flash stopped working (init. d) md5 mismatch - Motorola Droid 3

Alright so I seen the init d hack to increase performance and went ahead and booted into recovery made a backup and went ahead and did it noticed a few days later my flash doesn't work on the camera or the flash light app. Figured maybe it was because I had low battery ( idk why I thought that think I was tripping) so now I'm looking to see if maybe its just broke or maybe I did something wrong so I went to restore my backup and I'm getting a md5 mismatch any idea what I should do?

Is it dead? Try turning the phone completely off and plug the charger in. Does it charge that way? Also I would just forget the backup and start over with a wipe and maybe even reinstall the ROM.

A little help if possible

So i was flashing to CyanogenMod 7 and i left my phone on my desk, i walk back and see my little brother (4 y.o.) messing around with my phone when i checked everything it seems that after flashing he somehow wiped my internal sd card.
Now my phone just gets stuck at bootscreen and won't do anything else, i can't try to restore it and i can't mount it to my laptop ><
Does anyone know if this can be fixed or not? or if i'm able to somehow use odin to flash to the stock ROM?
EDIT: Nevermind looked at a stock rom post with a preset odin 3 and i believe its working
So you are unable to get into do mode or recovery mode?

Wrong way to install the CWR. My phone has a solution?

I'm so embarrassed to post this, but there we go.
CWM installed following the tutorial for the P920 using the 3D ROM MANAGER (rooted by superoneclick). Apparently installed successfully, but when trying to install the mod's ROMs (King_3d, and ThiaiZ KINGDROID), all of them will not boot completely and then turn off your device as you pressed the power button.
Trying to see what could be wrong, I saw on the back label that my device it's a P925. I was stupid and not able to make the backup old ROM.
I just killed my phone or there is still way out of it?
PS: I tried to run this rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270832 but this also does not boot completely, and the device shutting down.
Maybe a problem with the CWR?

Thanks, but i have no system running on phone to do this. I´m stuck on CWR with no rom.
How much battery do you have left? You should be able to boot completely with O3D ROMs, and for sure with the stock Thrill ROM. Also, are you doing a data wipe before hand?
If you can get into recovery, which sounds like you can, no need to reflash the recovery. As well, a boot loop usually means failure to wipe properly or wrong kernel (but that doesn't apply here at all).

Battery it´s full! All attempts i wape the cache , data & factory, and dalvik too.
Without success, the phone keeps Shutting Down after booting the ROM's. (I can see "reading sd card" on the top bar before shutting down screen.
Thank you in advance for the assistance.

Wait so you're actually able to boot into the operating system and then it just shuts off? Or does it reboot back to the boot screen? If its shutting off That sounds like something is wrong with the phone itself.
Try to redownload a fresh copy of the rom and push it to your SD card (check the md5 sums to be sure its right. If its not posted ask the dev to put it up). Boot into clockworkmod and go to mounts and storage. From there format /system /data and /cache. Now install the rom and reboot.

There's no reason for the phone to shut off like that. Even if you are getting bad rom flashes. Unless..
I gotta ask...is the battery charged? You can lose a lot of battery being in recovery and going through reboots. It could actually be that the battery is not charged or is defective. Try charging and/or replacing the battery.

I have good news! Or bad news too. I just decided to turn on the device with the USB cable plugged in and booted it as well. He is not holding battery charge, consisting as 0% of charged. I tested another battery from a friend and did the same thing. If I unplug the USB cable the device shutting off immediately. It may be a software problem or a hardware problem coincidentally?

Edit: it appears they're having the same problem over in the O3D forums. Try restoring the stock firmware and stock recovery. I would also try formatting all your partitions individually (you will lose data so backup first).

I set my phone for Stock & Recovery firm, unrooted. Nothing doing! I give up, nobody knows how to solve this problem. I'm totally frustrated with it.

Hi, I have a huge problem with my phone.

So I rommed and rooted the phone, last night I charged it up to 100% percent (i did the battery callibration a few days ago) and today morning I woke up and I found my phone (I turned it off for the night) with 0% battery, and it wont charge at all,i tried to wipe the battery data, and it still won't help, any suggestions?
BTW my ROM ver-CM7
and the version of this CM7 is ?
the version is 7-11162011-NIGHTLY
i don't know for sure what build it is, but it should be #20 or the Kang
1. as i believe, there's no way to turn off the phone while it's charging
are you sure it's CM7 and it turned off last night?
2. if the battery show 0% and it won't charging, how did you wipe the data ?
however, try to do a factory reset
i managed to do so in the little time window when i plugged my phone to the charger and it works for like 1.5 minutes thats all i could do,now i was successful of charging my phone but it quickly decharges.
Also my phone doesnt pick up the sd card and im already frustrated
Reflash with newest cm7 build and nova v11c . Also try to do battery reset cwm->advandced >batterystats wipe
I hope this helps

can you explain how to i reflash and give me a link for the cm7 build?
thanks!
P.S
Perhaps i should erase everything from my phone and bring it back to android 2.2.2 and then re-do everything again with a different cm7?
Get.cm.com then search for p970 download the zip file i think it's build #24 copy to your sd card and reboot into recovery then press install zip and select the cm7 zip install and try to boot see what happends
Goodluck!

