I have htc G1 mobile with had android software.
It is stuck on G1 logo when i start it. I have flashed the software from mobile.
I have downloaded the new software from web into the SD card but now I am pressing Home + power button to start the mobile in config mode to run new software update.zip file but its not working.
Summary : power + home buttom is not working to boot the mobile.
what to do.

Hey.
Have you tried accessing fastboot mode (power+camera)? I had that problem just a few days ago.. to be honest I don't know what caused it or what the fastboot has anything to do with this.. but when i entered fastboot and then reboot the phone from the menu, it started working again.
Maybe you can try that and see if it works for you as well?

If camera+power, home+power, back+power does not work and it's looping on G1 splash screen. You have a brick. The only way to fix that is jtag.

I search a response a lot but nothing.
I try tu update my htc dream/g1 phone and now he is doing loop reboot on screen logo.
I try to go on every menu (menu + power key, home + power key, back + power key, camera + power key) but i can access to these menu.
Do you have a solution or my phone's break for ever.

can you grab an adb lolcat? the boot loop could honestly be due to any number of reasons .. also try to reboot with CALL+MENU+END and then while it starts hold down HOME button ... if you get to recovery then you're not bricked
I can't connect to adb shell (i start my phone and try to list device with adb: i see nothing)
And start with CALL+MENU+END doesn't work (continu to reboot)

I try to start my phone with trackball hold down and power button and it get me a black screen and the phone led is BLUE.

I have the same problem. The phone is totally original. It started yesterday when, for an unknown reason, the com.android.phone not responding started to popup.
Now the phone seems to be in a eternal loop on the HTC boot screen with the annoying chime.
I can get into the fastboot mode, but the phone is not in debugging mode...
At least the phone is still under warranty.
If you can get into fastboot or recovery you dont need debugging on
I fixed the problem by doing a hard reset. I lost everything, but at least the phone is working as new.

And yes, 3 identical copies in 3 places isn't unheard of.
Concerning my contact, I though they where sync automatically to my google contacts, but it wasn't the case.
What are the best backup apps for android?

Yes I did. It solve the problem, but I lost everything that wasn't backup.
wavesecure is good it backs up sms contacts and pictures and call logs i think it also helps you when your phone is lost its in beta but still works

I was trying to flash my diamond with mtty, where i guess i messed up with commands, I formatted it, then tried to restart with "task 8" then my phone turned off and never on again no matter what i did or key pushed.

Update ROM by using the BootLoader
Hello there,
even though you can't boot into your OS in the Diamond, there's a way to enter "BootLoader" mode. I'm not sure it works, but you can give it a try.
Here's how:
- Connect the Diamond to your PC
- Enter bootloader mode on your Diamond: with the device turned on, press and hold the volume down button along with the power button, then press the reset button with the stylus tip, then release the volume down and power buttons when bootloader tricolour screen appears.
- Use the ROM Update Utility. If the previous step worked and your connection is working, then with some luck you will be able to Flash the Device with the ROM update utility.
I've tried to find the thread that discussed this with pictures and such but couldn't. You might want to look for similar instructions

does anyone managed to JTAG diamond?
Recently my mobile fell down , after that i am facing below issue,
1.Holding volume down+power button is not getting me into bootloader mode.
2. Holding camera+volume down+power buttons gets into bootloader mode but i cant do hard reset using any combinations(including left+right softkeys and hardreset button )
3. Also unlocking using power button opens a hell lot of windows instead showing home screen
I guess this has to do something with hardware
Can this be rectified somehow?

ok got ace with phone is in boot loop the phone is in normal format just keeps going threw samsung logo screen known has bootloop unable to go in recoverly mode with holding home button and power button.i think i need to flash phones motherborard with drivers ao android can boot but have no idea how to please can someone help

1 - turn phone off.
2 - hold down home button.
3 - whilst still holding down home button hold the power button down to turn phone on.
4 - when you see Samsung logo let go of the power button but keep holding the home button.
5 - when you see the recovery menu you can let go of the home button.
What did you do to the phone for this problem to occur?
ok this is new to me so once downloaded mdm file then what do i need to do.was doing nothing to phone when bootloop occured and wont go into recovery mode have tried many times.

Have you tried to boot the phone into Download mode?

Hi comunity, a few days ago I got this Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini GT-I8190, and it's locked with too many pattern attempts. Anyway, as usual I wanted to perform a hard reset so I can fix the problem, but apparently from here is the big issue. When I try the key combo (Volume Up + Home button + Power), the only thing wich appears is the loggo of the mobile then it shuts off, and when I try once again just boots normal, without going to recovery mode. Same thing with download mode, I can't acces it. The only key combination wich apparently works is Vol UP + Power and then it says "POWER RESET or UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE". I can't go in recovery trough ADB because the mobile have USB Debugging OFF, so any connection with the pc is f**ked up. :crying:
Concluzion: No acces to recovery mode or download mode, no acces to mobile settings, imposibble conection with a computer, how the hell I should fix this mobile? Any ideeas?
