[Q] galaxy s connection to pc thru usb

the only way to connect my GalaxyS to PC is running the KIES. If I don't run KIES it's not appeared in My Computer (although is charged).
I tried to use android screencast but it seems that the device in not recognized!
Any assistance pls?

also have this issue, although under some other usb connection modes my pc does recognise 2 external devices but can not connect to them what so ever

You can still use it as a usb mass storage. Only thing it wont do is updates. KIES is a known problem with many people. Some suggestion says to use the back USB ports. Some says to download the newest drivers.

Download mode problem...;(

Hi...i recently bricked my phone somehow by using ocla 2.0 and i couldn't access recovery or download mode.so i made the usb jig and it booted my phone to download mode and i connected it to my pc.....but my pc says "unknown usb device" error.....i have latest kies and usb drivers installed.....
plzzz someone help me or i'll go mad.....the phone is almost brand new and i have run out of ideas!!!!

First suggestion would be to try an removal of Kies then reinstall .
Or reinstall the USB drivers .

can not connect to KIES in download mode

My SGS can connect and synch data normally but it can not connect to KIES in download mode. Can someone help with that?

[Q] USB Problem + recovery

Hi all,
I have a huge problem. I dont have USB mode anymore. When I plug the phone to my PC, it doesnt ask me if I want to connect it as a storage mass. It is only charging; windows doesnt recognize a new device too, so I cant use nvflash.
Besides, I dont have the recovery mode, I cant use it to install an previous rom...
Can you help me please ?

I have the same problem on my G2x after flashing ClockWorkMod...

I had the same problem. I asked the retailer for an exchange. However, just before I returned it, the phone was plugged in to my laptop USB for charging and all of a sudden there was a notification saying that USB was connected. I had done a factory reset before this but it hadn't helped.
You could try enabling Hidden Menus and then in Port Settings try changing from AP USB to CP USB and see if it helps.
Also, try reinstalling the drivers on your computer.

Galaxy Ace could not connect to PC

Can you help me guys? My galaxy ace could not connect to pc. It is running on stock rom, android gingerbread version 2.3.3
USB debugging is turned off.
It charges when i connect it to my PC and it also shows "USB connected". but when i click "connect storage to PC" and click ok, it doesn't connect and shows SD card safe to remove, turn off usb storage.
Please help me guys. Thanks!!!

Did you install Kies on PC? or the drivers only?

You have change the cable, thread and did you download some pilot (like kies)?
