GameStop Receiving/Shipping Info

Fact 4: Gamestop will be taking Nook Colors for trade in credit, BUT no prices are set yet, and they may not be setup in time for usage towards the Nexus.

I decided to further investigate by speaking to a GameStop employee on the phone. The employee I spoke with was very helpful and polite and she asked someone who was higher-up than her about the release dates that us who pre-ordered at GameStop have received. She told me that the dates we were receiving were estimates and that if they had the tablet any sooner we would be receiving an email or text message depending on where we ordered.
So I'm glad I cleared this up and I'm really hoping that I don't have to wait until August to get this tablet in my hands!

I have heard varying dates, from the 31st to the 7th, seperate waves of shipping, and other odd practices.
Does anyone have any solid data, or reasons for the two week delay compared to play?

Honestly, I don't think that GameStop even knows. They probably just gave the 31st date when the estimate was 2-3 weeks. Now that some people have reported that it might be 3-4 weeks from Google Play, they probably pushed the order back again. I think that they'll probably have it earlier than the 31st for the people who pre-ordered in the first wave. It's probably just to be safe.

My receipt is the same as yours only it says nothing about a "wave." I'm hoping that means that I'm in the "first wave"

I was told by a Google phone rep that if you ordered before July 1st you're in the first wave. I'm not sure how that applies to Gamestop orders but that's how they're handling play store orders.

I can now confirm that the dates GameStop are giving people are just estimated dates and not the actual date you will be receiving your Nexus 7. I emailed them last night asking if the dates were estimates and this was the reply I received:

Thats makes me happy. Waiting for August 7th is like waiting for Google I/O on June 5th
i think it will release July 13th. Staples is set to release July 12-17th Hopefully same for gamestop

I preordered my N7 from GameStop on July 3rd, but my receipt doesn't say anything about a wave, so I'm assuming I'm in the first wave.

Hi if anyone else here has ordered from the Currys store in uk please discuss it here shipping and dispatch confirmations etc so far Currys is stating 19th July as arrival date.

I don't know why but I have 2 nexus 7 tablets showing on my order page. One of them is showing the delivery date and the other is showing the same thing as your picture. I have only been charged once though. I ordered on the 29th

The second order (it's # is 96 on from the other order) shows as "Delivery within 3-5 working days Thu 19/07"
Bit miffed they took the money from my account so early, and obviously might have the hassle of having to return a bogus order..
Still £189 (and I whopping £2.37 tracking in quidco) is good enough, I can always let a mate have one at cost , £189 ain't bad..
Plus I have a Google order I made within a couple of hours of launch, I'm hoping that comes next week!

I have 3 orders showing and to be honest I have no idea how their system works. 1 showing 'delivery soon as stock etc..' and the other two states '3-5 working days 19/07'. I called them a day after I found out. Chap on the phone said it should only show 1, asked him to cancel the two dormant ones. He said he did, but they were still there. However I was assured only one payment was taken.
The whole thing just seems like a shambles, we shall see.

My wallet account is unchanged, though it does show my order. I've seen several reports including a friend of mine who ordered days after me getting their shipping emails. Does Google not ship their product's in the order they received? Anyone who ordered that first day early not have their shipping info?

At least, when you call their hotline, they answer your call in the order in which it was received!! Not sure how shipping the newest orders first is a good business practice. (Based off the thread with all the order information, I believe there is a clear pattern to shipments)

I'm frustrated because I'm not allowed to cancel an order that was not charged. Was not shipped. Was not communicated. Is it not clear to all that they dropped the ball with LIFO shipping??
This is NOT about the set expectation of 2 to 3 weeks! That is completely understood! This is about how things in life work! Waiting in line for concert tickets before they sell out comes to mind. There were plenty of people watching the keynote. Google fans, press, and competition. As fans which ordered their device as soon as the order site came up, why are we being made to wait at the back of the line??? And people that were slow to pull the trigger are getting all their shipping info first??? Am I missing something? Is this bizzaro ordering???

Ordered a 8GB during the keynote on the 27th + ordered the gray case. No information received yet. I already picked up a 16GB model at Sam's so I am going to return the 8GB to Google Play... but I would love the case!

I ordered on the 28th and I haven't been charged or seen shipping.
I also ordered the case, so maybe that's holding up my status change.

I was late to the game compared to some of you other guys. I preordered the evening of the 10th. A day later I was charged, which told me maybe it has shipped? I've received nothing though, and I can't seem to find a way within Google Wallet to check the status of the order number.
I can't argue though, since a lot of you guys ordered far before me and are still waiting. But I share equal curiosity in regard to having some sort of further notification on the subject.

