdcard-ext, you got to remember the sdcard is actually the phone, sdcard-ext is the sd card. Just move the file then try you should be good

Quick question. Will doing a factory reset in CWM wipe my internal SD card? My phone has been horribly buggy since the update. Tethering app is acting really flaky. I think I need to wipe it and just start anew. I just don't know if when i do that if it will wipe the internal SD too. Cause i don't want that. I have no idea if ill keep root either. But I can always find a way to get that back I hope. I'm at work for 6 more hours. Would love to just wipe it and have it keep SD intact and root and I could be back in action in 20 minutes. But I'm afraid it will wipe internal SD too and then I'd be borked

Doing a factory data reset will not affect the SD card. It will affect the internal memory on the phone however.

Yes internal SD card is wiped. External aka actual SD card safe

Thank you for the reply. I ended up just wiping my cache and davilk cache and now everything seems to be running smoothly. The stock tether app now functions fine without needing to reboot it. My cache must have been really over loaded. It took like 7-10 seconds to clear. Usually takes 1/3 the time. I'm happy now stuff works again.
If i do end up wiping later now I know I have to back it up first on my laptop. Thanks again.

Internal sdcard is not touched. Factory reset affects the data and partition and if in cwr you might also wipe system. You can wipe. Sdcard with an option but it doesn't by default.

I had to do a factory reset from stock recovery awhile back and my internal card was not touched.

Ya I totally mispoke my b. Internal card not touched. Sorry!

Well I ended up wiping because it was still acting funky. Now my phone is worse off. Ended up wiping 3 times. Forgo to make a clockwork backup. The titanium backup I made failed miserably and any apps I tried to restore it would hang up on. End up force closing after 20 min of trying tto restore the first app. Wiped again because it wouldn't boot. Sat there for 30 min, booted but still showing boot animation. Wouldn't show normal screen until I powered it down.
Now I have 7he bare bones apps on that I need. However tether it totally broken. Nothing can connect to it now. Not my xoom or 4 other laptops. None can get an IP address. Rebooted everything. I'm incredibly ticked off. Wiping it made the phone function worse. How does that happen?

If I wipe my internal memory card will that ruin any tweaks and such?
I know I will remain rooted but what about my cwr and my supercharger?
Basically my memory card is filled and I want to start fresh!

Maybe. Not hard to replace though. I have done that a few times but I never use any tweaks lol.

I think if you wipe internal sd you will lose all your build.prop and other back ups that v6 makes and places there
I wiped it and did a days wipe as well. Started fresh. Installed all speed tweaks. My phone is flyyyying!

Have a look at the attached photo, can you tell me what is happening?
All I did is moving apps to sd from the application settings...

I also had this once. I restarted my note and the problem disappeared. Have you tried that?

They usually look like that when the SD card is not mounted. Did you try to unmount and mount the card again? Or reboot the phone?
The SD card is mounted and I've rebooted the phone so many times, but no luck!
What confuses me more is that I'm still able to move apps to SD card and use them as long as I didn't turn off the phone, then this will happen to the newly moved apps to SD.

Didn't work...
My final resolution was link2sd; which is great but not perfect!
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Still happened after a factory reset and doing link2sd...
I really don't know what's going on! Help?
Maybe the card is faulty then? Have you tried with another one? I don't see any other sensible explanation.

I had this problem and it was due to a faulty micro sd card

Tried another MicroSD that I've successfully used before, but no luck...
Same thing!!!!
Is there away other than Link2SD or Android native Move2SD methods????
I tried swapping external SD with internal storage, but I was still limited to 2GB (actually 1.8GB...)
Thanks.........

Was hoping to see a solution here.... I have this exact same thing happening to me on my Galaxy S4. Moved the apps to the SD card and they are now greyed out. I can still use them however. very annoying.
Running Cm10 nightly ( January 27th).
S-On
Everything works like a beauty...
EXCEPT
I have gone through about 5 different processes to get my internal SD card to register but it won't.
My 32gb SDHC class 10 is working fine.
There is 3.81GB Total space registering under internal storage
Internal storage (area 2) only gives you the option to Mount SD card. I have tried mounting from settings and from CWM.
Give me any ideas to get it working again please!
It has removed the ability to use the stock camera and gallery apps as well as install swiftkey.
On a secondary note: Which kernal would be suggested to overclock Cm10?
Someone needs to talk to hansoon...
Clockworkmod screwed you up...
Switch to twrp...
Mount it via USB to windows and see if it can be formatted there

Yes clockwork mod should be removed from this forum it causes too many problems and we keep saying use twrp or wcx

Booting in WCX
I booted to wcx and it still won't mount the / sd-ext
I am used to CWM on my touchpad is there any advice you have to fix this through WCX
And so far thank you very much! This is my daily driver and I had no choice but to go to a custom ROM and I am really not familiar with HTC rooting or WCX recovery.

It can be formatted by USB-MS booting through WCX.
Should it be formatted to Fat32?
And is there going to be anything major I have to re-install afterwards? All my roms and zips are located on the 32gb card.

Yes Fat32... and anything that's on the SD is going to be gone.. but there's nothing you can do at this point but format.

Thanks Homeslice!
It was running without it for a while anyways so no loss to data. All seems to work again!
I apparently was using WCX the whole time I just typed CWM. Clockwork works great on the galaxy and touchpad.
Most devices it does. Ours in unofficial and has had problems from the start
Uhh dude...
Sd-ext is the darktremor apps2sd partition...
