Just installed Lapse It pro.. I am rooted and rocking Liberty 3 rom.. anyway to disable the shutter sound globally?..

* *

Use root explorer
Go to /system /media/audio/ui/camera click.ogg.
Add. Bck to the end of the file name. Then you are done!

There is an application for Motorola Devices, but you have to be rooted, do you want me to post a link?
You can instantly turn the camera sound off, then on, in just a click of a button.
Please note, you must be rooted to do this, the same applies to the above posts.

There is an app called "Sensor Camera" that will allow you to turn the shutter sound off amongst other useful things like using the volume key as the shutter as opposed to the touch screen.
It has been a little buggy for me though, so I would like to hear other non-root suggestions as well.

[Q] How to disable screen capture sound with Tasker?

Hi,
I am using a TW-based ROM (Criskelo) and I'd like to disable the screen capture sound without having to completely mute the phone.
Preferably I'd rather not delete the actual sound file as I'd have to do it whenever I upgrade the ROM.
I already did something similar to mute the camera sound with a Tasker profile, but I can't see a "screen capture" event or app in Tasker.
Have I missed this in Tasker?
Thanks!

You can cut it from its original location and paste it to another location usimg root explorer. Whenever you upgrade it you can put it back to its original location. As simple as that.

Is there a way to automate that with Titanium backup I wonder? I'd really would like to avoid too many manual tweaks after each upgrade, especially if I don't upgrade for a while I'll forget all this...

You can mute camera shutter sound by going in camera settings.
Screen shots sounds will be gone too.

[ROM] [Bionic] SkyL1n3 (Updated 11-2)

This beast is not for the faint of heart...proceed with caution! Neither I or xda forums are responsible for what you do to your device, so make a backup!
This is skyl1n3, originally made for the d4 by z4ch_skyl1n3. It contains beats, fully functioning inverted gnow, inverted gapps built in (no gapps needed), themed, oc'd, extra gov's and i/o scheduler, and it's fast and good on battery. It is an AOKP based rom. Included now are practically all the mods and tweaks from the original d4 version of this rom. Only difference between the 4 & 5 slot versions is an fps cap which I had to keep on the 4 slot version because it would not boot (tweak can affect stability).
v1.2 ***MUST BE ON SS3 TO INSTALL***
-support for 4 & 5 slot devices
-added camera & gallery 4.2
-added keyboard 4.2
-added CPU sleeper to maximize battery
-added back trebuchet
-added inverted gdrive, google+, google music, twitter
-added new alerts and ringtones
-updated gnow lib
Thanks & Shoutouts:
z4ch_skyl1n3 for creating this rom
sparkyman for helping me out and testing
jp1044
romdroidhacks
teamhaters & all devs out there, you know who you are...
kcm6969 for testing
Bionic_Bran for testing
To install:
-be on safestrap
-wipe data
-wipe dalvik
-format system in advanced
-install zip
(if updating from beta just wipe cache and dalvik)
Now for the goods....

Going to flash this and try it out.

So some quick feedback, it could use a couple of more ring tones and delivery notification options. It customization is very good, almost overwhelming. The battery life so far seems to be better than the Axiom rom. The data doesn't seem to like bouncing back and forth between 3g and 4G like it does were I live. I am definitely interested to see how this rom grows.

Does webtop work? And what version is this? .232?

Looks nice, but i noticed one thing on the screen shots. Where are the power widgets on the pull down bar? Didn't see anything.

No hdmi, so no webtop. Runs great on 232 leak.

i seem to have encountered a bootloop. :/ i will fxz back to stock and go to .232 leak and try again
Flashed after going to .232 and works like a charm. Only issue I've seen this far is sometimes in text messages the text doesn't show as you type. Other than that, so far I'm loving it

An odd quirk I'm having is with Alarm Clock Plus. I test my alarm and it does the tones and speaks the time like it should, but in the morning when the alarm actually goes off all my phone does is vibrate. I've run the app on other ICS roms with no issues so not sure if it is just a compatibility issue with this rom or an oddity in the audio coding. Other than that, this rom has so many amazing settings choices. I could be tweaking this for so long it will help my crack flashing addiction
EDIT: The no sound issue for alarm only happens when I have the phone on the charging dock. I left it laying on the nightstand last night and the alarm did what it is supposed to this morning. It seems that under Setting > Dock > the audio isn't even able to be selected so that may be where the issue lies.
Also, now that I have ditched my D3 in favor of my Bionic, these are some other things I have found.
Seems to be some glitching in the screen rotation (ie. shrinks and then pops back when rotating.)
I have lost the phone function screen when on calls (ie. all I see is the notification bar)
Other than that, everything else is wonderful. Compared to the ICS issues I had on the D3, i'm loving having the bluetooth working clearly and camera function.
Thank you for porting this and for the original dev who put it together. Can't wait to see what you throw our way post Beta
EDIT: I'm starting feel like I'm the only one running this So, I've also found the Torch does not function, both in the notification icons and the power menu. I am also getting a battery drop abruptly from around 40 that goes down to 20. I have done a battery stat wipe and the run down and charge up, that's the only fix I can remember from my D1 days.
I've tried every time for the Bionic, and and this is by far the best rom. The only issue is the gallery forecloses when you try to crop a pic. Camera, camcorder, and panoramic works. I decided to replace this cam (4.2) with the stock (4.0) ICS camera and gallery. This rom is very stable, and fast. A lot of customizations with this rom. When I have more then 3 issues with a rom, I don't use it anymore. This rom, the only issue was the gallery.

