What did you have installed before you flashed the 2.3.5 ROM?

recalibrate mate!

i would also say recalibrate.
my battery life got better when i flashed 2.3.5 (i was on darkys)

Thanks guys !
So i believe it's a calibrating problem !! Could you show me how to do it ?
I was on Froyo 2.2 before flashing with odin to 2.3.5 and i'm not root
Thank you in advance

froyo -> gingerbread first you have to update bootloader during flash. then recalibrate.

I think it was updated during the flash process with odin

My Battery life is excellent if you want to calibrate just use Battery Calibration from the market easiest way

Install Cpu Spy and see if your phone gets any deep sleep... I had a problem where my phone would stay awake... Turns out the problem was my wifi router... switched routers and it sleeps like a baby...

it's help?

[Q] Installing MIUI 3.0 after Darky 10.1EE

As I'm experiencing major battery drainage even after calibrating the battery on my i9000 using Darky 10.1 Extreme Edition (DarkCore 2.4, JVO baseband), I decided to go with MIUI 3.0.
I'm kinda a noob when it comes to flashing, so I have one question.
Is there any difference between flashing MIUI from the stock ROM and flashing from Darky 10.1EE.
I don't want to brick my device (yet ) so any help would be appreciated.
EDIT: I surf about 45mins on HSDPA, play games for 45mins, surf 45mins on WiFi, auto brightness. I expect the battery to last at least 20 hours.
If you want to flash Galnet MIUI V3 you have to follow the steps from this manual: http://www.galnet.co.uk/miui/MIUI-MANUAL.pdf
Yeah, I know, but does it matter that I'm flashing from Darky?
It doesen't matter because you will downgrade your rom via odin when you flash froyo from the manual. Just follow the exact steps and you will not encounter any problems.
Ok, thanks.

miui galnet v2.2 also have the problem of battery drain , and i don't kno if this problem solved in v3 or not ,
this bug is the most thing annoy me since i changed to GB and i tried many many roms but no hope
only JVP 2.3.4 seems fixed this problem
but Galnet is awesome , fast , look , attractive
If you want a high battery life yoh shozldn't choose MIUI or CM7.
But try Juwe's 5.0.

don't know about technical details, but on my device LQ2 seems to have much better battery life than LPY, in fact on LPY battery consumption was so unstable i went back to GB for a while

They have the eMMc brick bug if you wipe data or factory reset...unless you use a custom kernel like franco or speedmod.
I have found myself getting more wakelocks with LQ2 , multipdp is taking up way more juice.
Changed the radio to a newer one and made no difference.
Only thing I have noticed is that I don't get pixel salad / garbled screen in LQ2 which I did in LPY now and then. Seems more stable to me.

Generally yes, after initial disappointment with LPY, i find the LQ2 with Franco kernel quite satisfactory (no revelations though), so I'm not going back to GB,
or you may want to wait for Samsung to release brick-free update - reportedly they're working on it (ETA unknown),
or wait for stable release of CM9, which should provide the best Android-experience ever
Thanks a lot !

Why you were disapointed by LPY? Im running it and it works just fine.
Does XXLQ2 has better battery life than LPY?

LPY worked ok, only battery consumption was much higher than on GB, and I could not find any way to make it behave. LQ2 -on my device - seems to have it solved (battery current usage in standby mode - with data off - below 10mA)
My Note is my daily driver and with LPY runs very good but battety life very poor after flash LQ2 my device runs more smooth and also battery life is better

Yes I agree, i think something when wrong while flashing. I had a similar issue although not as bad, but because i had no idea what to do I reflashed and it worked for me. Just like windows(if all else fails reinstall and evey thing is as good as new )

Stock ics 4.0.4 battery

Anyone else is having really fast battery drain? Especially connected to wifi,i sat with wifi on for 1-1.5hrs and it fell from 100 to 50 easily, really disappointed,i dont like using custom roms, but maybe there is other solutions to it? Or i just have to deal with it,tnx

I was having the same problem and for the very same reason I downgraded to GB from ICS.
But now I am back again on ICS with SpeedMod Kernel K3-13 and I have absolutely no regret.
I hated ICS for its pathetic battery life but now thats a thing of the past.
You too can try it.
On 4.0.3 i got wakelocks when plugging or unplugging while the phone was in sleep.
Since 4.0.4 i have great battery life and no unusual kernel wakelocks anymore
Just try 4.0.4
Battery life is far better than in 4.0.3

[Q] 2.3.3 or 2.3.6

Which firmware is better for smoth gaming,Android 2.3.3 or 2.3.6?Is battery always drain on 2.3.3?
Uhm. Usually I would point these kinds of questions to my thread in my signature but this is between different GB versions...
2.3.6 was pretty stable as far as I remember for games and the like. Never had 2.3.3 so I'm not entirely sure sorry.

if you have a choice between 2.3.3 and 2.3.6 why would you not go for the higher and updated version? if you can find a 2.3.7 rom that would be even better cyanogenmod 7.2 uses 2.3.7
You can try this rom:

Best GB ROM
Until 2 weeks ago I also used 2.3.6 on my Galaxy S plus. A year ago, 2.3.3.
2.3.6 was faster, but the more I used it the more curious was the behavior.
Sometimes it was not possible to quickly make a call. When I pressed the green telephone receiver icon, nothing happened. Only after about 30 seconds, the dial image was displayed and I could make calls.
I think it was due to modern apps, with simply overstrained the gingerbread system....
Currently I use the ADC team CyanogenMod 11.0 release and am very happy with it.
