Please help me!
I have "speedmod-kernel-i897-k13e-500hz" Kernel on my phone and it comes with CWM. I download the MIUI Captivate ROM from here
When i flashed it from SpeedMod Recovery then I said some code, booted then showed some code from the kernel, then booted. It repeated this... Scared, I pulled the battery.
Using Odin3v1.85 i Put a stock kernel on my captivate.
When i boot it, it shows the "AT&T World Phone" Boot screen, and It stays like that for DAYS!!! (Trust me, I know from experience)
I tried recovering an earlier backup but it says
Code:
.android_secure.img not found. Skipping restore of /mnt/sdcard/.android_secure
I have no idea if the above affects anything but any help is Greatly Appreaceted.
I use Win7 MacOSX Lion and Ubuntu 11.10 so if there is any help at all then tell it to me!
By the way, I can get into Download Mode and Recovery Mode but cannot get into USB Debugging Mode because i cant get into the OS.
Thanks in advance!
Anthony
In the development forum there is a sticky of stock roms, find the one that flashes KH3 with bootloaders, boogs kernel, and use it, it is a Odin program that does everything, bootloaders, repartitioning, and fresh install of gingerbread KH3. It also flashes a custom kernel which will give u CWM so u can reinstall MIUI.
Remember, don't pull ur battery next time

Here's a link for the Odin 1 click:
http://www.mediafire.com/?05nemq5yyn5fuqf
Also, if you decide to flash miui again, that screen of code you saw is normal. Just reboot to cwm when you see that and flash the miui ROM file again.
Hmm...
I will see if the first reply works.
Hi there, first time using odin to flash firmware on my galaxy s (used CWM for everything), and what do you know, it seems to have crashed
Can't link to the guide I was following since I'm new, but it was for XXJVU firmware, I was previously on Cyanogenmod 7.
So now I'm stuck on boot.bin, and have no idea what to do. I read on a galaxy SII thread that if I didn't tick repartition (I didn't) and didnt specify a .pit file (Unfortunately I did this) I was safe.
Should I unplug my phone and try to start Odin again? Or is there something else I should try?
Please help
try
try again.........................1} unplug ur phone and remove battery then again go to download mode......and connect it via pc { note,u must install galaxy s usb driver on ur pc,and remove kies from pc}....now do the process again.
---------- Post added at 11:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 AM ----------
have u select correct file in the correct path............in odin
thanks, same thing is happening again, so now I'm downloading XXJVT firmware, as long as I didn't tick re partition I should be able to fix it right?
Edit: Third try is the charm, got past boot.bin now on XXJVU, thanks for the help!
Hello all,
Let me 1st tell you what i did and how.
I tried to install Paranoid Android, But when it was not succeded, Bymistake to solve that stuck problem, i used darkside scripts of super wipe and cache wipe many times, and later i came to know, those were not made for galaxy note.
So flashed STOCK GB again via odin, rooted it, but when i tried to Install custom Anidroid, It got stuck at "Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 "
So i asked in forums, and one of senier member told me, that " when you installed darkside scripts which was not for Note, IT might had screwed your partitions. May be you need to flash again STock GB with four files like PIT, PDA, CSC and PHONE"
So i need help for
1) How to know if i have really screwed up partitions or not? (Bacause of Darkside Scripts). Beacuse Stock GB still works fine but not custom.
2) If it is, then how to re-partition? as i have only one file for stock GB firmware.
3) If i want STOCK GB firmware? then where will i get Stock firmware'sfour file, including .pit file?
4) I am willing to install Paranoid Android or Anidroid (PA is priority) So what steps i should follow now?
Now my phone is working fine on STock GB, but please help me finiding anwers ofabove quetions.
Thank You.

This is much easier , just flashing the already edited pit file , it has the fix for your partition , but by doing this you will reduce your internal storage capacity , may be by 2 to 3 GB

I would prefer manual way, as i could check 1st if there are any bad blocks or not, coz i am still not sure about it, but i am afraid, because last time i removedthat binary count with traingle away app, but now this tar file will also put that again, and my phone is only 15 days old, so i am afraid of loosing warrenty. Will this definately work? manual method? and can i later just remove that explanation mark and count by same way i did last time? also if i found any damaged blocks then what should i do? that post says if you have warrenty do not repartition, but then what i should tell people at service center so that they can help me without charging money?

Well I am afraid to say that you don't have your warranty right now . If you take your phone yo Samsung service centre in the current condition I.e with the exclamation mark they will simply reject your warranty claim . You can not even say a word to them after that

N I don't think thus procedure needs a rooted phone . You just have to flash the new kernel via Odin which let's you access the files via adb . And then start editing
. You must have android sdk installed in a proper manner else adb won't work . You must set the environment variable in your computers operating system and see to it that adb recognised your phone. Trust me its not that simple . Its extremely risky, one step wrong your phone is totally dead

Then I don't think you have hard bricked your phone . Cheers . One of the symptoms of hard bricked phone is that you can't flash any from via PC Odin ..it will get stuck at factory fs stage

I have a very good suggestion, don't mess with the partitions if you are a noob . The best thing I can ask you to do right now is flash a pit file using PC Odin . Select proper pit file depending on whether you have 16gb or 32 gb . I have the pit file for 16 gb if you want. Can attach it . And download checkrom revo HD v6 rom. Its one of the best pre rooted gingerbread rom

