It is pre rooted its the UK 3.2 version
Basically this when flashed properly will give you the same thing as Kies so it will wipe your recovery mod
But not to fear because it's easy to root

how to flash this?
Hi, I am new here.
Most of the instructions I see are for flashing a ROM in zip format using CWM.
This is a tar version. I think the proper way to flash it is using ODIN.
I have been reading and looking for instructions to flash a ROM in this format.
Can someone please point me in the right direction to find the instructions?
I don't want to brick the device by trying something without specific instructions.
If I am asking this in the wrong place, please point me to the right place.
tranks bro.
Tnx... gonna check this out

Update for telus milestone 2.2 finally here
http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/CA-EN/froyo/milestonenotification.htm
Finally, it's nice to hear....
Maybe we will.get a new kernel out of it
Sent from Milestone using iceandfire Cm7 Mod
I'm personally hoping that it contains a better kernel, which would explain the delay. Perhaps Telus insisted they fix a few of there mistakes.
Isn't it true that the Telus Eclair ended up being better then some others? If I'm remembering correctly, then perhaps that could happen again.
When it comes down to it, I can't fathom how Motorola f$cked us up so badly when they successfully delivered Froyo (and numerous subsequent updates) to the Droid without issue many months ago.
Any news ?
I don't think so, judging by MotoCanada's facebook page.
Lots of comments on there today
It's amazing how epicly Moto fails with release dates
As with many folks on this forum, I'll never buy a Moto device again.
But now that HTC is apparently locking bootloaders on the Thunderbolt and Incredible S (thunderbolt cracked, who knows about the future) I don't know who to trust!
It has finally arrived 2.2 Telus milestone
http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/Support/CA-EN/froyo/milestonenotification.htm
Post the download link after you get it. Last hope of getting a kernel free of errors.

I had to upgrade to KKA and then flashing CF kernel to get CWM on my Note. It is working now as expected (so far). Just FYI.

I just flashed the KKA rom with Odin from a Windows XP machine, then flashed the CF KKA kernel that is already rooted and has CWM inside (also with Odin). Just that easy.

You goit your phone from L2D2 also? Didnt i get a private message from you before?
From what i can tell so far, this will return me to stock baseband and build?
I want to get back to stock and if this is it, im going for it, ONLY AFTER i get the counter reset
---------- Post added at 04:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:21 PM ----------
Just ordered the jig ill need for resetting my counter. But im reading it will ot work on firmwares over 2.3.4
Does that mean i have to install a 2.3.4 rom, fix with jig, then flash factory (this posts) rom?
---------- Post added at 04:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:51 PM ----------
How would this rom be flashed?
I extracted the rar and got these two files
N7000UBKK2_N7000UBKK1_N7000UUBKK2_HOME.tar.md5
SS_DL.dll
Can anyone tell me how to flash this so i can get back to stock? Rename it, use odin, extract it more??????
Ok flashed with mobile odin. Rooting and waiting for jig to reset counter to zero. Going to try a hard reset later make sure that works
Why do you want CWM so bad Mecha2142

You probably figured it out already, but since there might be some newcomers like me that land on this thread, here's how I did it.
You should have Samsung Kies software installed to be able to detect the Android Phone.
Download odin3 v1.85 for Windows.
Run odin3.
Press 'PDA' button and select the file "N7000UBKK2_N7000UBKK1_N7000UUBKK2_HOME.tar.md5".
Don't change anything else.
Power off your phone, USB is unplugged.
Hold Volume+ & Home & Power to get into Odin mode in Galaxy Note.
Press volume+ to continue. (You should be in download mode now)
Connect your USB to the PC.
You'll see on odin3, the ID:COM port is lit up, and now you click 'Start' button in Odin3.
It should take a while since you are pushing 500MB+ to your Galaxy Note.
Haha 5months old reply. U where fast

Never used Overcom, sorry Autorotate works - what exactly should I look at?
It looks stable after few hours of playing with. No major updates compared to P7500XXKI1 but it looks pretty much OK for me.
The only annoying thisng I don't like in HC3.2 is that encryption requires password with 6 characters(including one number). Every time I unlock screen I have to enter this password...brrr - nasty.

Hey everyone,
If anyone has bought a new WiFi-only or 3G Nexus 7 in the last week or two, can you check and see if your device shipped with JDQ39B? If it did, please let me know. I need two pieces of information from your device. One is the value of ro.build.date.utc in /system/build.prop and the other is the bootloader version. You can get this by rebooting your N7 into bootloader mode. The version will show right on-screen. Also, if anyone has a 3G N7 with JDQ39B, please let me know the baseband version as well. You can find that in Settings - About Tablet.
Thanks!