Have you done a factory reset?
If you've done it already, and the battery still drop hard, open the SpareParts -> battery information -> see the battery health
Or you can try to calibrate it (Battery Calibration from market)
Sent from my heart into yours
Try to mount the sd card in cwm that should work

Maybe your battery died , it happends i think you can test that the way agent said

I finally fixed the phone,i have restored it to the previous setting from the date i bought it,and the battery works much better, though it still uncharges preety fast, during the night,11hs from recharging it dropped 20%,i still dont get it,ill try to calibrate but i dont think it will help.
Ill keep you posted.

[Q] What to do when I soft brick.

I was installing the DA Statusbar mod. Before I did that I back up my phone using CWM and Titanium Backup.
installed with no problems, I then rebooted. Home screen froze for a second and then showed me that my system.ui crashed. It kept doing that for a good 5 minutes. I decided to go back into CWM and restore my last saved state. I recieved an error installing the back ups (I have made 5 so far).
Now I don't really know what to do. I know I have to basically start from the beginning via flashing stock rom on odin. But how would I go about doing that? I can't seem to find the thread that explains this. =/
Thanks in advanced
SOLUTION HERE
You need to be much more specific. What's your recovery version? How did you backup/restore? Have you done this before? What's the error?
Use the unified tool kit to flash the stock rom.
I strangely cannot find a thread for the 9305 for stock roms =\
The stock firmware can be found on sammobile

To shorten the question and answers... If you could still boot to Download mode.
Flash your stock original firmware trhu Odin on your pc or download an exact model for your phone in SamMobile. From there you start a new... Root then re flash the cwm and so on...
If I understand this right you can boot to cwm and you can boot into the phone but the systemui fcs.
You can do a couple things here without having to reflash anything through odin. If you have your original systemui on the phone somewhere you can try and navigate to it with a root explorer then copy it into your system/app reboot and it should be as before, this can be tricky with constant fc's.
If you have a zip which has a systemui in it you can flash that in cwm and should fix the problem.
If you have a custom rom on your phone you can boot into cwm and flash it.
The fact that you have access to cwm and the phone boots but the systemui constantly fc's making the phone unusable means you have more options and quicker ways to get your phone working then going back to scratch and flashing a rom through odin

Solution.
Basically I got stuck at the samsung boot logo for ages.
I am running CWM v5.5.0.4. I have done this before, sorry I wasn't specific, I was trying to multitask. I've attached a screenshot of my phone info for everyone to see.
1. I wiped data/factory reset.
2. Wiped cache partition.
3. Wiped Dalvik Cache
4. Battery Stats
Rebooted, still no luck.
I went into Download mode.
Opened Odin.
Downloaded " Param_Bin_I9305.zip - 612.14 KB" located in this post
Followed the instructions in that post.
rebooted.
Thought it didn't work but my capacitive buttons lit up. SUCCESS!
Saw my homescreen, I thought I would have needed to root again but I managed to get into CWM after rebooting.
I downloaded root checker....I saw that I still had root access.
Installed Pandoriam v6.
Now I am back to normal.
My CWM backup didn't save me, I don't really know why. Maybe I was using it wrong? The thing is It's worked with me in the past, but not on this device.
Is there anyone that could shed light on that issue? I'll try and back it up again. Do I need to repeat the backup more than a few times to register it to the device?
Not sure if this is the right place or not but seems to be a similar situation.
I have a month old S3 LTE that came with 4.1.2 . It has not been rooted or had anything done to it at all.
I found a thread that shows you how to unlock it but was not getting the final option . This I understood was because some of these phones needed to be downgraded .
I saw a procedure using odin and looked for a similar rom on Sammobile but could not see any for Orange UK so picked a random 4.1.1 Rom and flashed it.
This left me with a glowing Samsung boot screen so I tried another ROM and another ROM and finally when giving up choose a current 4.1.2 Rom for EE but that too is stuck at the same place.
Can you help me work out where I am or have been going wrong please?
The Phone is from Orange UK ( EE ) but there was no branding on it .
i also neglected to note the Rom that was on it
if you read the guides you will find out that you need to factory reset after flashing
Unfortunately as the phone is sitting at a glowing Samsung logo, I cannot factory reset. In fact I cannot do anything except keep throwing Roms at it, unless you have any other suggestions?

Motorola Droid Bionic Stuck in Boot Loop

Okay, so I know there are a bunch of threads concerning boot loops, but I just do not know where to go next. So, I was trying to update to Cyanogen mod 10.1 from eclipse gingerbread with clock work mod. The flashing seemed successful, but the phone will only go to the red motorola screen. I cannot seem to find clockwork mod at all with numerous different button combinations. I am able to get into the boot menu and the android system recovery, but flashing any .zip file results in a whole value signature error. Please help me as I can not go long without a phone and thank you in advance. I've tried using Rsd lite 5.6 to flash back to stock, but there was a low battery warning that prevented it. Is there any way to accomplish charging without buying an external battery charger or cable?

Do you have a warranty still? best way to flash roms is through safestrap. That app is almost fool proof.
the only way to be able to reprogram the thing to stock with no battery life left would be to either purchase a motorolla factory cable (or make your own from a spare usb cable) which when used should automatically put your device into factory reprogramming mode.. if im not mistaken this will even work with no battery in there at all. then just RSD lite to FXZ back to stock.
I guess I should have closed this a while ago. The phone is fixed. Sorry for not updating.
