I have an LG Marquee (seems to Sprint rebranded version of LG Optimus Black). I wanted to reflash my phone back to stock firmware, and there didn't seem to be a good set of directions out there.
Here's what worked for me on Windows 7 Pro:
Downloaded KDZ firmware from this site:

What state was your phone in? Mine is stuck showing the box with an arrow sticking out of it. I've tried this method with the phone in this state, off, as well as vol +, camera, power to get into "download" mode. None seem to push the fw to the phone.
Any ideas?
A couple of sites suggest trying to boot into recovery mode (volume down+power)
"Hold the Volume Down and Power Button until the soft keys start to flash, then release and you should boot into a recovery mode."

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, no joy so far. Windows 7 Pro too.
Volume down and power show the box with the arrow. Factory reset results in the same thing. The only thing that I think works is camera + volume up and power when connected to usb. It goes into a "Software download" mode. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to push the firmware to it. KDZ stops at 4% with no "spam" in the log.
I'm not familiar with adb, but I tried it anyways. It shows no devices found.
Seems like the R&D tool is the furthest that I've gotten. I place the phone into "Download" mode but the tool stops at 4%. Any ideas?

Still no luck. Hangs at 4%. FYI, I'm on Sprint.
Should I be in the "download" mode or just off?

As far as I rembember, is it nomal, that it gets stuck at 4%... It keeps on uploading, you just need to wait long enough, but u can find information on that somewhere here in the forum. Maybe just wait for half an hour or so, maybe u even see ur phone rebooting, dont exactly remember...
And download mode is fine i guess

Unfortunately, no matter what combination of buttons/computers/OS's I tried I still couldn't get it to push the firmware to the device. Wound up bringing it into the Sprint store and getting it replaced.
Thanks to everyone who offered up their help. Hopefully once Boost Mobile gets the Marquee there will be more attention on this phone.
Note to anyone who roots, don't uninstall applications via Titanium Backup.
These directions worked great for me. I had to do a factory reset afterwards and all the Sprint apps (that I had removed with TI) came back.

Had to do this twice already for deleting stock apps with TI.
Im done with trying to remove the bloat apps.
I've been trying this method to restore a Marquee stuck in a boot loop. Unfortunately, I can't get the phone to do anything past getting in software download mode. I plug in the phone, it gets recognized as a modem by Windows (a good sign) and then it immediately disconnects and the computer no longer recognizes the phone. Any ideas?
LG Marquee to look like LG Optimus Black
I have a Sprint LG Marquee but I would like for it to have the look and feel of the LG Optimus Black. I know absolutely nothing about ROMS or Rooting or Flashing. I just know that I would really like if my phone had the layout of the LG Optimus Black. Any suggestions on how I could potentially make this possible?

My phone was rooted by gingerbreak v1.2 and I used titanium back up to delete some apps. I have deleted some important system apps so I restart my p970.
It just gives me a Lg logo and not works. I followed the instructions and used the
B2CAppSetup to reover my phone. I use my 32bit computer and 64bit laptop to recover......but it's doesn't work!!
I think I should enter the recovery mode and download an offical rom ? right?
Can anyone tell me how to fix it?
The main problem is that I don't know what's the first step....I don't know how to enter the recovery mode!!

0 - download LG mobile support Tool. Install drivers before you connect phone.
1 - download KDZ Updater:

2 - unzip KDZ into KDZ folder on desktop. Install MSXML.MSI.
3 - download ROM to folder KDZ on desktop:

4 - remove battery from phone
5 - push VolUp button and connect usb cable. You will see "S/W update" on the screen. Then you can free VolUp button. Wait until all the drivers install. Disable LG Modem in windows hardware manager (Start -> Search -> devmgmt.msc -> hit enter -> expand Modems -> rightclick on LG Modem -> disable)
4 - launch KDZ Updater as admin (rightclick -> Run as administrator)
5 - click folder icon on the right part of window -> point to downloaded .kdz firmware file -> Ok
6 - on the bottom of window you will see Read phone information. Click it.
7 - click start update. DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING ELSE.
8 - wait and pray
9 - when flashing is finished phone will restart

hi, i already flashed my phone once with all the procedures you mention but somehow i bricked it while changing the theme on the boot menu so i had to do an emergency flash on it and somehow now i cant seem to downgrade it again. it always fails and gives me this message.

