i would like to know how to get debug output/logs from my xperoid im using the 2.1 android build by jerpelea(no idea if i spelt that right)
Insert the usb cable, boot into android. run the adb from android sdk (adb shell). You'll get the shell. Then, you can use the dmesg and other tools
i didnt think that would work since usb does not seem to work besides charging
but thank you sir
EDIT:
windows cant seem to detect the device
nor can adb see the device

So, I was trying to root my phone again,(I had unrooted it to get it fixed) but for some reason, my compuer(running windows 7) is not recognizing my phone in CMD. It does not show up at all in ADB Devices. I've tried restarting the computer, restarting the phone, doing a hard reset, and nothing seems to work! I really need to get this done before i leave for the weekend. (not that im being pushy, or saying HELP ME NOW, or anything, just, please... anyone that can help me, let me know what to do asap.
I had CyanogenMod 6 running, if that matters.

There are some issues with the adb drivers working on win7.... take the vista drivers and install them manually. If you Google it you find info on how to manually install them.
Ill post more later.

which sdk did you download and install? The adt bundle or just the sdk? The reason I'm asking if you install the sdk in a directory then change the path by moving it from the downloads folder it wont work.
my path is
C:/Downloads/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64/adt-bundle-windows-x86_64/sdk/platform-tools
also if you installed the sdk without administrator privledges it could cause adb not to work.
uninstall the sdk and right click on the setup file and select "run as administrator"
and see if that works
I'll give it a try, thanks
EDIT: Latest adt-Bundle

good news is your adb on computer is set up correctly.
bad news is either the rom or your phone is not seeing the usb cable connected.
Try a different rom and see if you have the same result.
Also if you have twrp for a recovery try to see if you can sideload a rom.
Damn it!
now i have to flash 8.0 from TrickDroid...
Hope 8.0 brings this feature!
Maybe this can help...
Is everything allright here?

that's a step in the right direction. Now try adb devices and make sure usb debugging is on
also installing htc sync should take care of the rest of those drivers. But you should be able to connect to adb now.

Hi im looking for some kind help, I'm pretty new to terminal and stuff, i was resetting my HTC One when i deleted my system files and the sdcard including my back up and Rom :cyclops:, I've got a mac and spent all day today trying to use ADB to push the rom back to the phone but I'm having no luck, any help would be appreciated, Kindest Regards Neil
Screwed my One the same way too. did everything I can. Eventually, ordered a USB OTG cable from ebay. transferred the rom to install onto a pendrive, connected it to the USB OTG cable and the phone and installed via that method. And everything is back to normal now.

adb work fine on a mac.
But you have to use adb like this command:
Code:
./adb push rom.zip /sdcard/
.
This command will work fine

Also, if you did full wipe, make sure you reboot recovery. I have a mac as well and use adb everytime I change roms.

Hi guys.
Noob question but I have been struggling to get adb working.
It shows up when I do adb devices but is constantly offline....
I am pretty sure its related to the device driver installed? Any help would be super thanks
