Hi im looking for some kind help, I'm pretty new to terminal and stuff, i was resetting my HTC One when i deleted my system files and the sdcard including my back up and Rom :cyclops:, I've got a mac and spent all day today trying to use ADB to push the rom back to the phone but I'm having no luck, any help would be appreciated, Kindest Regards Neil
Screwed my One the same way too. did everything I can. Eventually, ordered a USB OTG cable from ebay. transferred the rom to install onto a pendrive, connected it to the USB OTG cable and the phone and installed via that method. And everything is back to normal now.

adb work fine on a mac.
But you have to use adb like this command:
Code:
./adb push rom.zip /sdcard/
.
This command will work fine

Thanks will give it a try tomoz,
Also, if you did full wipe, make sure you reboot recovery. I have a mac as well and use adb everytime I change roms.

Hey guys. I'm running teamheroc rom from 11-30. USB mount is not working. Any help on getting it restored? It charges, but that's it. No notification in pull down. Thanks.
googled it up, but no solution that I saw.
Have you tried reflashing the rom? Maybe you had a bad download. I would re-download and check md5, clear cache, clear delvik, and reflash.
Also, have you tried different computers and cables...leave no stone unturned!
Hey. Thanks for responding. I've tried. Still not working. Have flashed other roms too and the option is not there with those either. Tried a different cable. A different pc. I remember when it was working...my pc for some reason changed the drive letter that was associated with it. Im using a app to connect to wifi now in order to sync. If you have any other suggestions I appreciate it.
Merry Christmas to ya!
I managed to borrow another hero. It's not rooted. It did connect to my computer using my cable though. Is it possible a file that was/is on my hero got corrupted during one of my many flashes? I looked on the borrowed one, but I don't know what I'm searching for. If someone knows the file and location on the hero that allows for the usb mount, I can try to copy from the borrowed one to mine. Thanks.
Its your pc. If it does it on every Rom you flash then it has to be pc. The drivers are probably wrong. Check out this link here and see if this helps you sir

Thank you sir! I'll check out the link and give it a shot...after the game With the other hero mounting correctly to my pc though, you dont think it's a file of some sort on my hero that has gotten borked, huh?
here's a real test of that then. while connected to the pc, boot to recovery. go to mounts and storage, click usb mount. Your pc either will recognize it or not. if it doesnt work try reloading pc drivers like I posted
Hello All,
I have been using Incredible S for 8 months now and had never faced an issue. Lately when i connect my phone to my computer, I get error message saying "USB not recognised".
Damn just as I planned to root and CFW my phone, I get this error :/ *sigh*
Can anyone suggest me any troubleshooting??
I have..
*enabled Fastboot,
*Tried different Datacables
*Tried different computers
*Installed HTC sync (for drivers)
Still get the error message..
Has anyone faced this issue.. Please guide me ...
23 Views and no reply?? Guys..
Have you tried a different USB cable? Could also be your USB port on your phone
If you're trying to access your sdcard why don't you use an adapter?
Lucky you get this error before you root and void your warranty

Can ADB detects your phone?
switch back to sense
I had the same issue in one of the ROM's don't remember which one (but no longer on my current ROM)
I tried everything. I was using NOVA launcher by default. Clearing the defaults and switching back to HTC Sense worked for me. Immediately my notifications had the option to choose between usb modes.
P.S I would highly recommend AIR DROID app and managing your phone and sd card via chrome browser. Excellent APP incase USB port is ^%$&*$ed

Did you read through this thread completely and try all of the suggestions?
So I accidentally deleted everything on my phone (including all the backups on TWRP) because I'm a dumbass. It says I have 'no os installed', so I'm currently trying to adb push a Rom or Stock RUU into my phone, but I can't because my pc isn't reading the HTC Drivers.
When I turn on my phone, I'm stuck in the HTC boot logo. I can still access the bootloader/recovery, though. So basically, I'm stuck and I don't know what else to do to save my phone :/
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. :good:
I'm pretty sure I've seen a couple similar posts...try searching all the Sprint HTC One forums

You HAVE to find drivers that work for your computer. Once you can get adb working you have to adb push the Rom to to the sdcard directory and flash regularly.
Obviously back up...again.
Or, second option is to download to RUU. I'm pretty sure that would work... Don't you probably want a second opinion on that one.