Rename those long file name to V10A_00.kdz
try to download rom with 10c european it did the trick for me and my LG is back alive .
Since my black aways had 10c since the beginning. So find the good ROM with match the version you originally had in your tel.
I can't post a link here so i have to find it your self

Hello , I have the same problem. did u find any solution
My LG OPTIMUS Black is tuck at LG LOGO. actually it all came after i installed xionia recovery. After rebooting, it never goes forward, always stuck at LG LOGO. I tried LG mobile update recovery, Flashzip tools using APbin and CP Binfiles, also tred with KDZ files.. but all in vain. Can any body help me please. I am really nervous. thanks in advance

so how did you solved it?
Soooooo, how'd ya do it? I'm stuck as well.
After flashing CM7 nightly and moving back to stock I can flash stock rom only once
What i mean is when trying 2nd time to flash stock rom from stock rom with R&D tool kit it gets stuck and doesnt finish off
So i can flash to stock say 10c coming from CM7 nightly
butn when im on 10c if i want to flash to 10D or any other version it just doesnt complete process of flashing and stays at previous rom
Dont know what im missing maybe any help would be appreciated thanks
So as a mater of facts the problem is not after flashing back from CM 7 but from flashing from stock to stock changing the name of the thread it will get a better reply on your issue.
And as an answer to your question... hard to answer I suppose that you did all the steps with clear cache clear data etc.
A better description of the steps you do when you encounter the issue will bring you a better answer.

Cleared cache dalvick reset data done everything
It never used to do this will try and get copy of log when trying to flash 2nd time

Maybe you can flash *.bin,this is full size rom.But when i flash from 10c to 10D ,i has done and could work.You'd better cheak your steps carefully.

Figured it out
now this is weird the software kdz files i had previously downloaded from another sited work , but recently iv been downloading from filesonic and none of their kdz files are working for my phone at all now downloaded and tried them all
anyway thanks people but they all work fine now
didnt realise i had origina downloads on other harddrive
this thread can be closed now

So basically,the the kdz file you flashed with earlier wasn't working,so you downloaded a new kdz file,flashed it with the new one,and it worked? Simple as that?
Keep only "V10E_00.kdz" as firmware name.

Been flashing Samsung Galaxy S1 and 2 for so long now little bit different from this phone , feel like such a noob now and thanks for pointing it out
Coming from rooted (aboot, ...) D405n v10d I tried the Resurrection Remix rom. I flashed with CWM, forgot to wipe data and am stuck in a boot loop now. CWM is gone . The only thing that seems to work is the download mode (Hold Vol+ while plugging in), but it says "USER B100 - ROOTED" below the progress bar.
Using the LG Flash Tool 2014 and trying also the original LG Mobile Support Tool I tried to unbrick, but on 4 Different OS (Virtual: XP SP3, Win7 32bit, Win8.1 64bit from modern.ie, Native: Win8.1 64bit) in many tries I always end up with an error after 2% Progress of software upgrade.
I found the logfile created by the LGUserCSTool.exe and the last error is always "TYPE_WPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR".
Please help, i'm stuck.

I have exactly the same problem. After a long investigate I understand the cause:
The phone is a LG L90 D405n but I loaded a D410 bootloader, so the LG Flashtool detects the device as a D410 phone so an error occurs when you try to install a D405n kdz.

I loaded a D410 kdz into my D405n phone, the load work using LG Flashtools but the phone turn in a bootloop.
Is there a way to force a kdz load into the phone? Or a way to edit the D405n kdz to let the LG flashtools believe that it's a D410 kdz one?
any solution?