Play store on June 27th. Got tracking # on Saturday. 16gb. No case.

You aren't telling the entire story. Did you order a case with your order? Nearly all the orders I've seen that haven't processed yet were ordered with the case. There are many stories in the sticky post.

Well amazon was letting you order them the whole time. I bet the ones placed last week ship much sooner thant the ones placed today. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they're overstating it to look good when they do ship. However maybe I shouldn't get his hopes up...
EDIT Just noticed they've removed the sentence "Chrome cast orders .... two to three months" from the page

I had placed a order for one when it has JUST become soldout on amazon since I was the idiot forgetting how google stuff sells like wildfire. My friend had made his order that night around midnight. I got a notice on the 30th from amazon that mine had shipped and thanks to my prime shipping it may show up today(saturday) if not monday the latest. His on the other hand had not shipped yet as of Friday.

I ordered mine on July 25th, just received an email with the expected delivery date of August 21st... Crap.

I guess orders dropped significantly when people saw they had to wait 2-3 months, so they removed it. I think the time window they stated is still accurate.

I'm sure the 21st is the latest it's going to arrive, and they probably gave the date to everyone who ordered it regardless of when they ordered it, and the August 21st date is only for the people towards the end of the queue. Either that, or that's when their second batch of Chromecasts are arriving. Lets hope it's the former.

I ordered mine on July 24th, and it's supposed to arrive today (Aug 5). I guess I was one of the lucky few to get the Netflix deal as well!
I've been waiting for something like this for a very long time, since the Nexus 7 has no HDMI out, and I've had a few Google Play movies that I would like to watch on the big screen. I've been using AirParrot with my 2008-vintage MacBook and Apple TV, and the video playback for Hulu and other websites is pretty poor. I'm really interested to see how Chromecast does.

Strange, I have ordered mine few hours after the european release and it is arriving in a few days..

I ordered it 00:25 GMT and it will be delivered on Dec. 6.

Well ordered also same day they published it in Europe....and will have to wait rather long...

I ordered my 128gb 3T 5 minutes after launch. (UK)
Originally was estimated 31st November delivery, this jumped to 6th December
Then I got it today. the 30th. Got UPS notifications yesterday to say it had shipped!
Overall very happy so far!

Ordered on the European launch day and replying to this thread with my shiny new OnePlus 3T 128gb. Sorry, I know it won't make you feel any better but I have a story to share.
I stayed up till midnight to order my OnePlus 3T. Soon after midnight, I got hold of 128gb version and it showed in stock with immediate delivery. Once my order was placed, I checked the order page and it showed delivery for 28 Dec instead. That was sad. I went back to the store page and checked the delivery time and it now showed 5 weeks. I thought I was out of luck and missed the opportunity to get the phone early. I contacted the support over chat and asked them the reason for this. They explained that the availability and shipping dates are updated directly from the manufacturing and we can only trust what's mentioned on the website.
I closed the chat and went back to the store and this time it showed me 128gb version again in stock available for immediate delivery. I added it back to the cart and checked out as quickly as I could. This 2nd phone that I had bought showed the shipping date of 29th Nov, whereas my first phone was still showing 28th Dec. I found it very strange but at the same time happy that I managed to find one that is available for early delivery. I went ahead and cancelled my first order.
I received my phone today. This just exposed some serious issues with OnePlus ordering and delivery system. I cannot complain but I can really understand what went wrong with your order.
Hope OnePlus will be able to identify the issue and send you your phone quicker.

a few minutes later it changed to 6.Dec
2 days passed until it's finally shipped.
Today I checked the DHL website, it seems the phone is actually dispatched from Berlin. On the exact same day when OnePlus mailed me it's been shipped off.
DHL says it's gonna be delivered TODAY before 1 pm.
I think this proves that phones already arrived in Germany before its release.
Whoever orders it early, gets the units from OnePlus's EU ware house. Whoever did that later, gets the units from China.
Does it make sense?

I plan on ordering a 128GB very soon, and these lengths are a bit ridiculous. Maybe those dates are just the latest on when you'll get your phone, but you'll likely get them sooner as soon as they are in stock again?

I was emailed on the morning of 28th that it was at my local O2 drive one and a half hours to get it to find that it wasn't there while people where buying them in front of me :crying: but getting delivered by Thursday morning :laugh:

I live in The Netherlands and my OP3T 128GB arrived yesterday from Poland. The shipping and delivery was insanely quick.

Yeah, I asked OnePlus support folks and they said it's coming straight from the warehouse. I couldn't careless about where it's coming from as long as it reaches me quickly ?
Loving the device so far! It's a little too stock for my taste but I'll find the apps for my usage.