And I personally don't suggest anyone to follow those procedure . You must be brave enough to try those procedure cos it has extreme risk factor . So try flashing new 16gb pit file and try checkrom or if you are happy with the gingerbread rom then let it be . And if you don't have exclamation mark on boot screen and binary flash count set to 0, you can simply hand over your phone to Samsung service center and ask them to upgrade your phone to ics . They will do it for free

Try filling your internal memory to full capacity
The edited pit file is only for hard bricked galaxy note . Why do you want to reduce your internal memory size by precious 3 GB ??????
i have attached 16 GB origianl pit file

open pc odin , click on pit file and select the pit file extracted from rar , and check repartition and hit flash . I dont know whether it will increase binary counter. The repartition check box should be ticked . And if you are thankful hit thanks button Before rooting

Hello everybody.
I have a problem in my gt-N7000.
I tried to install the CM10, install normal.
I installed Gapps also normal.
When I went to wipe it crashed.
Now no more enters recovery mode, download mode only.
When I turn it only gets in this mensage:
"Formware upgrade ancountered an issue. Pease select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I've tried to pass other Stock Roms via Odim, but always hangs Odim.
I do not know what else to do, will my phone still has solution?
And have you tried that recovery mode in Kies?

I do not know if I can answer all your questions ... I did not root the phone.
I tried going through the kernel odin said that he caught up and in factoryms.img, as stated in the attached image.
Do not know if this is of great relevance but I can not give Wipe the recovery mode, it also crashes and resets the phone.

1. I don't know what you mean by this.? The was was not rooted or some one else rooted it for you?
2. The place where odin is stuck could indicate a brick. So you need to be precise in the info you give.
3. Did you use cwm.zip to install the rom directly on a non rooted phone?
If ODIN is working for you,
Get your mobile flashed with Philz Kernel by putting the TAR file on PDA.
Enter Philz Kernel in recovery and flash a ROM of your choice.
If you can't then u r a superbrick.

Sorry for my english, I'm using google translation.
I was using the official version 4.0.3, so I entered the reovery and installed CWM and the file to the Root. Shortly thereafter, without restarting the phone installed the CM10 and then the gapps. When I do the Wipe the phone crashed.
Since then, officials have spent several Roms by Odin and all lock.
I do not know if I was very clear on the information, but now the phone is locked it sansumg logo. And when he enters recovery does not wipe, lock and resets the device.
Again, sorry for my english.
So you have flashed cwm.zip and the the root file and then on the same temp recovery, wiped.? That is serious mistake and it seems a brick.

Hi guys...a friend of mine bricked his Gear 2 Neo when he was trying to flash the stock firmware with Odin. The problem is that he accidentally left the "Re-Partition" option checked and, after the flashing was complete, the Gear didn't boot past the bootanimation anymore. After the Samung Gear 2 bootanimation, the smartwatch just turns off (or the screen goes black, idk). Tried to flash again the stock firmware (and different versions) but nothing works.

man, im not too familiar with flashing PIT files, other than trying to avoid it at all costs unless the partition table has been messed up. I dont think youre missing anything tho. Ive read that having to reflash the tizen tar.md5 a couple of times back to back with the reboot box unchecked has been a successful thing for some folks. But youre gonna just want to use the AP selection in Odin tho

Didnt want to create a new thread since I am having a similar issue and tried to use the solutions from this thread, to no avail.
I got a refurbished Gear 2 Neo as gift and it was working okay. However, some apps such as heart rate didnt function. Also, I couldnt transfer music to the device and some other things, so I decided to do a factory reset on it from the settings menu. Watch has not functioned since.
I can get to the reboot menu (continue, download, recovery, shutdown). If I press continue it will show the gear 2 boot screen, then the samsung boot animation =, then black screen. If I press download, it takes me to the download option and I can flash files through odin with no errors. However, when it reboots, same black screen. If I try the recovery option, same thing.....black screen. If it is of and I plug it in, it vibrates and charges, but I cannot get it to boot past the samsung animation.
I have tried flashing a PIT file, stock FW, tizen ROM......nothing works. I got a refurb because I wanted this exact watch, but it is discontinued. I am not new to flashing. I have a rooted and flashed a Galaxy s5, my current phone Note 4 and y current tablet, a samsung Note 10.1 2014.

Seems to have SoftBrick. I have no idea. You can't get into Recovery and it doesn't boot. Send it to Samsung for Repairing.

No longer soft bricked. I followed the recovery instructions from the android wear thread and I was able to switch back to Tizen
Going back to Tizen
BE ADVISED: GOING BACK TO TIZEN MIGHT PROVE DIFFICULT TO ANYBODY WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF THE WATCH, SDB, ADB, AND ANYONE WHO DOESN'T USE ODIN. DON'T PM ME FOR IT. IT'S WRITTEN BELOW. ASK IN THE Q&A SECTION PLEASE. THIS IS A DEVELOPMENT THREAD, AND THESE IMAGES ARE FOR DEVELOPMENT ONLY.
BE ADVISED (again): There's no PIT file for this watch. If your favourite flashing app for samsung phones requests one, use Odin. I know, I don't like it either. But we live in a world full of virtual machines with the ability to share USB ports. Now it's your chance to use them if you don't feel like installing Windows in your machine.

1. Flash this file: http://www.mediafire.com/download/3c...ll-Restore.tar
2. When it fails to boot and the screen goes blank, reboot to the bootloader menu and select recovery.
