Battery not charging after flashing custom rom - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My dad's HD7 charged fine before but I installed HSPL and flashed Deepshining and everything worked fine. The problem is that the phone doesn't charge via usb or ac outlet. I know the charger/cable is fine because my Vibrant charges fine.
I don't think that the port is an issue because when I boot into HSPL it lets me reflash Deepshining (which I've done twice and I'm still having the issue).
If I want to go back to stock do I have to flash the original OSPL or can I just flash one of the "shipped" roms after booting into recovery?
Thanks.
*edit* Apparently it must have been a bad flash because I flashed back to stock and it works fine now

Kaiser flashing problem

Big problem here, though I don't think it's hopeless...
I flashed my Kaiser with HardSPL 3.34, then unlocked the SIM, and then properly set up an Android system on it.
Anyway, then I decided I wanted to go back to WinMo, so I found a stock ROM, and tried to flash it back with the KAISimg.nbh method by rebooting and holding down power+camera.
However, that image apparently contained an SPL image, and so I inadvertently flashed my phone back with a normal SPL (and unsuccessfully flashed the WinMo image). Now when I try to boot and flash using power+camera, it just sits there at "Loading...", and Android boots the kernel but can't seem to mount the file system on the SSD. So the phone is useless right now.
Is there a way to fix it or am I screwed?
EDIT: Okay, it seems I had to remove the flash drive, then boot with power+camera. I plugged in my USB cable and it went into USB mode, then I installed an official ROM from HTC's website. Seems to work now! To everyone who helped me in the parallel universe where I didn't figure this out: thanks!
For future reference, if you actually got HardSPL installed then you wouldn't be able to flash a normal SPL without going through some extra hoops. (That's the point of HardSPL). Although it will say that it flashed the SPL it will not actually overwrite the HardSPL.

problem after flashing froyo radio

hey guys,
i tried to flash the froyo radio to my nexus one, so i could use the new CM6.
after doing a titanium backup and nand, i connected the phone to my computer, logged to bootloader and ran fastboot devices. after i saw the ID i installed the new radio, and adb said everything is OK
after that, i was still in the bootloader and wanted to get into recovery for wiping and flashing from SD card.
i clicked on the recovery and then the weirdness started. first my WIN7 said new hardware was found and didnt install properly and my nexus got stuck on the start screen (nexus 4 coloured symbol and the unlocked gray lock). its been frozen like that for like 30 mins now.
what should i do? can i push the power button? is the radio flash gone bad? can i pull the battery out if all others fail??
please help, feeling kinda scared hehe
thanks in advanced for any help...
You had to reboot after installing new radio.
How did you flash it? Fastboot flash radio radio-something.img, while the phone was in fastboot usb mode (bootloader screen)?
If you flashed it using fastboot and it comlpeted normally - go ahead, disconnect it from USB, pull the battery, insert it back and power on the phone. It should boot normally.
thanks for the reply.
after waiting like a hour, i pulled off the battery and was able to get into recovery, and flash the ROM

[Q] I have two problems with my LG OPtimus 4x HD

Hi, I have two problems which I noticed with my LG.
1) It refuses to let me do anything like unlock bootloader, or wipe data. I tried wiping from recovery, and I tried wiping from system menu, I just get a screen which says it's going to wipe, but then an error, and I reboot and no wiping took place. I also tried to use the Toolkit for unlocking bootloader, and it seemed to be working, it booted into recovery, prompted me to press Vol UP i think if I wanted to unllock bootloader, and I did, and then it says that unlocking bootloader will require wiping data. I wait and I wait because it says please wait, but nothing happens, data is never wiped. I would like to wipe, flash other ROMs, but it doesn't seem possible. I'm running V20A, but flashed, not installed through LG software. Maybe this flashing had something to do with it?
2) I am having problems charging my phone. It's like the charger keeps connecting and disconnecting, as if I were removing and reattaching it repeatedly. I tried an HTC OEM charger, I tried a USB cable I had for 3 years and connecting it to the laptop, and I tried using my sister's charger from eBay. Of them all, the one from eBay worked best, it still disconnected from time to time, but not so much. It's like, at even the lightest touch, the charger disconnects, like it's loose. I tried these chargers with my sister's HTC Explorer, and they all work fine. I also don't have the LG OEM charger don't know where it is, but these chargers I'm using all used to work fine before.

1) Long story short plug your hone and flash it again with some other stock rom that is NOT for your phone's market and then try to root it and unlock it again if that doesnt do it then plug it again and update it regulary since lg will see that you have not matching rom with your phones market.(for example i have 20c euro xxx rom and my phone is for CWT network even so if i plug it in lg softwer i can update it to CWT rom).Be shure to flash OPEN Euro xxx version.
2) if you get that kind of problems even when you plug your phone to computer via USB then it is connector problem (at least i think so) and you should go and service your phone.
Keep in mind that this is just my opinion what should you do it isnt 100% working and it isnt 100% easyest way to do it.Try and see for your self.
P.S. after every flash make sure you do a factory reset of previous rom just to be shure.

Phone won't charge when on

Hello,
So my HTC is rooted and the bootloader is unlocked and I had a custom GPE rom on it. Everything was working fine for a long time. (S-ON btw)
So today I started experiencing problems with my HTC one. First off was that my device wouldn't follow my settings for auto-rotation of the screen. I wanted the screen orientation locked and it didn't want to listen. Then all of the sudden, I couldn't charge my phone when it was on. I could only charge it when in the boot loader menu. When I try to charge it when its off it shows that it is charging and then stops and glitches, then shows that it is charging again.
When I was connecting it earlier to my pc it was saying usb hardware malfunction (when my phone was off and I was trying to charge it).
I have tried a factory reset and it didn't help. Then I tried to put a new rom on the device and I wanted to use TWRP so I used fastboot usb to flash twrp. After I got the new rom on, charging still doesnt work. I can completely use the phone except I can't charge it while on.
What should I do?
Thanks,
Brent
EDIT: I can now use fastboot USB
I am now flashing a new GPE RUU to the device. I managed to get it to S-OFF. I hope this will fix the problem.
EDIT: It didn't fix the problem. I can still only charge my phone when its in fastboot usb mode. It also charges really slow. Everything else is fine though.

won't power on unless connected to charger

hi my m7 (att) started doing this annoying thing today, i go to power it on and itll load just past the kernel splash screen and then turn off, but works fine if connected to a charger, also can access bootloader without charger, my specs are below if that helps:
Rom: cm 12.1 latest nightly (as of post)
Kernel: stock cm 12.1
S-on/off: on
tampered displayed in bootloader: yes
Recovery: TWRP 2.8.6.0 (stock theme)
Gapps package: minimal (only play store)
what i've tried:
factory reset
re-install rom
clean flash rom
wipe cache
wipe sdcard
holding power+vol up and down for 2minutes and letting it charge fully
taking off back cover and reseating connections
what i haven't tried:
fastboot flashing boot.img
anything else that you guys may come up with that hasn't been listed
please help this is my only (semi-current) working (previously) phone, i just need a temp fix till my Oneplus One comes in (at the least)
anyone got any ideas?
currently working on turning s-off and just tried flashing boot.img via fastboot so far no good
new discovery, it seems to be partial to 2.1 amp+ chargers
ok i've decided that it is the battery going, based off of the fact that it load bootloader mode (very low power consumption) and only turns on with 2.1 amp chargers i feel tells me that the battery has gone or is very close to it, i will be ordering new one soon and will post back my findings