I'm using it to. You're not the only one.. Lol. torch works for me, but I'm using the stock ICS camera and gallery. It didn't work for me when I was using the 4.2 camera. There's a setting for the battery 1% mod. I have a extended battery, which all rooms misread anyway. That's why it drops like that. Use the battery circle mod, it reads it better.

Thanks Furious, I'll check out the battery mod. I'm downloading the update now and see how the 4.2 camera/gallery behave for me.

I'm going to try this rom and I'll report back what I find.
*Edit* Ok, Rom installed and working fantastic. I was able to get wifi tether to work however, without encryption. Also, if you turn on and off wifi tether in numerous succession my phone crashed. I'm also experiencing a huge battery drop from 58% to 47% within 10 minutes after initial install of the rom. That's ok, I use the phone alot on wifi and lte. Thank you for this rom

[ROM] Delfin ICS v30b EUR OPEN beta 3 [best thing is the battery]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIYa72AmGw8
Translate sorry
How do you install?
The first is to have administrator rights (as root) and have a recovery (CWM) installed.
Once we have these requirements is necessary to cut or copy the rom as download, zipped (compressed) in the SD card (external memory).
Once we loaded Rom on the SD card and the phone go recovery mode (CWM)
Give Wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache partition followed and in advanced wipe dalvik cache find and wipe Battery Stats.
When we cleaned the phone with wipes proceed to install the desired rom giving Install zip from sdcard.
Wait to finish and give to reboot system now to reboot the phone.
It takes time ... Be patient!
Wala! Soon comes the setup (user settings) and you can taste the rom.

Sorry for my English
You removed almost everything from ics so why we are using ics?
you should name this the f--ked up rom , do you have personal grudge with quick memo? is it draining too much battery that feature make lg ics unique....and also whats wrong with the tones? is it that too many that you cant even choose what to use with your phone...
Dude you aren't alowed to use Rom Manager Premium in your Rom since it isn't free...
Please dont give us this kind of sh*t give us ics with good kernel tweaks and add custom grovenors (if you know what they are...) cuz every one could install new apps and remove sounds etc.

Review:
+ smooth, fast ( antutu 2975, quadrant 1955)
+ gsp worrking fine
+ Battery: I flashed 45min ago. but at least, i feel aceptable.
+ camera good
- sdcard scan stuck at 83% and take longgggg time to complete.
- in the first time use, camera and video record not respone. Force stop camera and it will working.
- volume and sound quality seem like not good when compare with offfical
- battery icon change per 5%. But i dont like it.because it isnt same with battery percent text.
- Led bug. Turn off led light. after lock screen, the leds still lighting up. and if I restart phone, leds always flash, and when you press it, it stop, but blue led still working.
Keep your good work. Thanks

* You can get a copy and format the sd have proper operation. I really works well
* I recorded with the camera without errors. Have you done all the wipes?
* * You can choose sound settings beats or audio fx (serie)
* Percent 5% do it for comfort. You can activate the 1% rate adjustments / energy saving
Thanks

Yes, i did full wipe.
+ formated SDcard and everything seem like better. i try to make a nandroid backup, and after boot, the first time it take 2minutes to completed. From second times, its fast.
+ about camera, that issue only happen in first time open after flash. After that, it worked fine. Maybe the issue from SD because I come from CM 10.1.
+ I test both beats and audio fx. But I think not good as offical. But similar CM10 . And call quality is good.
Hi, anyone know what kernel is good for this room? I tried with toccata 0.2 and prelude but it doesn´t work.

[Q] Flashlight brightness

Hi.We were walking at night with my friend in a park.We decided to test our flashlights. We turned them on and boom...my friend has an unrooted SGS2 and it had atleast 2x the power of my flashlight. So the next day i searched on how to increase the brightness of led and got to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086074
Added these lines but absolutely no change whatsoever. Can you help me or have another method?
Note:i am rooted and my bootloader is unlocked
Sorry for my poor english
down at "edit" is written:
"An alternative would be install pimp my Rom app, use flash led tweaks from it, reboot, then search build.prop for the lines mentioned above, edit them according to the above mentioned lines, save them and then reboot and find the difference in flash led in camera app (when the camera captures a pic, you will notice the difference) or, in custom roms, using just the flashlight app can show the difference."
did you try that?
Yea i did,on cm 10.1 and stock rom...no effect