The custom ROM definitely changes the build date. Thanks for the bootloader info, though. It appears new devices are shipping with JDQ39B while older devices are remaining on JDQ39.
If anyone can provide the UTC date from the stock JDQ39B build.prop file, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

WHAT THE!
I have an old device that was serviced in the ASUS repair in Ontario (man, I had to be patient when it shipped from Nova Scotia to Ontario (American? Don't know where Nova Scotia is? It's that island looking thing that's not an island at the bottom of Canada (don't know what Canada looks like? Jesus where did you go to school?))).
They gave me a new LCD which is what I asked for, and for some strange reason they gave me a new battery, writing "battery error" on my fix sheet. God knows why they did that, the battery was perfectly fine but who am I to complain.
I turn on my precious N7 when it gets here (did I mention I had to be patient when I waited for it to ship?). Bam, JDQ39B hits me right in the face.
WHO KNOWS IF I CAN USE WUFRESH'S TOOLKIT TO UNLOCK AND ROOT THIS THING. GOD DAMNIT NOW I'LL HAVE TO SPEND THE NEXT HOUR AND A HALF GOOGLING THIS EXTRA B TO MAKE SURE I DONT BLOW THE DAMNED THING UP.
(and knowing me, five minutes after my N7 arrived from the repair center, I'll of hard bricked it and will be packaging it up to ship off again).
You just wait and see!

If you don't mind, could you please get the value of ro.build.date.utc from /system/build.prop on the stock JDQ39B ROM before you do any flashing? Thanks!

Yeah sure but remind me again, do I have to root to gain access to /system/? I have a memory like a rock, not as solid as a rock just like a rock - lacking and non-existent in every single way.

No, you don't need root. Just open up your favorite file manager application, browse to /system and open up build.prop as a text file. Inside, you'll see a line that begins with ro.build.date.utc=<some number>. I need to know what <some number> is.
Thanks!

No problem, do you know if my bootloader version or this B will mess me up in any way if I attempt to install a custom recovery etc?

It'll be fine. That's the beauty of Nexus devices. Bootloaders never make it so you can't root or install custom ROMs. Nexus devices don't lock bootloaders down. Just use your toolkit as if it were JDQ39 and you'll be fine.

Thank you for your help, although the toolkit wasn't able to find my device, and I just hooked it up to the iMac and did an adb devices and don't see it either. Ehhhhhhh this is quite the mess.
edit: I'm an idiot, I was doing adb devices and not fastboot devices. I got it unlocked using the command line, looks like I'll have to do everything from it and not the toolkit. Bloody Windows. Didn't even need to install drivers for OS X.

Thanks for your help, I think it's a driver situation on Windows. Just going to look for a toolkit for OS X instead and if that fails I'll just do it all from adb and fastboot myself.

Doing it yourself is always better than using toolkits anyway. And it only takes an extra 5 minutes if that.

here you go... stock build.prop of asus zenfone 4

Could anyone copy and paste a stock build prop, I edited mine to make it work with a Samsung gear fit and while it works ok, the stock dialer and camera apps have stopped working, the camera also has a green tint and Ive had a couple of RR since. I realise in hindsight that I should have copied it before editing but it was 3am at the time and I was going on a long run at 6am so was trying to get the Gear fit working.

I have kitkat 6.5.32. Can I use this procedure to root?
Sent from my ASUS_T00I using XDA Free mobile app
Yes u can.
[Tutorial]
[For Newbies]
How to get on-screen soft keys
(navigation bar)
in Asus zenfone 4,5,6
[all versions]**.
Many people have trouble using the asus zenfone phones in the dark as there is no backlight for the navigation buttons. So this is for all of them.
Requirements
1.Rooted zenfone[4,5,6]
/*if u dont have root search in xda or google it*/
2.ES file explorer or any root explorer [I prefer root explorer]
Instructions
1.open root explorer and grant superuser permission
2.Navigate to /system/build.prop
[Find the build.prop file in the system folder]
3.open it with any text editor
4.type the line
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
5.after typing the above line, save it
6.reboot your phone
7.after reboot you can use the on-screen navigation buttons.
Incase if u want to disable them, just type 1 instead of zero and save and reboot. Thats it
[Optional]
If u want to use the on-screen keys Permanently and disable the hardware keys below the screen then use Buttons remapper android app[google it].
Even though this tutorial is available elsewhere in xda or internet, this guide is for newbies who doesn't know whether this works with zenfones or not.
Hope i helped atleast someone out there.
