Hi, I'm a senior in highschool. The academy that I'm in requires that we do a senior project over winter break that is relevant to our desired major in college. Since I'm highly interested in Android development and want to do computer engineering in college, I thought I would try to answer either 1) what truly goes on when you flash a custom rom. or 2) what makes android different than linux (something along the lines of that).
So now I would love to get support from any developers out there with any insight, interview possibility, if you know someone who would be of great help, or suggestions for my project.
I will also be posting this in the general android forum.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
Although I have not posted here previously I have visited this site for information. It’s been quite useful in regards with flashing and un-bricking my k-jam. Thanks for providing such a useful information portal.
I would like to help out around with projects or anything in general. I am a retired experienced reverse engineer on an x86 platform as well as dabbling in arm on the palm many years ago. Although my previous reversing skill may have been used in black areas (removing completely & emulating DRM systems), I am quite interested in taking up a hobby with the Windows Mobile/Arm area to further the free development and use of these phones.
So if anyone has a project that I could help with please let me know I am more than happy to help.

Hello,
My name is Lancey David. Im the senior designer for G.G.G. (GoGetGadget.com). Our team are currently creating a technology news site similar to Slashgear.com and Gizmodo.com and looking for people who may be interested in joining our team. We are currently in development stage and looking for people who may be interested in joining a community and or help post news and or find information out on the web about new developments in the technology world. If interested reply, or message me.
Hello Lancey!
I'm a web design student. If you need any kind of help, feel free to email me. I'd be particularly interested in writing technology tips and tutorials (like I already do on my own blog).
Also, you should put a theme on that blog. Start with something free and buy a unique one whenever you make money from it.
hey,
the blog in which you see now is only temp. Matter of fact we are not touching that specific template at all. its just there for technical use. I will be emailing you tho, thanks!
What motivates developers on XDA to develop? I've always wondered this when following ROM's and asking for help.
I've seen a vast array of developers here on XDA, granted I only really stick to the sections for my phone at the time, but all developers I've encountered in each section are all, dedicated, master's of their trade.
Devs? What motivates you to build a ROM for a/your phone. Is it your career and you use XDA as a platform to hone your skills? Is it that you want ROM development to be your career and hope that you are head hunted for your awesome ROM? How do you deal with all n00b comments? *cough* Hacre *cough*.
Another question within a question. Have you as a dev or contributor ever been offered or hopefully, accepted a job offered to you as a result of your time here at XDA? (I don't think this question is against the rules, let me know and I'll edit.)
Anyways, I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say thanks devs, keep it up.
Hi, I am Tobi from London, UK. I am setting up a new development team for a mobile application platform connecting individuals to services. Currently I am looking for Apple developers to embark on this project. This is the first time I am using this forum to source developers but I was advised by a close friend. I have no expectations on who to work with. I am more focused on developing a useful business for the community outside.
About me
I have successfully developed a game application with a few friends at a young age which we sold for not so muchh but it helped pay my studies. i attend a lot of tech expo's. It is impossible not to get inspired with what is taking place.
I left the app creation world for a while but now I would like to create something different to help make some of our lives easier. As apps are do.
I would love to here from you. What you enjoy building? What are you passionate about outside of here? And who you would be one person you would want as a team mate?
Thanks for reading.
In a assignment I have, I'm supposed to interview a open-source developer, and I would like to interview someone in here, if possible.
It's more of a "Simple questions I have to ask" rather than a real interview, but anyways:
I wish to know why have you entered a open-source project, your motivation in development of said project and thoughts on the open-source subject (open-source community, open-source at all, etc)
Is it important for you that you work on a open-souce project? Why? (both yes or no)
If possible, answer as completly as possible, and sorry for any grammar mistakes or if I occupy your time.
Thanks in advance.