Hi, guys! I have a really big problem :/. Right now I'm using the stock 2.3.4 gingerbread from LG ,but you all know that this is the worst OS ever. I wanted to get rid of it but i cant connect my device to the computer. It's only charging. I need a way to root it w/o usb connection. Do u have any suggestions? It's not a software problem! Something inside the phone is broken and i don't know what it is. Is there a way to root it via bluetooth or SD card? I didn't find any apps to root it too. I know gingerbreak etc, but they dont work for 2.3.4. Thank you in advance and i hope there is a solution. :fingers-crossed:
I am afraid you can't. Replacing your micro usb port could solve your problem. I reccomend to buy a micro usb port which is already on the flexible cable so you can avoid ironing.

So i'll need this? I asked a staff member in a service station and he said that the port isnt broken. So i need the whole thing port+flexible cable? Is that what i should do? Thanks alot. stupid question: did you try another usb cable or usb port?
Yeah, dude. Of course. I've tried different settings like usb debugging on/off too but still nothing.
here are some articles you might want to check out regarding usb connection

i forgot how the mass storage settings in gingerbread look like but there should be an option to put the phone in "charge only" mode (which you should disable)... pressing menu key in settings > storage doesn't give you any options to choose?
In gingerbread you can only turn usb mass storage and usb debugging on/off. These settings didn't help. I'll read more about the first link you gave me and try it out.

This is quite challenge, root without usb connection. First idea I got to use ADB over WiFi, but this is available from ICS, not on GB.
Second idea - what I remember, some of root methods use APK installation over ADB by script. Maybe you can search for these script methods and place all required files on SD Card. Then try to execute commands by terminal on device itself to install and root.
It's just my idea, maybe wrong, maybe help.

Yes that is what you need if you have to replace your USB port but you don't have skills to replace only the usb port.
You can try gingerbreak to root your phone, but it maybe won't work.

Guys, the problem is not in the computer nor in the cable, it's in the phone. I'm 99% sure that it's a hardware problem. So i need to find a way to root or flash it without using usb connection.
i'm somehow sure that the real problem here is the device driver installation on your PC/Windows, not the phone...
btw which windows version are you using?
did you try checking out the AIO tool thread?

if you read the 1st post, you might find out how could it help you... especially if you use win 8 which caused problems for many other users when trying to install the drivers or trying to flash the phone...
I - Install APX (NVFlash Recovery) Drivers if not already installed.
It starts the windows device driver wizard to help you install the drivers needed for NVFlash. It detects your system OS and gives additional on-screen instructions needed if your PC is running Windows 8.
FYI: The drivers are located under ToolKitFiles\nvflash\driver folder.

I have a friend who has the same phone and he can connect it to his computer so everything is fine with his computer. Have you made sure that you have the latest Fastboot available? I always check using the Android SDK Manager before attempting anything with a new device.
Unplug the device and reboot it. Then, try again.
If that doesn't work, try a different USB port (preferably one that is on the motherboard itself).
Also, you can try removing HTC Sync. You can always reinstall it after.

This, HTC sync is good for syncing but tends to interfere with adb commands and stuff like that, most instructions tell you to remove it because of this.

I had to reboot my pc everytime the phone went into a different mode almost. System to bootloader to system. Windows 7! Finally got it rooted. It was so simple with the toolkit bit such a hassle since my pc didn't like the phone apparently.
Now to lurk in the threads here for mods and roms.

I've had similar issues with ADB and Fastboot not recognizing my phones after plugging them in. Usually a reboot of the phone and killing/restarting the service fixes the issue.
Glad you have it working now though. :good:
