[Q] please help me! - XPERIA X8 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

i am using free xperia x8 recovery v001 to update my phone to minicm7 android 2.3.. i folo step by step from the webside.. but when i was installing the minicm7.. it say
This is baseband is not compatible with this ROM update to baseband : m76xx-tsncjolym-53404015 first
Cannot install
Install from sdcard complete..
can i noe how to solve this problem?
anyone please help me!

thats not a problem just update ur phone with PC companion

Try with other roms, and see if which is your baseband number maybe its just and rom bug....
P.S. if you use PCcompanion to update your phone it would go back your phone to 2.1 and after that you need to root your phone again and install xrecovery and cwm again

Did you try using Odin and flashing back to Stock ROM?
From froyo to gb or ics you have to flash with odin, tick gb-bootloader and repart ...try this
Go back to froyo dont need bootloader and repart ...

[Q] Custom kernel and baseband issue

Hi. I am on GingerDX v024 now and i wanted to flash Alfs 8a kernel, and when I did, I stuck at infinite bootloop (Alfs logo>reset>alfs logo...and so on) I flashed then older 8 version, and even stock kernel but it didn't help. Only way to fix it was by flashing it back to stock 2.1 and again install GDX v024. So now there is a question: my baseband is 006, is it the problem that I'm stuck on bootloop after installing a kernel for this ROM? Thanks in advance!
Sent from my X8 using Tapatalk
You surely need a newest baseband xxx015. You can update your baseband by PC companion.
Then reinstall the rom, full wipe then flash alfs.
Thanks for reply Can I do this via Flashtool (because Companion doesn't work)? And which .ftf file should I choose? And can I do this on current GDX v024 or flash it back to stock 2.1??
Yes, you can use FlashTool. Download the ftf file from here. Isn't necessary back to stock 2.1
So if I have E15i, then I should go for "E15i Baseband 015", right? I'd rather ask ten times, than crying after bricked phone

Yes, you're right

[Q] Need help installing stock kernel and firmware

I have X8 with 2.6.29.6- nAA -ics-04 kernel and MiniCM9-3.0.4-shakira installed.
Phone is turning off by itself and it's really slow so I would like to install stock rom.
I tried by PC Companion but it doesn't recognize device.
Can anyone help me with step by step instructions?
Can I just update with SEUS? I read somewhere that I should flash stock kernel first but I can't find how to.
I tried to search thread for this, but there's nothing for beginners.
Now I really NEED HELP PLEASE!
I copied Ginger DX rom on my SD card and install it, since thread said it runs with stock kernel and nAa kernel. (On other thread someone wrote that I need rom that supports both stock and nAa kernel for easier stock kernel install.)
Now my phone only shows Sony Ericsson start screen and that's it.I tried many threads for bricked phones but all links are broke and the ones I managed to download are not working.
So now I have W8 and X8 (E16&E15) Stock Kernel and X8i_2.1.1.A.0.6_Baseband_015, I also tried Xperia X8 (E15)_2.1 (2.1.1.A.0.6)_Greek (by Leajian) but all of them shows only Sony Ericsson start screen.
Also, when I connect to SEUS it says I already have latest software and I can't connect to PC Companion since I can't turn the phone on.
Please someone help me, I've been up with this all night and need my phone in the morning.
are you on stock kernel already? simply flash the stock ROM via flashtool. do NOT flash the kernel. then reboot. you need to have pcc installed too. and install the drivers in flashtool's /drivers folder.
edit: you need the stock rom .ftf file. not the baseband and kernel.

read first n second post
see here for instruction to change Firmware n cf root as i dont even know which cf to choose for ur build number (flash at ur own risk)
if upgrading to 4.2.2, flash 4.0 first (triple times, bootloop will occur), then flash ur chosen 4.2 ROM (twice or triple flash, error or bootloop will occur) without leaving recovery after flashing 4.0
bootloop common on upgrading process, juz use 3 combo button to go back, link given to change to jvu, as i dont find ur cf root. n 4.0 can be download on cyanogenmod website by searching sgs fone or galaxymtd, juz download da stable cm9.

here list of cf root, n indeed u dont need to change firmware for upgrading but IF u can identify ur cf root suitable, wrong chosen cf will cause bootloop until u find ur own cf root suitable for ur build number n bootloop will cease. well, juz read carefully

Just download unlock root, then activate USB debugging (found in applications-developer settings)and then plug your phone in, run the program. Unlock root should detect your phone. Now you press the button named root and volia! Within less than a minute, the phone will be rooted! (Installing unlock root will take time, just keep pressing skip then it'll be alright.
