Hi everyone,
My x2 is a vodafone, imei unlocked, stock 2.2 and CWM.
Im in the USA now and im using an iphone here so i wanted to update the x2 while not using it.
I read that lg will update trhe x2 to ICS and i had a pending update on my phone which i couldnt install due to a CWM.. Thinking it might be the ICS i went ahead and removed the CWM.
I removed CWM with "r1-stockrecovery-2x-unsigned", This did allowed me to boot into stock recovery. backed up all my data, did a factory reset and looked for update via wifi.
it found the update, downloaded (it was a small file, so no ics i assume), rebooted it self to install the update and thats it.
Now it boots to the LG logo and it stays there.
power Vol- goes to recovery for a brief moment (15 secs or so) and then back to LG logo.
What i have tryed so far to no avail: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457582&page=2
Uninstalled all LG drivers and software from system, W7 64 bit.
I have downloaded 2x-nvflashdrivers and 2x-v10b-1300166062-nvflash
My comp detects the phone while in recovery mode, but wont take those drivers, hence NVflash cant detect the phone.. Once the phone goes out of recovery more my comp no longer sees the phone as connected.
I know its a lot to read but wanted to clarify in detail as much as i could so we all are in the same page.
UNBRICKED P990 - optimus X2
FIXED!!!
Thanks to a guy on you tube for directions, seach for user "iPhoneIac" tittle "LG Optimus 2x - How to flash to stock rom"
Program used:
SmartFlash P990
SmartFlash drivers, if u see modem driver not working under windows try to do the flash anyways.
Youll need ISO and FLS file as well. I found an open european set.
i can post links but im not sure if its allowed here, if it is let me know and ill post them so others can benefit from it.
Now that i got the phone working i can keep experimenting, i know how to unbrick it now

Weird.. you tried NVflash but can't find it.... yaaaaah
Phone is just hardware... you make it P990 by flashing compatible rom with this hardware. what key combination are you using ? some phone need battery in or out too.
Please decribe more. WHat you have? what can you operate? We can'rt jhelp you if you ddidn;t want to help yourself by talking us thin things.
Make sure u have the LG drivers installed and refer to the following thread for how to NVflash, u may have missed a step or the NVflash drivers are not installed. [ROM] 25 Mar: NVflash stock ROM release: v10b dated 1300166062 (15/03/2011)
First try to re flash a baseband.... Then go with nvflash
I managed to fix it, a link what helped me is in my other thread in the Q & A sector (the right one )

Solution was using smartflash, and i've done everything right but when smartflash doesnt detect the mobile, and yes apx was correctly installed according to the instruction.. how do i make smartflash to detect my phone?
Thanks
its not too dificult to find permanent second thread in development section. and there is multifunctional solution for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2020737
Hello, this exact same thing happened to me, don't worry, your phone isn't dead.
First you might wanna recover your phone so you can calm down a little by knowing that your phone is alright. To do that you have to look at the LG logo that appear when trying to turn on the phone, if it's white with white letters, you are on Gingerbread partition, if it's Red (kinda of pink) with white letters, then you have the ICS partition.
As soon as you see that, you have to download from this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1969797 a toolkit that will recover your phone so you can use it again. If you saw a white LG logo, then download the Gingerbread version of the toolkit, if you saw a red logo, then download the ICS version of the toolkit. To recover your phone just follow the instructions in that post and in the program.
After that, you can relax a little by know that your phone is ok. Know you might want to try using Smartflash to upgrade your phone to ICS.
I also had problems, when using Smartflash do update the files 1 by 1, mine stopped halfway through.
Still having wifi problems though

Hi, I'm new here and I have a problem with my phone. I searched for the resolve, but there was nothing that really helped. Also sorry for my english, it's not really good.
So I just have a problem with my phone, apps were stopped after I run them and when I tried to restart the phone I started to loop on boot. I managed to restore the kdz using LG Flash Tool 2014 and kdz named D280n10c_00_0111 (yeah, I know it is for another model but after typing my IMEI that is what I got).
I was happy and tried to get a CM 12 with Android Lolipop next because I felt confident that I have a kdz and can quickly reinstall if sth goes wrong. So at first I try to install flash CWM.
I did everything like that kid - sorry i can't give you link to YouTube so the name of the vid is "How to flash CWM RECOVERY on your LG L70" by Captain Techdog28 and ended up with black screen. Everything is working, the phone boot up, I can call someone or send a text, install apps and I can see what I am doing because I'm using [email protected] ver 1.2.
I'm not sure if I didn't do any mistake in commands when I was trying to install CWM.
I can't get recovery or Firmware Update screen so i can't use kdz too I guess.
I tried using LG L70 autopacher and installed TWRP too.
ROM Manager shows that I have installed Clockwork and TWRP
I don't really have any idea what I can do more to repair it. Can you guys help me in any way?
Thanks for any help you can give me.
EDIT: Oooops, I screw up more, now I can only use fastboot and nothin else.
LG L70 hard brick unbricking tut
Follow this thread and check my reply there. I have posted the whole process with links.
